She's absolutely gorgeous, saw them live in Bristol tonight, the right mix of sultry, sassy and sexy with Gus laying down the grooves immaculately. Such a good live performance. So glad to discover Boy Harsher.
I saw her on stage 1 month ago and i can't just recovered from that! They are just pure magic, just fucking amazing and this weekend i just got one of their album in viny 💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤💜🖤
Boy Harsher is such a great band. Too much underarated. Their music is so sexy, touching. Sometimes it makes me cry, it always makes me dance 🖤🖤🖤 Very High quality
Jae was so right about russian crowds at concerts. We value foreign musicians very much because we rarely get to see live shows, not everyone wants to even come near Russia because of politics. Which is sad because we are just people, we have nothing to do with that and there’s no point in ‘punishing’ us for the stuff our government does by never touring in Russia. I could never dream I would see Boy Harsher live, but when it happened it was a dream come true. Sure some people just travel to Europe for concerts but not everyone can afford it.
I love my Russian friends and we as people of this earth need to stop generalizing based on politicians which are the worst people whom seem to not belong in this earth!!!!
I met Jae in Asheville, NC last month after a show, and she was incredibly sweet. I almost met Gus as well. In fact I was standing maybe 6 inches away from him outside of a bar waiting to get in, but I didn't say hello because he was just sort of vibing with his eyes closed, head bobbing to music that didn't exist outside of his head, and I didn't want to ruin his vibe. Next time!
I had never heard of these guys, until I saw them at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, I got taken there by a few friends. Wow, what a pleasant surprise. One of the weekend highlights! Seeing them at 2 am in an industrial shipping area repurposed for a festival is the ideal setting. It was a RAVE, and I mean that in the real sense of the word. People were lost in the music. Absolutely loved it. See you on your next EU tour!
Seeing Boy Harsher live in Leeds was an experience !! Never seen anything like it. Finding out right before the show Jae was in filmmaking really motivated me to keep pursuing this field. Massive inspiration the both of them !
Awesome interview , the girl interviewing this artist did a great job. Like watching two friend talking, perfect. Yeah this band is incredible , I found them about 2 years ago . The track , "your body is nothing ", Was amazing and the rest of the album was unique and fresh , dark and yes the perfect "sad dance music" I agree , and I found that very Original and deep. I wish boy harsher the best , brilliant beat driven sound with that deep mournful vocal over it is intense. Another 2 piece boy and girl team I love is phantogram. I have boy harsher in my collection next to my minimal and darkwave. Good stuff.
Boy Harsher are a fantastic band! 💜 Their new album is brilliant. The interviewer did an amazing job, she really did her homework and asked great questions. So refreshing to watch/listen to. This is my second time watching this interview! 💜💘💜
I met her in person. She is a huge inspiration for me but the person i counter left me feeling weird it seemed she was not interested in talking to me I asked her how she was and she was very short and that’s ok. Made me realize to not put people in pedestals. We’re all just regular people. Anyways still will enjoy their music.
Elizabeth Moreno she may have been tired/exhausted, interally struggling with something, maybe even just had an upset stomach. I’m glad you still find her music inspirational though despite not having enjoyed actually meeting her. I only come to her defense in this because I used to play shows years ago and barely anyone knew that I had been taking care of my mom who had been battling cancer for 10 years and stuck in a wheelchair and addicted to opiates after she broke a few bones while on chemo. I rarely only got to go out to play music and was extremely sad inside and worried for mom, going out to play was my only therapy. It turned out someone had went around saying I was a “rude and disrespectful bitch” because he had wanted to chit chat but I cut it off and left because I was depressed and also needed to get back to mom. Sorry for the ramble, i’m just trying to explain we don’t always know what people are going through and shouldn’t take how they behave personally unless they’ve went out of their way to verbally and/or physically assault you..
Well said. It is always healthy to know talented artists are humans just like you and me. ✌🏽💓 That is why groupies’ mentality is dying out. It was pretty pathetic to see people idolizing people in an uncontrollable manner.
It´s so good to see them (or at least one of them...) telling something about themselves. She seemed to be really calm and funny during this conversation. Very nice interview btw! Thanks a lot for producing such a nice material! Greetings from Brazil!
I'd rather say the Europeans are less stiff and appreciate Boy Harsher's music more their American audience do. We know and love good electronic music, as it is a significant part of our music history and culture already since the 70ties/80ties starting with Kraftwerk going through Depeche Mode, New Order, you name it. Come back to Frankfurt am Main, Germany again. Your concert in the Zoom Club was unforgetable.
I grew up bumping rap and I mean that real gangster shit not this new shit but anyways I had a spiritual awakening i really didn’t Resonate with the music I grew up to started Listening to prayers cholo goth n open a new world I didn’t know about then boy harsher Heard this band on Pandora and been a fan ever since I swear haven’t heard one song I didn’t like from them real true talented souls on earth between those two bands there music gets me threw the day
The thing about Europe is that electronic music didnt have this decline in the 90's like it did in the states. In the states, all the post-ndustrial bands fell apart or became "industrial rock." Because of the pressure to emulate grunge. Grunge had a really negative effect on the American music scene. Sure, techno was around, but it was a lot different from dark wave and post-industrial. In Europe however, Grunge didnt come to dominate and bands werent under pressure to go in a guiatr heavy direction. Plus, electronic music was always more popular in Europe. Also, Hip Hop didnt really catch on in Europe either. Thankfully, we never saw awful "rap rock," abominations like Limp Bizkit or Korn over there. The 2nd half of the 90's and the 00's in American music was a real low point imho. Not until the 2010's, thanks to social media like RUclips did we see real artists become popular again.
for sure it is surreal - a russian audience singing to the lyrics of boy harsher - why don't the american sing the lyrics?? are they more superficial? she says they are more accustomed to live shows and bands of all sorts playing ... that is true for sure .... but there must be something else ... but i don't know
As a beautiful feminine woman who loves women, I loved seeing the female interviewer she is gorgeous just beautiful 💜 I love Boy Harsher music very erotic sensual dark mood..
na your ok...she is sexy in her own way...she has confidence and shes knows what shes doing and saying so she dont even thinnk about superficial shit fake women obsess over. Confidence can change a person...imagine her with no confidence and down on herself and life...she wouldnt even look the same..and youd be heeellll no! haha myself I like the females who are all that perfect and not trying to look like some model...the ones that are to themselves and kind of nerdy sorta..I'd talk to first for sure...they usually end up freaky deaky ;) and one more thing is she obviously has a brain that works like it's suppse to...a women with one of those..even a little more advanced that usual like her is hard to find...and of course it could be that dont get out near enough to know haha
American crowds are bit too cool for the sake of being cool. As strange as that sounds, American audiences are just too into themselves to really show love to artists compRed to European audiences.
I love Boy Harsher for many reasons.
1 they have something, and they own it and do it well
2. The sound is awesome
3.they have love

If you are referring to the "Motion" video, that's indeed Kristina Esfandiari. She performs with King Woman and as Miserable :)
