Zim Zum wrote guitar parts for 10/14 tracks on Mechanical Animals. I think you're thinking of Antichrist Superstar. Twiggy wrote the majority of that album because Berkowitz quit during recording.

it's so odd but so interesting to think that this is the same person who had the twiggy persona and wore the green baby doll dress and combat boots with dreads and drool pouring out of his mouth carrying around a lunchbox and a tape recorder on MTV in the 90's. Jeordie White is forever rad dude.

It's always so cool to find that in this series metal guys always seem to have the most varied taste in music. They listen to everything, metal, jazz, blues, folk, rock, soul, everything. Whereas indie, electronic or hip hop groups seem to stick to their music - mainly, not always - which limits them in my opinion that is. Great video by the way.

Nope. “Mainly, not always” is right on the dot. Many young, aspiring artists have limited taste these days and stick to what they know. I’ve met them. It amazes me how they’re able to limit their musical palette so much, considering all the amazing music from past decades.

I met them in a club in Chicago in the 90s. Hung out with them a while. They were so nice and polite, very cool. I have pics from a photo booth where things got really fun. Good times.

It's pretty revealing to see musicians, like Twiggy here but others as well, in a casual relaxed setting being themselves. It just goes to show how much of their personas are really just characters that they play. In Marilyn Manson's autobiography from '98, Manson tells a story about hanging out with Church of Satan founder Anton LaVey and how LaVey was a master of creating an image and fabricating a public mythology about himself. I always suspected that was a not-so-subtle wink on Manson's part, hinting that a lot of his own book was intended to do the same thing- create a mythology about himself.
