  • The Talpagiri Ranganathaswamy Temple, also known as Ranganayakulu Temple, is one of the oldest temples in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Dedicated to Lord Ranganatha, a reclining form of Lord Vishnu, the temple is believed to be built around the 12th century.
Located on the banks of the Penna River, the temple complex is known for its grand entrance tower, the Gaali Gopuram, which stands at about 70 feet tall. The main sanctum houses a 10-foot-long idol of Lord Ranganatha reclining on the serpent Adi Sesha. Inscriptions suggest the main structure and extensions were built by the Chola kings.
