Man I love this show. As a life long Michigander, who has property in northern Michigan and spent a lot of my life there, and also in Canada, I like to think I have a lot in common with the boys of Possum Lodge lmao. I'll never forget when Steve (Red) came to Somerset Mall here to do an autograph signing at the PBS store when I was a kid. I was 13, and it was all older men, except for my family. I was the only young guy there and shook his hand and got him to sign my "we can't help it, we're men" tape lol. Then we "won" tickets to see the show filmed in Hamilton Ontario. I suspect everybody "won" because it was a 2 hour telethon. We went though. It was awesome. I got to meet a lot of the cast, and I brought red a neck tie I made out of duct tape. It was on display at the studio for a while. I had never been to Hamilton, but I'll never forget, I brought my friend and we were laughing because you could stand in a Tim Hortons parking lot and see at least two other Tim Hortons signs from anywhere in the area lol. Even with Michigan's close proximity to Canada, we didn't get Tim Hortons until I was in High school. I remember thinking "wow, dunkin donuts is far superior to this"
This is classic Canadian comedy, I'd also recommend Royal Canadian Air Farce. Uhh the older montreal standup was good too. I'm bad with names, I remember Rob White being fantastic, and an older fellow with white hair half bald, had some real nice takes on religion. While still being funny.
@@emilyakalbun5540 Ah srry the name blanked on me. Just for laughs. I'm sure you watched a few of their shows, I like the late night standup. They are based in Montreal still do shows, live stuff too. But it's so-so. They also had gags and prolly some other stuff.
Fun fact... US Navy uses rifles to shoot "messenger lines" from ship to ship, used to drag progressively heavier lines across. (probably used by just about every nations' naval services and "Coast Guard" rescue teams)
F Huber it’s how ships are refueled and restocked while at sea...and in some cases it’s how they transfer people and seriously wounded people who can’t be flown out
As I watch and watch and watch these old RG episodes, I can clearly see the old tried-and-true comedy formula of being rodeo master surrounded by a bunch of wild horses: Bob Newhart, Andy Griffith and Red Green. Oh, and Jack Benny.

Must be you've never seen a bang flag shot out or even a starter pistol fired at a race. How peaceful is impaling a metal hook into a fish and dragging it through and out of the water, then gabbing the fish to forcibly remove the hook? If the fish is thrown back, it's so called peaceful experience is over. But if it's kept to be butchered and eaten, that doesn't sound very peaceful. I'll go clean and oil my firearms so I'll be ready to hold on to my freedom when the socialist try to take them away so they can destroy my country to fill their pockets with other peoples money. It's sad that a person needs any weapon to protect them selves or others. Just maybe if the cause of need was fixed, then there wouldn't be a need to use or a problem.
Wish I had this show growing up! But I'm an American born in the late 90's. In my late teens I watched Tool Time with Tim Allen and this reminds me of it only it's Canadian which means it's crazier and better in it's own way. If only the to shows merged, this guy and Tim Allen could be quite funny.
Those 2 shows were on at the same time. They were both shot in the 90's and were both part of my childhood. Red Green aired in the US too. This show continued into the mid 2000's but Home Improvement actually ended earlier, before the millennium, so if you watched it in your late teens those were reruns.
In the boat scene their boat was still. Only camera guy was moving around them. I think they are usually in a moving boat, but now I have to pay more attention
18:43 has anyone ever called those two phone numbers on the side of Winston's truck? and someone or voice mail answered and you said i need my septic sewage sucked ?
I think it's best that the writer of the letter shouldn't tell his wife that he's in love with Queen Elizabeth because there's a chance he might get crowned, and not in a good way.
The man playing think his name in this is himpshawnasee the man who is always telling stories and not telling the truth well he played the dad who is a ghost of the Mountie in that tv show called due South
Man who plays red green he was in an episode of the tv show called due South he in the episode he was in a small aireport the episode was when the city cop and the Canada Mountie there plane crash

That musket fishing pole was the most canadian-american thing I've ever seen...
I kept thinking, "it MIGHT work"
The closet I've seen to something like that in real life was like a speargun sorta deal
Have you seen a K car?
I was expecting a propane tank and pvc piping lol.
I never get enough of Red Green. A real man !
Red Green is a man's man. Or at least a close proximity.
Honestly, this show is so hysterical, and the observations about men and women are so spot on it scared me. I was like "have you met my mum and Dad?"

The Queen Elizabeth conversation hits differently now!
9:18 Steve, on the 24th of this year you WILL be 73! Almost 18 years later...
Is it me or does that fishing musket rod idea sound like it could work?🤔😅
7:20 "Tailgater!" Had me laughing 😂
I can always watch the red green show, I love it.
If the Possum Van leaks as much oil as I think it does, there's really no reason to keep changing it, just keep adding!
Been watching this show for maybe 20 years.
Winston: “We sit in this boat for hours and barley say two words with each other.”
Red: “Well, I’m thinking of those TWO WORDs right now, Winston!”
🤣

Great show and the fact they don't copy right is a HUGE bonus
Best group of Canadians on TV!
They can be funny, but I prefer Red Green.
Dalton never fails to impress. If you don't know, check out the reenactment episode.

You have to love those Canadians...eh.
Do you know why Canadians say eh so much when they talk in general?
How do you spell Canada?
C-eh- N-eh-D-eh
I always thought that was a stereotype, but they do say eh a lot in this show.
