Edgar and Hap are by far my favorite characters on this show. Only Buzz is annoying, but he has to be a good writer if he keeps showing up in the credits.
@gettintheresafelywithpatf2869 There's a lot of good TV shows and Commedians out of Canada. SCTV, Schitts Creek, Trailer Park Boys. Can't think of anything else but those are great. 💕💕💕
What amazes me about this thirty year old show, is how relevant it has remained. Politically incorrect even for the time it was made, it would be suppressed in these less humorous times. Love the show, Steve Smith is a genius, the cast of characters are unforgettable and I'm eternally grateful.
@jeffreyhanna9538 so it is Jeffrey, so it is. We are expected to couch our words so as not to offend the eternally offended. You couldn't make a show like Red Green in today's world I Red...
The cops in my area have headlights and flashing lights that will literally blind you at night, I've been blinded and ironically nearly gotten into an accident more then once because the cop wanted to give someone a ricien for going 5mph over the limit
I'm catching up on these later episodes. I'd never seen the guys doing yoga before. That was one of the funniest Adventure segments ever. Wayne Robson (Mike Hamar) just seems to be naturally hilarious and is a perfect mismatch with Ed Frid.
When I was in the navy, A buddy of mine mounted a set of landing lights from an F14 behind the grill of his car, he had to install a bigger alternator plus another battery to make the light circuit a 24-volt system. It melted the aluminum grill. it would set a newspaper on fire from about a foot away.
I know they’ve used at least 3-4 different Possum vans throughout the course of the show, maybe even more. If you compare pictures of the vans between the seasons, there’s minor differences in the possum paint jobs.
Eric Whitney first was a complete write-off that they couldn’t save and was acknowledged as such on the show(the one with the tail), there was a couple of episodes with a sliding door version, then there’s this one which has slightly brighter blue with a newer grill
Thoes were 2005 phones just talk and text. Now you can get a smartphone for $100. Only the iPhone is $1000 thats $100 for the phone and $900 for that Apple logo.
I noticed that in some versions of The Possum Lodge Word Game, the word is placed so the person guessing the word can easily turn his head and read it right off the card. Was that meant to be done like that? Would it mean to be that Ed is so stupid that he cannot look at the card and read the word off of it?
I suppose that it could be construed that way. Kinda like an honor system not to cheat. The one character to "cheat" was Mike. Dave (Steve Smith's RL son) said that the 'Word Game' started off without the reading of the word, but some viewers wrote in and asked them to read the word out, to help convey the "joke".
i too have a hobby of putting things on the rail.road tracks... i have a dream of putting coins on the rail just right to make conehead president coins
Try a 480w led light bar. Have 2 facing toward the front 1 to each side and on back. Tells everyone with bright lights no later where they are to fuck off
I almost never use my now. At least where I live the options are total trash these days. All gone down hill for pretty much everything in the stores here. The models suck with less kool features... Well , less features in general. The latest OS and updates for everything is gone to ****! And to make it worse, I'm paying more than my previous awesome cell phone, which is now not as good due to all the crap updates all the developers keep messing up. And then there's the security issues now. They all be getting lazy, dumb and uncaring in their job, more and more as the time goes by. Things just getting more crappy and more expensive. Soon I will stop using tech completely. All they do now is p*** me off all the time. I'm almost never in a good mood with everything going wrong... Not just the tech, but everything else.
please, not at my age and after prostate surgery , a beautiful slender female yoga instructor??? worst red green show i ever watched, dammit !!! " oh the humanity " ( or was that oh the inhumanity ? ) ... sigh
Hilarious episode, but I think the opening scene with the “high beams” was recycled from an earlier episode... And with all the apps on phones today, you don’t even need to activate a phone because you can still use all the features with WiFi.
Eric Whitney the opening scene is new...it references the 2004/2005 strike which was current then. The idea is new as well, he’s done defensive weapons against other drivers but not what he created this episode
Mike is the best possum lodge word game announcer.
Enthusiastic energy he's awesome.
"And Edgar, I understand you're a hobbyist..."
"Oh no, Harold, I'm Presbyterian!"
OMG!!!!! LOL!!!!
Edgar and Hap are by far my favorite characters on this show. Only Buzz is annoying, but he has to be a good writer if he keeps showing up in the credits.
Edgar was the best side character
One of the very few truly great things to ever come out of public television.
MichaelMMiddleton098 what’s even more surprising is.... it came from Canadian public television!!!
Pat F not entirely true: it came from Canadian over the air independent and commercial TV stations before being picked up by public TV!
Yes, mostly English dramas
@gettintheresafelywithpatf2869

Wife and I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.. quality clean humor is rare these days!!
I know this show will be great forever.
Ok...seriously, a trucker friend of mine rigged a commercial jet's landing lights on his truck for "high beams".... Not kidding.
MichaelMMiddleton098 I had landing lights for a Cessna on my blazer as high beams. they were par36 bulbs so they fit in tractor work light housings.
Seen it myself...they spend good money on their trucks!
That sounds dangerous
It's amazing how far some people are willing to go to save money.
How did y'all keep the van running through 15 years...of craziness? Fun
More than one van
The yoga bit was even funnier!
It was definitely a lodge moment.

It's true.
I can totally relate to Red. High beams on drilling into my eyes like I'm having laser surgery. 😅😅😅
15:31 best b&w Red Green ever!, this episode is 10/10!
I have often wanted 30,000,000 candlepower high beams to counter the asshats who won't dim their lights.
The FORD MOTOR COMPANY PUT TOO BRIGHT OF HEADLIGHTS IN.LOOK UP the CANDLE POWER IT'LL SHOCK U.😏
The cops in my area have headlights and flashing lights that will literally blind you at night, I've been blinded and ironically nearly gotten into an accident more then once because the cop wanted to give someone a ricien for going 5mph over the limit
LED headlights ought to be outlawed. Period.
The "can you hear me now" joke is old now and wore out its welcome but Mike makes it work in this episode.
I'm catching up on these later episodes. I'd never seen the guys doing yoga before. That was one of the funniest Adventure segments ever. Wayne Robson (Mike Hamar) just seems to be naturally hilarious and is a perfect mismatch with Ed Frid.
The car lights bit was "Laugh out loud funny!"
9:33 *CONFIRMED!* Red is a major Jeff Gordon fan!!!!
I actually knew a trucker who mounted a jet landing light on his truck for the same purpose...not kidding.
When I was in the navy, A buddy of mine mounted a set of landing lights from an F14 behind the grill of his car, he had to install a bigger alternator plus another battery to make the light circuit a 24-volt system. It melted the aluminum grill. it would set a newspaper on fire from about a foot away.
Did anybody notice that this is the SHORT Possum Van? Yes, folks, there is apparently a stunt van...
I know they’ve used at least 3-4 different Possum vans throughout the course of the show, maybe even more. If you compare pictures of the vans between the seasons, there’s minor differences in the possum paint jobs.
Nope, normal one...
Eric Whitney first was a complete write-off that they couldn’t save and was acknowledged as such on the show(the one with the tail), there was a couple of episodes with a sliding door version, then there’s this one which has slightly brighter blue with a newer grill
LOL !!!!!!. Love the show.
it's cool how this was before Herald knew about apps or wifi.
Reminds me of Minnesota
Love the yoga skit😂
Red's not a technophobe, he just doesn't like to pay more than his annual income.
To a women, dinner is the culmination of efforts, to a man its the prelude to a game!
9:11 Now that's a boot anchor!
Time less humor!😂
So much timeless fun
I could do something Constructive, but I will watch R & G reruns instead.
Graham Greene!!!
You'd never get away with the CO2 squeaky brakes in Eburg! Not enough damage to lungs/environment/sanity
The yoga scene is priceless
Best convos on the phones hahahahaha
300 bucks for a cell phone is still crazy to me tbh
This is good wholesome entertainment
Mike is a legend
I like the yoga teacher's high beams
@7:17 I don't know who that Native guy is talking with Harold but he's been in a lot of TV shows and movies over the years.
That’s Native Canadian/Oneida actor Graham Greene who has performed in TV, movies, and stage productions in Canada, US, and UK.
1:37 is that Ricky in the shit-mobile???
Quando omni flunkus moritati.
Ah for Smith and Smith on CHCH TV again.
Classic
If you're have trouble making outgoing calls try the allbran
So... I gotta know, what happened to Ranger Gord...?
Still up there in the tower.....
They are so funny😂
300$ for a phone. it's like 1000$ now.
Thoes were 2005 phones just talk and text. Now you can get a smartphone for $100. Only the iPhone is $1000 thats $100 for the phone and $900 for that Apple logo.
I got my current one for about $300. My previous phone was $500. I always get Samsung phones.
11:31 ain’t that the truth about certain people running certain countries
C'mon man!
For for adults of course

Has the Possum Van always been a Dodge Ram? I figured it was domestic, but it looks like a Ford Transit.
yes, its always been a ram
And for the sake of Red and the people of Ontario, Canada, the Ram van has always been built in Canada; Windsor, Ontario to be exact.
@ 14:26 there is a picture on the wall behind harolds head of a naked girl...
All versions were the same make and model but slight differences
I hate cell phones.
Me too. But if you drive what I do, half million mile vehicles, they can come in handy.
Did Winston remind anyone else of Smeagol ?
German shepherds roflmbo
55w HID headlights for the win!!
Try a 480w led light bar. Have 2 facing toward the front 1 to each side and on back. Tells everyone with bright lights no later where they are to fuck off
🤣🤣🤣
Winston and Sméagol are the same
😂😂😂😂
Buncha cereals contain free stuff and I have a cell phone and I like it when I was in cellphone heck

I use a folder, ten years old or so. No text, no video, probably should have a crank on the side - does the job though, cheap.
Cell hell😎💐
I swear I can tell when Mike is baked...
The yoga chick looks like one of my ex/s...
@ 14:26 there is a picture behind harolds head of a naked girl..
J M no there isn’t
