Changing up my routine really helped get fresh ideas flowing throughout the day
I'm glad you touched on mindset!
I think many of us need to know this even if many of these tips are obvious, but sometimes we are stuck and don't know what to do in that state of mind. So, this video is like a deep breath. But I have to add something: to keep a healthy mind we could meditate a little bit on the meaning of the project & try to connect with it.

Wow. I’m not a film maker; however, I still am a content creator and I’ve been in a creative rut for sometime now. I’m excited to get back to making videos. Thanks for the tips man!
Thx that was a fab' presentation and I can fully relate ... even though the solutions seem obvious when watching an informative vid' like this when you are jammed in a creative rut it sure can snowball for a long time ... scheduling is so key for film-makers too and I find I'm even scheduling in meditation and powerwalks yet sometimes I find just surrendering to the natural energetic ebb n flow works i.e. allow yourself to just lie flat on the floor (if you have a WFH Home office that is) and stare into space and allowing the mind to drift while you recoup often rekinidles the creative spark. My latest rut is having been sitting on the proverbial fence looking at AI while producing my films using traditional VFX and live-action, doing loads of research and not knowing when/where to jump in and start due to variables such as QC not being good enough for motion as yet etc ... but the 'doodling' 'sketching' process of art perhaps applies too i.e. allow yourself to just have fun and experiment and doodle before planning the next more logistic driven production.

Thanks alot for this video. You have just takled our general problem. Well, here at Black Rayz whenever such seasons come, a change in environment and routines does help out. And sometimes, I personally think that for the kinds of work we do, our brains will never settle in w continous routine or pattern, so we are supposed to keep changing in our daily routines cause even just changing the studio set-up will do a great job for u. 😊

I struggle SOOOO much when is comes to editing. I always start projects & loose my motivation to finish when I start editing because I get option paralysis don't know which edit would look the best! :(
I guess you have to plan the story of your video a little bit before you start to edit. Filmmaking is a continuous journey and editing it's a part of that journey, so it takes time to be better at your craft. Never forget that in this journey learning, making and repeating are the cores of the growing process. All the best! 🙏
reach a good enough point and move on. once you finish the timeline you can revisit and brush up but a 80% of the creative product is better than an unfinished one
