    I love IOD. I have that stamp. I cut mine up so I don't have to peel it away. My fingers get stuck on the rubber. Makes it easier to put pressure and not move it. Great piece of art.

      You know the couple of times that I've used the IOD transfers topped with GH have sold so I'm really not sure how they've held up? I won't use GH with their transfers again knowing now there's been issues. I'm so glad you mentioned that cause I really didn't know. See how much we benefit from your tutorials! Simple comments are so informational to me, all of us. I caught that comment immediately too.

    I recently started painting/refinishing furniture and so glad I found your channel. You are a great teacher and I'm learning from your channel. Since I'm a beginner, I purchased my chalk paint... from Wal-Mart and Michaels. I noticed you like Dixie Belle paint which I've heard is good paint. Have you tried Annie Sloan, which I've heard is a good paint as well. My next chalk paint... purchase will be: Dixie Belle or Annie Sloan--is there a difference between the two products? I love how you painted and included IOD transfer called wander to the blanket chest--what a big difference. It's now a beautiful and "happy" piece of furniture. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to future video's from you. Take care

    • @BellaRenovare
      @BellaRenovare  3 года назад

      Hi Brenda!! so....dixie belle has great self leveling qualities to it and a huge color palette, Annie Sloan is a little more thicker and you have to sand too get a smoother finish but it is a good paint too.
      I just prefer Dixie Belle because it is more beginner and user friendly without having to sand the finish smooth and such

    Hia I am from the UK and am a bit confused as to what IOD is, is it a brand name or a company name. It doesn't have a outlet over here. I also have another query because I noticed that you applied the paint directly on the varnished wood and I wondered if this was because of your use of chalk paint as opposed to emulsion. Thanks for your channel. Love it even though only recently found you.

    Well, I have a few paint jobs, well big jobs, to paint our kitchen cabinets and when my husband gets a built-in cabinet put into the dining room (small, 1950s ranch), to paint that. You are giving me ideas. I am not sure about painting cabinets, never tried it. Your blending techniques might actually work well in our space. For your videos, I think you need better lighting. I am also surprised you don't work over a drop cloth. Maybe that's just me.

    • @BellaRenovare
      @BellaRenovare  3 года назад

    Looked high and low for a foot locker style trunk to store my daughter's dress up clothes. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxRkkpE1_3gMEZ2mPhAt6b2moNCUXyH8tG I had one growing up that I stored my Barbies in and wanted something sturdy like that for her costumes. This arrived really, really quickly and is exactly what I've been looking for. Perfect size, color (pink) and has stood up for nearly a year so far against my kids using it as a chair, stage, and barricade (😬) to keep each other out of their rooms. I'm probably going to order another one for my daughter's Barbies.

    Why weren’t the small holes & cracks filled? You could see the holes through the paint. Did you ever think of placing the furniture on a stand or table to work on the furniture and not talking from the floor?

      Because that’s not what my client wanted, and no I prefer to work on the floor. Does it really matter?

      I was wondering about the holes and cracks also...that would bother me but probably because I am super ocd about those kind of things. I am a bit envious that you can work on the floor I am too old and fluffy to work on the floor too long so I have to work on a table 😂

    If you could only get 2 or 3 colors of Dixie Bell first, which has most versatility?

      Okay well let me ask this questions first, is it for your projects or to resell? If it’s for you do you like more neutral tones?

      @@BellaRenovare yes it is a camphor chest. Just nooks and crannies are dust havens.
