My 8-year old son saw your RUclips icon & said "I love little tiny egg! They showed me how to draw noses!" I guess we both appreciate your channel here :) Wanted to let you know!
I seriously have studio envy. For the first time in my adult life I do not have a dedicated studio. Instead I have downsized my bedroom contents to allow for a corner of the room to be my creative space. I so get the constraints of working in a small space like a one bedroom apartment! Love the vintage tool box. I have an identical version that I inherited from my Dad. I think it is at least 60 years old. Mine houses small tools and always makes me feel like my Dad is still with me cheering me on to be creative. Hope your revamped studio brings you lots of inspiration!
You rocked this one, especially with the vintage blues music and your knowledge of Walter Inglis Anderson, one of my serious art influences. And your body doubling reference. I'm ADHD and can appreciate that. Anyway, the studio looks good. Thanks, as usual, for the inspiration!
The door is fabulous. Have you seen pictures of the village in Poland with all the handpainted houses? It's called Zalipie. That's what your door makes me think of. 😍
I loved this cozy organizing vlog :-) I'm so intrigued by the two square paintings now on what the gallery wall - would be cool if ended up sharing your process on those! Love the folk art door!
recently subscribed and binge-watched all your videos and I'm so glad I did! love your work and these are exactly the kind of studio vlogs I love to inspire me and keep me company while I work
I love watching your videos, your commentary and work. Total inspiration 🙌 btw. I’ve recently discovered the joy of ordering ikea things online.. they couldn’t deliver the thing I wanted, so I did click and collect. It was the smoothest least stressy ikea experience I’ve had! They even loaded it up for me on a trolley!
a train to ikea is a necessity!! amazing video as always, love the happy door & plants. & it’s always a little bittersweet taking down a gallery wall but the new paintings u put up are gorgeous!! thank you for sharing!❤
Going to ikea is a practice in reaching spiritual enlightenment so you can become one with the overstimulation and enjoy the chaos😌😂 your studio looks fantastic!!! And the cool Zelda music cover that was in the middle was super neat hahaha
as soon as I saw the pattern you were painting on the door I was like "this reminds me of Ariel's cute pink cabinet" and then you actually mentioned it, am I a psychic? maybe, anyway now i need to do that on my door as well cause that looks so good
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve watched any of your vids (basically right when you got your new studio 🫠, life amirite?!)… your editing, music selection, the cute little sounds and how much your personality shines through is at a TEN!!! Very blown away and I love seeing it, keep rocking it, gurl 👑💥
There is just something about your art and videos that brings me so much joy, trust and peace. PS: im sorry for my belated mail but it's on its way!! Much love
Love this! I'm about to move house where I'll have more work space (both paid work and non-paid) and I appreciate seeing how you set up art materials in a way that makes sense for your use (color coded drawing implements looks so wise omg). The door feels so homey too, like its own art piece!
I've been using Milanote to create a mood board for my future bedroom cause I'm moving into a bigger room this summer. It was very helpful for picking paint colors. Great vlog!
Yoooo - always delighted to see someone interested in Walter Anderson - spent my later teen years in Ocean Springs, which was his home for a long time. Occasionally bumped into his family - was in a musical with one of his kids, actually - we were the Walter Anderson Players. Really, really brilliant guy. If you go to Ocean Springs, you can see his murals in a meeting room (not sure what else to call it) off the library, or at least you used to be able to. They moved his studio to the museum, which is really weird for me - to see a building I've been in inside another building. Strange feeling. Anyway, recommend a visit there, if you ever get the chance, and whilst there visit Shearwater Pottery, which was founded by and still has involvement from the Anderson family. Long comment, sorry. Just stoked. I love your studio makeover, and very much love the door!
I've been eyeing those Brors in Ikea for my workspace too, might have to get one, maybe this was a sign 🤔 I love that that you got twins (bror means brother in Swedish) 😄 That door looks so good now!
Nice makeover, definitely a huge improvement over the Yellow Door theme. There's a certain irony in the fact that when you were feeling "blue", you painted your door "yellow". I wonder if you had painted it blue instead, if you would have still redone it. Also, I gotta say something about that chord organ @0:15. What's it doing there in what looks like a hallway? It must be ancient. Does it still work? Do you or any of your fellow tenants sometimes play on it?
The chord organ belongs to my studio neighbor- it’s definitely ancient haha! He’s a musician and collects old tape decks and music accoutrements, it works and people play it sometimes!
Very inspiring! Think you'd like to research Maud Lewis, who is very famous in Canada and particularly Nova Scotia where I live. Her tiny house is I the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. (Also where Ariel Bisset lives)
Loved watching this, definitely gave me some inspo :-) Where did you get your floor lamp + cute yellow desk lamp from? I'd love to get those for my art space!
Totally identify with the organic studio space. I'm always trying to figure out how to make my space work better for me. Also identify with the one-bedroom apartment studio mash-in! I...don't have enough space to work on my artwork. I currently have a...? Six-foot-ish drawing taped to my floor? Because I wanted to drip ink onto it. But now my kitchen is sort of . . . a mess.
loved this! definitely gonna share some of the wlw novel reccomendations with my partner. He is always reading in Spanish, which impressed me! BUT now that i am on level 3 in duolingo i realized they are all WLW romance novels in Espanol! 😂 Ill have to see if these are available in Spanish!
Hello fellow artist and spoonie 🤕 here. I would love to know if you are going to sell prints from the painitngs above your couch? Loveeeeeeeee them. Great video
