Penny was smoking in this series - last three games he was scoring 40ish ppg and this last game had 36 if i recall. I wished he was this aggressive during the regular season.
Orlando would've won this series had the STARTERS not been out injured. Horace Grant and Rony Seikaly both on the bench wearing suits. They came back and almost beat a strong Heat team except for inexperienced Orlando coach putting Armstrong on Tim Hardaway on a clutch situation at the end. That basically gave the Heat the win.
This Miami Heat team didn't deserve to be in the conference finals that year. Without the suspensions the Knicks would had kicked their ass in the second round.
I'd be upset too if I was Armstrong. After Orlando got owned in the first 2 and a half games with Shaw starting, he finally gets playing time and and was kicking ass. Penny gets all the praise for bringing them back from the dead in this series, and rightfully so, but Armstrong really was the catalyst.
Armstrong will be crying every first round playoffs. When it was not with Penny it will be with Tmac. I wonder if Armstrong ever made it to the second round?
D a m n ! Look at this Tomfoolery excuse of an O rganization. Lose an whole entire ShaQuille O ‘ Neal and what was their retort? “Hey! Y’all know Dominique Wilkins is? Go get his brother. And some bubblegum. That’s the trick to great coaching.”
Penny is just a smart player. He was pretty athletic too but actually knew how to play the game at such a young age.
This was heartbreaking knowing that it was Penny's last good season on top of the loss.
what a gem
thank you for this upload. so rare to find. everyone has games 3 and 4 but this game five highlight is very very rare. good job!
Yeah Penny's Highlights are very rare. It's always a plaisir to see him playing at his best like that.
I was blessed to have seen this on tv. I believe it was on a Sunday and Tim Hardaway1st rocked them bacon Nike's. I wanted Orlando to win
Whoever says Jordan faced weak competitions... look at all these great players, they played so hard just to be beaten by MJ...🙈
U mean by a superteam
Jordan faced weak competition

Orlando was missing two big guys..what a shame :(

He was injured too
If Shaq stayed in Orlando, they would have destroyed the Heat.
Fred Rucker FACTS!!! NO QUESTION

We could have finally seen an Alonzo vs. Shaq playoff battle.
Fred Rucker Orlando wouldn’t have been a seventh seed if they had Shaq.
It would be Citrus Series in the NBA like the Marlins vs Rays
I desperately wanted Orlando to win this series.
Penny Hardaway heroics kept them from getting swept
Me and you both!
watched the game live at that time and I was like Darrell Armstrong at 14:00...
Me too.
Maaaaan me too
Miami defense was so fucking good
That was really close even without Seikaly and Grant...
The battle of the Sunshine State.
Hard to believe they only played against each other once in the playoffs
Wu Liwei Was thinking the same thing
Ironically Penny became a Miami Heat later in his career
Battle of the hardaways

I agree .Heat was not that good and the Knicks were obviousely a better team overall.
The Magic probably would've won this series if Grant wasn't injured.
The bulls would have beat any team they faced heat Knicks any team in east
13:34 - Tim Hardaway's dagger three made a grown man cry.

@@rolaindelinois4621 Yes, and tragically the Heat ended their season too - in the NBA Finals with Dallas in 2006
@@ChargingBisonwell damn 😂
I had panic attacks during this game. That is how bad I wanted Orlando to win lmao
Here’s a fun fact for you: Orlando had both Dominique and Gerald Wilkins don their uniform.
to be COMPLETELY honest i did do and/or probably will SOMEWHAT like the heat because i did do and/or probably will really LOVE alonzo mourning
Rony Seikaly was unable to play unfortunately.
its sad to watch this playoffs because Penny was alone scorer here.
It’s what he wanted
@@TheSands83wtf are talking about?
