It's lacking that physical big man battle that was so common back then. The bigs of today are talented but they play more outside and playmake from all over the court. They are great players but its not as entertaining as watching 2 physical bigs just battle it out in the paint.

That 97 Knicks team was really good and they woulda gave the Bulls a fight in the ECF that year. I was looking forward to that series, but unfortunatelyit neva happened smh. Also, I think this was Ewing's last year as an all-star calibur center. He was moving really good that year, compared to 98-00 Ewing.

Amazing and probably never to be seen again.

New York should've won this series then face the Bulls. Not claiming the Knicks will dethrone Chicago, but the new-look Knicks had a better lineup to keep pace with Airness at al. I would say that the Western Conference had more and better rivalries during the 90s. Houston/Utah, Utah/Seattle, Houston/Seattle, Phoenix/San Antonio, Portland/San Antonio, Portland/Utah, etc.

Then 2012 under Mike Woodson lost to the Pacers in 6 games hurt the most! If the Knicks bought back Xavier McDaniel Knicks would’ve won championships in 1993,1994,1995
