    I have tees on my main line AFTER my pressure tank. Could I use the CSV inline as shown around 1:54? Also, do I need the manifold piece or can it attach to something else? What size is it? 1"? 1-1/4"? I don't have the tiny tank thing but I want to have something inline before the tank.
    I'm trying to figure out which of the valves would be best for me (need something inexpensive). I have a Goulds 1hp shallow well jet pump. Equivalent of J10 or something. Pressure switch is 30/50.
    I don't have any surface to which I could mount brackets for anything. Would I need the 1 gallon or 3 gallon version? The page is showing pressure options of 30, 40, 50, 60 etc. Is that turning on point or turning off point?
    Would it be best to put this closer to the pump (on outlet side) or closer to the tank?

    Eleven years ago back in 2010 I installed a pside-kick PK1W that uses the CSV1W valve. At one time I was told if I ever started to experience any problems I should consider replacing it with CSV1A. This video is quite old and shows a sidekick installed with a PK125 valve. I was hoping to find a video showing the installation of a pside-kick with CSV1A valve installation in a simple pressure tank system with “no booster pump, no control box, no cycle sensor, VFD. Other than your more recent “animation” videos… all your product installation videos are 3 or more years old and only show installation of the PK1A or PK125 . A newer installation video “from the company”, rather than a poorly made video from a random RUclipsr... would let potential customers know your product is still alive and well. Thanks

      I think this one maybe what you wanted. ruclips.net/video/IRrJ9AAe7GM/видео.html
      Made by the inventor, not professionally done. But I think it has what you need.

    what is the significance of the 20 second fill time? if your pump has been operating for say 20 to 30 min because of water demand, what is an additional 20 seconds doing for you?

    • @cyclestopvalves8380
      @cyclestopvalves8380  4 года назад

      If you have been running water for a minute or 30 minutes the 20 seconds of run time is not important. But when you kitchen faucet drips enough to make the pump come on, having a little run time is good thing for the pump. Since the CSV fills the tank at 1 GPM, the run time is completely adjustable, depending on what size tank you have. 20 seconds of run time also tells me the CSV is set correctly when using the 4.5 gallon tank.

    Can the tank and pressure switch be installed anywhere on the system, as long as the valve is installed before any tees coming out of the well?

      Yes. The tank and switch need to stay together but can be a long ways after the CSV.

    Hi, just curious how much power this system uses (minus the well pump)

    • @cyclestopvalves8380
      @cyclestopvalves8380  4 года назад +1

      The well pump is the only thing that uses power. The Cycle Stop Valve and pressure switch are completely mechanical and do not use any power. The pressure switch is just a switch, like a light switch. The Cycle Stop Valve is a pressure operated valve and has no electrical connection.

    Can you make a video on installing the valve in the well casing?

      Planning on making a video of the in well valve this winter. Thanks

    Where can I purchase this kit. Also how much does it cost

    I wonder if we still need a water tank to stuck water when we alr have well pressure tank

      A well pressure tanks only job is to reduce the number of pump cycles. When you have a CSV to eliminate the cycling, you don't need a very large pressure tank. But you either need a storage tank or a good well to suck water from.

      how big is storage tank it could be ?

    • @jimmyjamautrey

      I understand that reducing the number of cycles is healthy for the pump. but it seems that a smaller tank would defeat that purpose for multiple demands of water in small volumes. for example, a large pressure tank will only cycle on once the volume gets to certain level where the pressure cut in takes affect. so I could have multiple water demands with small volume demands and not have the pump cycle. where as the small tanks will cycle more for small volume demands. I see the advantage for long durations of operations but not multiple short periods....I think it would be a bigger advantage to have a large tank with the CSV.......can someone elaborate on this point, thanks

      @@jimmyjamautrey You need to watch the video on How pressure tanks work. This has been beat to death for 27 years and people keep asking the same question. The pump will cycle the same number of times with a CSV and a small tank as it would with a large tank and no CSV. Sure a CSV with a large tank would cycle even less, but it is not enough less to justify the cost of a larger pressure tank. Plus with a large tank you don't see the constant pressure very quickly, as you are always watching the pressure decrease as the large tank is draining.

    A storage tank is usually 500-1000 gallons so it can store enough for 2-3 days of house use. But a storage tank can be much smaller if it can be refilled when needed. And if the well will make enough for the house, a storage tank is not needed.

      ohh I see. our well here can be used unlimited (a lot of water ) so it mean that, I can make the water go directly to pressure tank from the pump and pressure tank will delivery water to supply house

    • @cyclestopvalves8380
      @cyclestopvalves8380  7 лет назад

      Actually the pump delivers water to supply the house. The pressure tank is only designed to reduce the times the pump cycles on and off. And when you have a CSV to eliminate the cycling, you don't need a very large pressure tank. The house water comes from the well and pump, a 4.5 gallon size pressure tank is all you need when using a CSV.

    Hi,
    I really appreciate you doing this kind of video. I have a problem with my well pump system.
    I just got a new well drilled with a submersible pump and a new 4.5 Pressure tank, pressure switch and Cycle Stop Valve installed .
    The water pressure build up to 60psi and cut off fine, but when a valve is open the pressure drains quickly down to zero and shut off the pump.
    I tried everything to no avail. Is there anything wrong with my system? Unfortunately, it is out of the country and no one has any idea of how it works.
    Would you happen to know what could be causing the pump to shutdown when a valve is opened?

      do you mean a 4.5 gallon pressure tank.....your cycle stop valve may need adjusting
