This will be a great little server to save RUclips videos on to free up pc hard drive space but at the same time get instant access to any of the files, great review and great videos as always
thanks for your effort GS, I'm looking out for one of your more in-depth videos of adding music and videos to the terra master servers, I'll be checking in as I just purchase F-2 210
Unfortunately, upon problem terramaster customer service does not provide the support. Just asking the detail problem and leave me with the failure. Very bad...
Great review thank you! You wouldn't by chance know how to add the NAS to the 'send to' options would ya??? When I first installed this unit yesterday, I got the TNAS-PC app to do it but by nightfall my PC crapped out on me causing me to have to repair/reinstall W10 so I lost all my apps (thankfully not my files). I bought this NAS unit to backup all my memories before my HD takes a permanent dump on me. Since getting it up and running, the TNAS-PC will NOT find/locate the NAS at all, so I can't redo the 'map drive'.....Any help would be appreciated from anyone who knows this stuff!! TIA!
I’ve just purchased this 2 bay home server and I was wondering if it will take just 1 hard drive and if another hard drive can be added at a later date or if 2 need to be installed at the same time? I’m wanting to give access to family to save photos/videos to through mobile app is it just a specific app they need to download or is it more complicated?
You should be able to add at a later stage in theory but personally I would not take the risk if you have family photos/videos as if something goes wrong your really screwed.
Geek Street ok thanks for the heads up, I might just add 2 drives to start with to save on the risk of loosing sentimental files, does each user need to have their own username and password or can a generic one be used for everyone on all devices, there will be 4 phones plus a pc using the NAS drive in total
It's really up to you, you could use a generic account nothing wrong in that but personally I would create separate account for each person that way in the long run if you want to lock down permissions on some shares you can easily do it.
How annoyingly slow is the 1 gb version. I had an ancient Acer Windows Home server and it was painfully slow. Since it broke, I havent replaced it and now deciding on something better and faster!

thanks for this.. honestly the terramaster's user guide is useless.. I had to watch your video to figure out what to do..
Interesting review.. How is the speed when you play a video stored on server from outside the network, say by using FTP?

Thank you very much for the video. Is the hard disk you used SATAIII?
Do you need a hdd in the nas for it to turn on?
Well done review.. thank you

Could be used after setting without being connected to a pc?
Yes can be used independently.

Thanks for the comment, yes it can take SSD drives!
if you want to add 2nd drive can you make it Raid1 without formatting the 1st drive?

How come this doesn't have Raid? Also people are saying the TerraMaster Operating System (TOS)? sucks.
