Mega props to Platypus for sending in a loss. And just looking at the replay and the value, it looks like the Dragon Princes may have lost him the game. They got resummoned two or three times, but don't seem to have paid much for themselves. I think one unit actually died on its first life and got 0 value, which had to hurt.

Big fight, HE fought it to the last second. Ate me up inside to see Teclis' charge v. Fay end up surrounded by infantry at 17:17. It's tough.
I really don't think you should be able to resummon dead legendary lords. Sure it costs a lot but I just think it takes away from defeating them in battle the first time. Maybe you can resummon a generic lord when your LL dies. Eh just a thought
Disagree, it just takes more options away from the player. I think Turin already explained the strategical decisionmaking process quite well: Do I save up for a resummon, and thereby lose out on agency on the battlefield? Or do I summon in other units, and thereby lose a leadership/mortis engine/spellcaster? I can understand your perpective but we already have ordinary units spawning in from portals in domination so I don't think that resummoning is that much of a stretch. I just imagine that the lord is wounded.

Phoenixes definitely need WS buffs (though so do a lot of other monsters). 440 really limits the ability to threaten units other than squishy casters, and even then the time to kill is so long you often don't stop them from impacting the battlefield.
Nah, it's OK I think. Why u should use dragons if phoenixes would have 500+ ws? They smaller, harder to shoot, easier to control, faster in all sights and tough as dragons if not more. So yeah, phoenixes should have worst battle stats and weapon strength, but be more faster and tactically precise
@easytanksgaming3238 Breath attacks, better combat stats, +2000ish health. Mind you it's possible to increase Phoenix WS without surpassing dragon's. Star Dragon's are at 580, Moon Dragon's are cheaper than the Arcane Phoenix with 520 WS. Adding +60 to +80 WS to the Phoenix units still leaves them solidly behind.

Why what does Peclis mean?
It is a combination of words/pun.
Teclis is a high elf legendary lord, and his mount is an arcane phoenix (I think) which is a bird and birds peck things.
When you mix the identities together, you can get 'Peclis'.

Damn those White Lions did excellent without trebuchets whittling them down, not only did they beat off any knight charges but even wounded they beat the brakes off the foot squire call in as well
The tattered squad of grail knights getting the lockdown on teclis for like 30 seconds and takes half his health away. Feels good after he's just cackling about all game.
What I found effective was Metal mage and dragon princess and white lions with spearmen.
It's a Cathayan map but those Shinto styled gateways make me think Nippon!
Excellent game! This sort of matchup does make me wonder about some of the nuance being lost by the damage value display. Is it capturing ammunition as a value? The mod description doesn't make it sound like it does, and it would probably be a nightmare to actually try and calculate. But, for example, if you bring a few thousand value worth of archers and most of their arrows either miss or are eaten by shields/armor that's a ton of value lost. Same with spells that miss or get used on low value targets.

That was a rough loss. Long since I saw a faction look so mechanically dominant AFTER having actually gotten "re-balanced" (so lets ignore all powercreep mega factions who are amazing just after they get a dlc).
I only play campaign. PvP I only watch it on this channel. But it seemed to me that High elves kept doing so many wise moves, while Bretonia simply countered it by >Graile relique makes bad infantry good boom -> back to square one for high elf reinforcements.
Rough to watch. No ill will against the bretonia player he simply plays the faction as it works. But in my eyes high elf player did amazing overall micro
Too many dragon princes. They can't trade cost-effectively into Bretonnian cav. They can work but have to be used more as linebackers.
Somebody gotta tell Turin not everything is dreaded

He derped on charging the knights where he could had waited a couple seconds and get the Fay Enchantres kill, possible winning there. But he played really well.
If CA did their job, a basic QoL would be having "home/away" team colors for the matchups so you don't have similarly colored banners during matchups. I've been asking for this since WH2... * *Crickets* *

I think Peclis is a good pick vs fast mobile caster lords like Fay, because he is both faster AND can beat them up. Although, if bretonnia had a paladin it would have been a different story.

Ogres are banned in Domination tournaments because of unbalance and bugs, which is a shame since they're my favorite faction

@@errienteunisse8038Apparently they're bugged because their ogre units cant get staggered so they uptrade into basically everything. Add to that their low price point, high speed, high mass and high burst damage..

@@errienteunisse8038 Biggest issue currently is Bulls are mega OP for the price. 44 CB is pretty nutty and causes them to roll basically any infantry that isn't twice their cost. Despite the talk of bugs those either have a very small impact or are entirely inaccurate (Ogres do stagger and can be knocked over), it's just down to their stats being extremely overtuned.
im 50/50 on being able to re-summon your lord. If CA were more hands on with patches it would be interesting to see how domination would change if they tried a few months not being able to re-summon lords.....buuuut theyre not so will never happen
The table top models of high elves are bad, other factions look so much more detailed, the elves look cartooni
