I have stayed in Germany for 1 year. Life is very difficult and depressing, specially in winters. You will be earning money but every single thing you have to do by your own.
Those who have been to Germany or Austria can understand how important work life balance, tension free weekends, clean environment, healthy food are. Yes there are some difference between lifestyle of India and Germany which we are not used to. Language issue is there, like any other country.
I'm in the same boat since a decade now. I can so well resonate with everything you have said. One should consider all pros and cons before making this leap. From my personal experience, always be flexible, don't settle for less. At the end, this country is not the end of the world! Make smart choices.
I lived in Dubai for 10 years and earned enough money for living. Despite of all these earnings I left Dubai, at the moment when I felt myself as a machine, woke up at morning, going office & coming back to home. As if I felt I am living for the job but it should be a job for a living. Literally I understood that there is no life in abroad. Now I am the happiest person living with my family, friends, relatives & my neighbours in my hometown.
I also njoy staying in india, stayed abroad for long. But people's attitude, pollution, weather is driving me crazy. People treat animals and dogs in heartless ways. Those who try doing good are not treated well. Salary wise its good here. Festivals are good.
Many friends of mine here in INDIA say SAME as you do !! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 EXPLOITATION LOW SALARY LONG HOURS NO TIME TO ENjoy. One friend DIED OF Stress heart attack at 38 in MUMBAI . 2 in BENGALURU same CORPORATE CULTURE STRESS BLOOD PRESSURE. ENJOY ??
You summarized everything that I try to tell my friends, about why I want to leave Germany. If you make a decision table on paper, You will moving to India makes a lot of sense. Pehleki baat alag this, because payment was not at all comparable, bt abhi India me 20 lakh bhi kamo to Germany se jyada achhese India me reh sakte hai,
My brother's been living in Germany since 3 years. It is true that the weather and living there is depressing but at the same time there are lot of perks like medical insurance, free education for kids and good work life balance which we lack in India. In India you are expected to justify your work and salary and still get paid in peanuts. India has the potential to be on top only if it has better laws , security and facilities for everyone. To each his own.
Life in india is a gem trust me 😅 USA was the TOP but in the recent years there is lot of issues like safety, taxation, ricing price, visa.... The only thing we lack in india is work life balance, salary scale.... Other then that its awesome 😊
@@manin4568awesome???? 😂😂😂😂 People living in India will laugh at this. Bhai hai hi kya yahan? 10 rupae ki chai aur 12 rupae ka wada pav? The standard of living just isn't comparable. The facilities, the money, the work life balance. And many more things. Bhai all this India is awesome is hogwash. The main reason is Germany isn't allowing parents to live. The moment it allows that, all these reasons will automatically disappear. 😂😂😂
@@abhikul123 i agree with the work life balance..... But somewhere in chaos u will Find inner peace in india ...may be ur an introvert.... Germany is a good place for introverts... I dont know what profession /where exactly u live in India... Im from Karnataka even if i get 60k-80k per month in business im gonna leave USA and come to my state........ I stayed in Germany for a while and shifted to Usa because of my love towards Guns.... Germany does allow parents to live but max 3 months, and usa 6 months..... Inkl India which has also visa rules.....no country would allow directly your parents without any consent (job/business/profession ).....what standards 😅bruh will get to know what standards u are taking about when people treat u like 💩 and make u feel Like u doesn't belong to the society...... Do u want to live freely or suffocated?
Germany should allow parents to live with us after citizenship . It is mandatory , if parents will not live with us what is reason for such messy life there
I agree with you. My son in law lives in Munich . His mother has to return to Pakistan after every three months. She lives alone here. Germany should think about this. Otherwise, they will lose talented and highly educated people.
The only reason I cannot live abroad is loneliness. I have travelled to US and Canada along with other countries. Western countries feel very lonely when I lived there. India is much more lively.
I was in Belgium and the weather phenomenon is such a deterrent. It makes you feel gloomy and isolated in an already 'not so community oriented' culture. The pandemic had again added to it. And since I lived in a house in the outskirts, the heating systems were not always functioning due to the householders need to save on the gas/bills. A genuine piece of advice for anyone planning to study or otherwise settle in cold countries - PLEASE EQUIP YOURSELF WITH ACTIVITIES, EVEN IF THEY'RE INDOOR EXERCISES, DANCE ETC (EVEN THAT IS A PROBLEM SINCE PEOPLE IN THESE COUNTRIES HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SLIGHTEST OF NOISE), KEEP AN ACTIVE SOCIAL CIRCLE AND HAVE COMMUNITY EVENTS HANDY AT LEAST A COUPLE OF TIMES A MONTH TO KEEP YOUR MENTAL HEALTH SANE. These societies have their perks, the work life balance may be good. But the fact is that Asian bodies sre smaller, less tolerant to the harsh winters and we're not used yo living in such isolated conditions. It could be depressing if you don't already see it coming. It looks good on the outside but the vibe is actually gloomy. Edit : She's absolutely correct about the paperwork. It's true for most European countries. They're not digitised at all and delay the work through unnecessary paperwork. The administration is very lackadaisical+ fine is something a friend of mine personally experienced with no fault of her own.
Same thing with Scandinavia as well, same story follows, hopeless and seems like living on some kind of other planet 🌍 considering this weather people and silence not feels like this is where I belong 🌐
100% for learning german. i felt same in berlin, realised that english is not the universal language as projected in our english schools in india. The world is very different as opposed to what we grow up thinking
The problem with Indians in General is they want to get out of India and enjoy the best that the West has to offer and don't want to handle the hardship or inconvenience of living there. You can not get the best of both worlds. When one goes to live in a foreign country for whatever reason be it, learn and adjust to live in the new environment or go back to your parent country. I would say that it is mainly because in India we are raised with helpers handling your daily chores and we are not accustomed to doing on your own.
I am glad you mentioned about the househelp and the cheap human labour that help Indians focus on their task. Literally, Middle Class Indians live like Kings of their own little kingdoms in India. Cheap and readily available workforce help them throughout their life. They think they are very intelligent and meritorious without realising and recognising the prerogatives they have.
@@youandmetheworld But now a days for the last many years middle class getting the heat and are not able afford because middle class income is shrinking and labour class are earning more and they have options without hesitations. I think its westernising .. the poor class is joining middle class gradually in terms of earning and end up being middle class in a generation time.
The situation for Indians, especially young Indians, is not that bleak if they work in Germany. In India an IT employee is expected to work for long hours and wfh has increased the expectations. Salaries on an average are not anywhere near 20 L per annum. And due to the huge young population, the chances of becoming obsolete by the time you are 45 are also very high. Ageing parents of single children should be the primary reason to return, but if you have a sibling in India who can care for them, then that too is not very crucial. At a young age it is not so difficult to learn and languave and assimilate in a culture. At least the young should go abroad, get experience, see the world and then can choose to either stay or come back based on individual situations.
That 20LPA notion is based on your current perception. India is growing and avg salary will hit 1 crore pa by 2050. But I don't see that growth happening in Germany. And paying 40-50% tax where you cannot benefit in your own old age. And even if you live in USA right now, it will be difficult to afford property in India after 10-20 years despite earning dollars.
I came back to Australia after living in India for 2 years around pandemic time. Indian service industry has become so good that its mindblowing. Plus if you live in metros, you get best of the world in restaurants now. So much buzz and novelty at every corner. I did not even pick up a glass of water those 2 years. Here it is back to cleaning and cooking after work. Cant even order much outside as Indian food sucks. Really missing the comforts of India. Not the traffic though
Rightly said. I stayed in Frankfurt for 2 years.....there I used to get 70k euros per year....I got 35 LPA job in India and I came back.... all reasons mentioned are 100% correct....same issues I faced when I was living there
Gotchu Bro… 35% - 40% tax … meaning left with around 45k in a year including bonus . Half of this will be spent on rent , grocery and lifestyle . Smart move for accepting 35 L in India
I like your point of view. I am living since very long in Berlin. Every country has pro and Contras. You can't compare India with Germany. It's better if you learn language. I speak German. I saw your other vlog with your neighbor uncle living alone. But nowadays you have so many old age homes all over India. Germans are very disciplined people. They respect Indians specially. Life Is very peaceful here. Free education, social security, medical insurance etc so many facilities you can get only in Germany. Some Indian friends shifted England but came back due to very expensive education etc. It's a matter of choice. Ich wünsche alles Gute für euch
@@UPAKHOSALA super high u will get peanuts 😅 there is something called as brutto/netto... Half of your salary is filtered using this technic.... Also depends on many cases i guess
true, EU,UK Canada ,Australia air USA ab rehne ke laik nahin hai !!!!tables have turned , the loot has stopped coming in, living standards are dropping fast. stay in India people, those who migrate from Punjab and Haryana, are mostly doing low paying labour jobs.
My dear lady, I have been around in Germany since over three decades and can assure you that there is no other place like it on the planet. There is a lot to learn on daily basis - at least for us, Indians. I can sum it up in this sentence - I would rather be a lamp-post in Frankfurt, Hamburg or Düsseldorf than to be the king of India.
the genetic defect of germany is the language barrier. 100% truth. that's why native English speaking countries have serious advantage over germany. Trust me all indians who are already in germany want to leave germany and they are just waiting for their chance
In Germany there is less pollution and noise pollution and fewer nosy neighbors bothering you at every turn, health insurance, and-for me-the most important benefit-I do not have to worry about my child's education fee unlike in India. Everything has its advantages and disadvantages, it all depends on your priorities. In India it is more loud and lively, you get house help, and you also have families all around. Winters can be depressing, but with all the joyful Christmas markets and decorations here it can lighten your weekends or evenings. You can visit places covered in snow, just like those pictures in Christmas postcards, and your family can visit you occasionally for a better opportunity to see Europe. You are earning visiting India once a year is not a great task. And yes the last but not the least we all have different personalities some may like the country and some will never .
German people are very different from us as they do not value money, they enjoy life with liberal leaves and easy working. People feel very secured medicals are free job gone Govt gives pension more than 50% of last salary per month etc.
Exactly 100 % agree with your viewpoint Madam🙏🙏, I am staying from 3 yrs in Germany and I am suffering from those all what u have now mentioned in this Video, I will definatly going back Home Land Nepal, if I live here long time I will be mental or Depression. I would like to Suggest so far as better don't come Germany please
You have spoken on actual realities of life in Germany . People normally only speak about showy salaries and homes . Nobody tells you about ground realities. Good video dear . Thank you for a true insight .
Thanks for this video and putting your honest opinions. No country can feel home other than home (India) for Indians. But once in life we should take the leap of faith and move to these countries it’s an interesting experience to live and work in these nations - though not for long term

Very true, i used to live in London and now in Germany again since 6 years very big difference too slow ... 1. Kindergarten rubish no workers no service 2. If you tell them about Uk or usa or Indian system they replied das ist Deutschland (this is Germany) they have Gabar mentality(shole indian movie. ) 3. If you resist or complain about bad quility in kindergarten they start threatning the child protection service ( jungertsamt) 4. If after four months we complain about bad service in kindergarten and quit with them , the did involve child protection agency 5. Child protection agency wont listen to you and treat you like criminal 6. You have to hire a solicitor to protect you from child protection agency.. 7. They would listen to Germans but not the forign parents 8. Then you should be smart to protect your self ... 9. Child protection force you to your chikd to learn only German 10. Bi lingual(english and German school) schooling is allowed in Germany but .. 11. English school in Frankfurt for example they are mostly rude on the phone ... 12. Full of discrimination .... 13. We landed in to kultur ministerium to complain about school 14. The school teacher very rude.. 15. The head ministress denied to have admission in her school and made big theater... just shameless.. 16. We contacted " Gemeinsan leben Hessen" they are the best ..

We quit Germany in 6 Months, We dint get a permanent home for rent, the struggle to find a home is real, we spent a lot on Airbnb which was hard on our savings. City registration process was hectic. We had to stand in never-ending queues in freezing temperature from morning 6am and you dont get through with no choice but to return the next day and hope for registration completion.. Not being proficient in German made communication with local authorities and navigating administrative procedures challenging. Moreover Germany seemed to be lacking behind in the digital space still dependent on postal letters for communication.. Further if you are pet owner, getting a appointment from vet will take time. Getting a car license is challenging too. Sunday is closed & you dont find any super markets or other shops open expect few kiosks, that means Saturday is grocery day. For travelers, the train connectivity is best even the roads are well connected. You can explore around easily.. 49 Euro Monthly pass is a great Deal 🙂
Since more and more people are coming here and as students integration is much better, it would be nice to know how have you been coping up with these problems. Good pay back home is primarily for certain specific sectors but not for all which is why people are coming here.

So many Indian restaurants that you do not get chance to try all. Overall freedom to do whatever you want
Let me talk about house help It's available in India because someone less privileged exists there. Here because of less work pressure, one can easily do housework. Regarding food, I am now able to eat much healthy in Germany which was impossible with work pressure in Bangalore.
I know, a lot of the challenges she mentioned are part and parcel of moving to a western country and it has always been the case, nothing new. For me personally, the work life balance is a huge a factor. I call home and all my family and friends are always at work, reach late, take only Sundays off, there is a culture of encashing earned leaves in India, because even if you have them, you really do not get to use them, apart from that from personal experience and from others of the toxic senior junior, boss subordinate work culture. I had to make up lies just to apply for 10 days of vacation, when I would have 35 unused leaves.Because of competition if you do not comply to the work culture, you will easily be replaced. I admire to see Germans manage work, buerocracy everything and yet take time out for vacations and family and relaxation. Maybe learn from them.

Hi Mam , I appreciate your opening your heart on Germany. Being an immigrant myself, these issues are common for everyone who leaves ones home country. I request you to have patience and reevaluate going back to your home country. I wish you all the best. God bless you 🙏
Most important thing she mentioned is how lucrative it is to face these issues. If you are not earning more or saving significant more than home country.

Best way is to live India, earn good money and every year go to new country and take feel of it, and after doing this for atleast worlds 20 top countries, you will realise that for long term India is the best!
After watching movie Mrs Chatterjee and Norway (based on real life of a Bengali couple) it is quite evident that in your everyday life state's intervention is not at all acceptable specially for Indians where family bonding matters most in spite of few drawbacks. Like Mexico people from Canada also are trying to go to USA illegally which clearly indicates that not everything is hunky-dory in western world.
Yes, Indians want to have street side vendors, paan-waala, dosa/vada/samosa shop, ability / freedom to throw garbage around, spit around, cut lines/queues, everything like in India. So why leave India? you have all of that in India? Or they go abroad and say, hey we have language problems, we dont get same food as in India, Germans dont speak in HIndi. Wow. So stay in India then.
Hello Shilpa-Sachin, Thanks for this video. . I am Dr. Sateesh works as a scientist in Berlin. I have been following your videos over a year. This is exactly point by point I do feel, even I was wishing one day you guys are going to bring this to us this problem with the detailed factors! Here it is!! I agree 💯% with all these points. Living here brings pure frustration with lots of struggles...
Amongst the Alps surrounded by green valleys for centuries it's has been a beautiful country. With is castles and beautiful landscape, houses and towns this country boast itself, The city like Berlin , Dresden, and Bone and many other have had living not altogether difficult,There is beauty there
There have been Indians in Berlin for 4-6 months, they came as IT specialists, but a lot was laid off in Berlin in this area, now they go out to eat for €12/h. Very important before you come to Germany you must already have a job!🇩🇪🇪🇺
Agree on most of the points as I was in Germany so agree. I. E. except the IT sector all other fields of language dominated in Germany. But india main haal Or bhi bura hai, Without switching jobs, in India company main koi hike nahi mil rahi hai..... Just coz of this in my company 80℅ people left. Further 30℅ income tax and jinaki salary 50-70 lakh hai unko wealth tax bhi dena padta hai, GST on every single purchase, property tax, maintenance of house, no benefit on saving even in mutual fund on profit tax imposed, weekend all places over crowded, you can't take simple breathe and in mumbai going to office is another hassle, bosses attitude, no fix working hours, even in month end we worked late night reached home at 1 or 2 clock and about male employees no need to say. Job bachaane ka pressure, competition ka pressure and after a certain age employees become unsecured and under immense pressure they work. So, if I could suggest jaha pe ho wahi rahe at least india toh na aaye.
Bas kar pagli rulaegi kya. Vaise meri bhi life esi hi hai jaisi apne batai. Jaldi hi india me wo culture aa jaega jab 40-45 age me mostly log retire honge.

I too have plans to go to Germany for a couple of years. Take 2 years of salary back home to buy a nice 4 BHK at Kolkata and park rest of the cash in Indian equity market
Even if u move from one state to another in India, it's difficult to adjust, takes time... Then how one can easily get adjusted in different country.. In India u are used all kinds of freedom.. U can spit anywhere, park anywhere, don't follow speed limit, garbage anywhere, drive in any lane ,easy maid service, doing politics in office and so much... But when u go to any other u get restricted to all this.. U hv to behave against what u were in India..totally changing ur habits becomes quite a difficult task.. Then u give reason of valuing family members..which u don't want while in India😅
Shilpa,do you have data to show how many people are migrating to Germany and what percentage is going back after spending how many years?I think more people are coming and a fraction of it is leaving for greener pastures.
If you can earn your living in india, it is the best country to live in. Looking back to history india was the dream destination for portuguese, french, english, turk, mughals...etc. Think about india's civilization, cultural richness, spiritual depth and diversity. To each his own.

Germany should allow parents to live with us after citizenship . It is mandatory , if parents will not live with us what is reason for such messy life there
The population is already aging in Germany, hence they are unlikely to allow it.
I agree with you. My son in law lives in Munich . His mother has to return to Pakistan after every three months. She lives alone here.
Germany should think about this. Otherwise, they will lose talented and highly educated people.
Main reason hi yahi hai parents ko bhi allow karna chahiye Jaise Canada karta hai
Bhai mere parents toh waise hi nai foriegn rehna chahte toh mere liye toh koi faida hi nahi hai allow ho na ho mai toh fr bhi jaunga
parents not allow ,but only one parent who have serious medical problem

Exactly Indians are not used to working hard in life, do their own chores, this maid culture has spoiled indians

What’s a monthly salary is considered good in Germany?
Germany is in recession & the demographics of the country is going to be bad in 10 years .

Better Job Better Life in India , Now I am in Better position to decide what's better for me after experiencing Germany
Why are you in pain . Thats not your land. You are on immigration visa term... Ask your king to take care of your life . Germans are not bound to give you a satisfied life ..
Better job, better life. Sachiii 😅😅
Just say best privilege and disparity helping u stay growth 😂😂
Long and short, DONT COME TO INDIA... reasons details later... Or read some in few comments replied i have given

Just watch its previous video in that they are pointing germany excellent work life.. and now she change her view because she has never try to learn German.
In its previous video many a times she mention that she doesn't know german language that's without giving efforts how can you get success.
This is harsh reality, life in Mumbai or Hong Kong is far better than Europe.
Mumbai lol 🤣🤣🤣
Oh really? 😅😅😅

Mumbai ki life se mt compare kro🙄
Koi sense h is bat ka
I was living in London n decided to came back to India. Trust me we are more than happy in India.
Good, more jobs for UK citizens.
I was desperately dying to settle in Switzerland...but your video change my thinking dimension. Thanks for this beautiful, knowledgeful video...
And everything is golden in India?😂
@yash1756 💩
Indians ki main problem hai ki law and order and discipline follow nahi karpate
With is castles and beautiful landscape, houses and towns this country boast itself,
The city like Berlin , Dresden, and Bone and many other have had living not altogether difficult,There is beauty there
There have been Indians in Berlin for 4-6 months, they came as IT specialists, but a lot was laid off in Berlin in this area, now they go out to eat for €12/h. Very important before you come to Germany you must already have a job!🇩🇪🇪🇺
Superb Shilpa 🎉 one of the best vlog seen on RUclips 🎉 u had described life from an Indian opinion beautifully even about wheather 🎉 Great Shilpa 👍
U elaborate things about ur nation Germany so well. Love to watch ur videos whenever they appear
Thank You So Much ☺️🙏🏻
Agree on most of the points as I was in Germany so agree. I. E. except the IT sector all other fields of language dominated in Germany.
Ya didi you're totally right
I've also decided to go to Germany for Bachelor's in CSE
Bas kar pagli rulaegi kya.
Vaise meri bhi life esi hi hai jaisi apne batai.
Jaldi hi india me wo culture aa jaega jab 40-45 age me mostly log retire honge.
Grass is always greener on other side. You be abroad or in India it's all same now. Atleast in India you will be closer to your near and dear ones.
And you forgot to mention one thing, heart attacks among young generation in India.
@@dhruv_Mishra1 so are u in germnay...or planning?
Your video was well presented and had the updates for all the important questions that most of the people will look for before migrating to Germany.
Great job and I really appreciate your quality of content 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

aap bahut achha explain krti h, ye skill Iswar sbko nhi deta, aapko dee h. aise hi video banate rahiye
We are very happy to live in India and we have no need to go outside India leaving our family and friends.
Nirmala Sitaraman is encouraging mass emigration of salaried Indians
I too have plans to go to Germany for a couple of years. Take 2 years of salary back home to buy a nice 4 BHK at Kolkata and park rest of the cash in Indian equity market
Well you won’t be saving more than 1500 euros per month. I worked there for 5 yrs. I don’t know what you can buy with this 😅
😂
Even if u move from one state to another in India, it's difficult to adjust, takes time... Then how one can easily get adjusted in different country..
In India u are used all kinds of freedom.. U can spit anywhere, park anywhere, don't follow speed limit, garbage anywhere, drive in any lane ,easy maid service, doing politics in office and so much... But when u go to any other u get restricted to all this.. U hv to behave against what u were in India..totally changing ur habits becomes quite a difficult task.. Then u give reason of valuing family members..which u don't want while in India😅
and still have poor living standards
Exactly.. She earns more than enough and now when time is come to leave Germany.. She need reason.. And she blaming now
All key points captured very well. Thanks
Rest i left to you guys to realize india's potential and possibilities with her gigantic market economy and evolving democracy! Namaskar 🙏
Yes. India is booming. It is the best place to live.
Loneliness and no social life is big problem abroad... in India, too much social life is proble. But still India is much better
Thanks Shilpa for sharing your ground zero experience !
Appreciate if you can revisit your this video with feedback on your new realisation after staying and working in India for 1yr - that may change your perception.
Good Luck !!
