His excuse to crash into the flagpole is overrated if that immigrant that’s probably illegally here or still waiting on getting his process done. Is the only one to know it then clearly Stan is not within his rights. Also, I feel like maybe Deputy Director Bullock should’ve been involved or the CIA Director, we don’t even know who that is in the show. All we know is Deputy Director Bullock is the only one.

Dimitri actually did Stan a favor by moving his wheel barrow out of the way. Stan would've been in much more pain if he landed on that, rather than the flat ground.

He has told Steve several times that some laws are dumb and bend/breaks them quite often.
He also tries to justify doing aggravated assault by explaining that we didn't know better in the 50's while conveniently leaving out the misogny and racism from that time.

In actuality, this is what happens every time it zooms in on the flag to finish the intro, just before the cops show up. Stan is just really good at making excuses and using connections to get out of trouble.
I’d low key love to watch an entire series of what conversations happen with Stan and the cop after every single flagpole crash.
Of course he use connection because he’s the CIA
In the early days of American Dad Speedruns, players would often purposely crash Stan's car into the flagpole as crashing the car was a quicker way of stopping than hitting the brakes, and the game did not have a programmed event for if Stan crashed his car while outside the CIA. On August 17, 2020 however, this exploit was patched as crashing into the flagpole now triggers a cutscene in which Stan is arrested.

This has a very rare chance of happening when playing the introduction of American Dad for the GameCube. And is actually a very real threat to speedrunners. Thankfully, not a single major runner has encountered this rare event and ruined their run.
