Shorter. My kids are mostly grown and I don't need the huge van. But I've always dreamed of reliving my San Diego childhood in my blue Volkswagen bus! I just don't need one that big 😢

As an Uber driver, I see a perfect compromise, as per your video: Left rear seat removed. Then there's room for an extra passenger AND plenty of room for an airport run with suitcases. (Now if I can only figure out how to afford one as an Uber driver...)

Personally I’d prefer the short wheel base version. Too bad VW isnt bringing that over to the US.

I'm 60+ years of age, I drove a bus in my 20s.This thing will sell no matter what!!! I'm ready to order today, yesterday and tomorrow...I just hope VW doesn't punish me for being a 60 plus year old disabled Veteran Who wants his dreams to come true and is willing to pay. This will be My last vehicle

If you are trying to get from San Francisco to LA, that's 2.5 charges.... where are you supposed to stop at and wait for an hour+ each time for it to charge fully?

Are they coming back out with a microbus pickup truck as the crew cab they had one in 1961 what's called the double door it was a based on the microbus they had a regular cab also I was called a standard cab

no one ever cared about the 25 hp of it's predecessor ( until they were stuck behind it). 285 hp is just fine.

I don’t understand VW’s US strategy. They don’t seem interested in selling their smaller electric vehicles. Not everyone wants a big car.

Yes, as mentioned in the video. Two-motor, AWD with 330 hp. No torque figure yet, sadly.
The VW bug retro ICE model was not a success. I have similar reservations as to the BUZZ. I hope it sells.
New Beetle since 1998 sold about 1.79 million cars.
That’s the one thing that drives me away from VW this is for Europe that for North America and you know what’s in Europe we want here in America they want there why we can’t jut make it standard across the board. I like the smaller one
The host has a very nice speaking voice, most likely has had training in that area . her pretty looks don't hurt either,she could easily be on news channel with her poise, and that professional clear voice. good review.

There haven’t been any major problems in the version that’s been on sale for months now overseas (as far as we’re aware) so it’s unlikely this will be any different

It looks good with the third row removed. I'd personally rather have more spacious front and second row seating with additional cargo room. Not another crammed seating arrangement while attempting to squeeze in a third row. It will be a shame if it ships with limited front leg room because of the above design decisions. But, that's just my garbage opinion. Anyway, it's different and has some interesting features. Hopefully it isn't 70k because it's electric. But it likely will be.
Looks like you missed the bit about more than enough legroom for people in excess of 6’2 even. The third row is on rails as well and can make 8” additional room without pulling out.
And yes, you can just take the third row out and have your hot tub there.
The seating isn’t crammed at all in any row; it’s quite spacious!

55 grand at 5-9% apr means this van will unfortunately be a dud.
The interior looks cheap and clunky for something in 2024. You'd want this for family trips but not much range and terrible cargo with all rows in. You're going to have to ship your Xmas gifts. But it might look dope in black.

It’s also a significantly smaller vehicle and isn’t meant to compete with full-size body-on-frame SUVs.

The Buzz will be niche low volume for quirky soccer moms, who happen to not like mercedes and volvo, both of which have 7 seaters in the works. Too expensive for the throwback hippies, moving far away from its ancestors.

Cool car, kind of pricey. But the host... 🤦I'm sorry, but I felt like I was watching Nickelodeon. You can tell she's trying, and kudos for that, but maybe tone it down a bit. Keep it a bit more professional. Most of your audience are adults, not teenagers, I assume. Could be the director's shortcoming.
Young adults buy cars as well. So why not make it a bit more pleasing for them as well. She is doing an amazing job

Edmunds just hire anyone these days who can read a press release..
I think this presenter would land up with a ship if all her feedback were implemented. What she calls flaws are unnecessary criticisms of great features. Like, who couldn’t hold a cup in their hands to be able to use the lower storage space in the center console bin? If you did in the unlikely event need to use both simultaneously.
And, do you really expect a football field despite having 7 seats up?
She’d make a very irritating client.
