The engine mods Gabriel did to his bus are definitely not why it’s so valuable. It’s valuable because of the number of windows it came with.

@@ceegee2676 if anything the modifications made it less valuable. Not more. It is very hard to find the ones with that many windows. They didn’t make many of them. It’s even harder to find them in original condition. The modifications make it more drivable but probably hurt it’s value.

You can go a step further and tell people to stop spending on entertainment altogether and donate that money to charities of their choice so that celebrities won't get paid in the first place and there's not even a need for middlemen like Keanu. I mean, if Jay Leno shouldn't enjoy, why should anyone else? Right? Also, you should get off social media and get another job so you can donate that money to charity.

Well yeah switch on Travel Assist and the car will stay in its Lane and brake, accelerate and steer, it does a good job of pretending that it can drive by itself.
You can pull out the center console, so Gabriel probably just sat in the back for a minute while Jay moved into the driver's seat. ;)
That goes to prove to you how much room there is any Volkswagen van

The baby blue one in the line near the beginning brought a tear to my eye ... I had a May 1960 camper in that color. 34hp engine until I changed it. I drove it to FL when I was 15 (I don't think they can arrest me for that now). Westphalia factory built all wood interior, 23 gal. water tank and a gas turbine heater in the engine compartment that ran directly off the gas tank. It kept us warm in the winter in Vermont on ski trips. I understand the Buzz has been available as a camper for a few years in Europe, so I have high hopes for it in the U.S. It doesn't have enough range though.

My dad did flip his 1974 VW Blue White Bus completely oh it's top spinning at the end of our block. He wasn't going any faster than 15-20 miles per hour.
He had to slam on the brakes to prevent hitting another car that ran the stop sign. I loved that car and can still remember the evening we went to look at it and drove it home, decades ago.

Exactly, I knew something was hosed but I couldn’t put my finger on it! It’s the headlights are all wrong! Round is the way to go.

201 horse power is weak
That's plenty of horsepower for everyday driving in Southern California or anywhere for that matter.. Not sure what the fascination is with having more horsepower than you could ever really use.

I wish they'd kept as close as possible to the old look of this van/bus. The hubcaps, the Skooby Doo vibe. That's my favorite part of this vehicle. Maybe in a couple of iterations they'll come back to that look WITH all of the modern features of this version.
Fluffy needs to be a recurring guest to review some of Jays collection. These two have a natural chemistry.

Just sold my '74 after 12 years of burning oil, leaking oil, backing up traffic and other fun times. Will miss it for sure!
The 224 mile range is too low, especially if you want to take it on road trips. Hopefully they'll ship it with a larger battery for the US version
Lovely to see Leno! In some countries, all vans are called “microbus” like a category. For an example, Toyota Sienna microbus! It is that iconic.
It is worth noting that the original VW bus 55 mph limit was due not just to that anemic VW flat four, but the 2 to 1 final ratio gearing it had in each rear wheel to raise the VW's rear clearance and to have enough torque for the size of the loads it could carry while using the standard VW transaxle and swing arms. That roll-over propensity came from those swing arms in the rear being so high off the ground when tucking under.
