So this fix won’t work on a B8 CAEB TFSI manifold correct?
Just bought this bracket and am fitting it later. Do I have to disconnect and then reconnect the battery to reset the system? Saw this somewhere. Will do it anyway.
never disconnected the battery for this. I also had the diagnostic tool so I could clear the dtc after the install if it did not clear by itself. You should be ok by only installing it. start stop the engine a few times and i would expect it to clear. make sure you clip the back part of the bracket onto the actuator. If possible take the actuator out so that you can see how it clips.

:) uite ca mi-ai amintit de tremuratul fostei mele masini ... am observat ca mai toate tremura ... si la a mea am schimbar destul de multe ... mai mai ca era sa mai schimb volanta odata ... in cele din urma noul proprietar gasise ceva la rampa de motorina ... un senzor sau o valva care facea un tremurat ciudat. ca sa raspund la intrebarea ta ... masina mea nu tremura de la p2015 dar daca ai swirl flapsurile gripate poate sa tremure de la asta ...

hi i tried do the same, but it doesnt works for me, the flap motor is moveing but only when i help to move it's going smooth, but when i stop the engine and start again it stuck again.. any ideas?
open the actuator see what is happening inside.
Will this fix work on the tfsi b8 or only TDI? My mechanic said there’s there no room for the bracket on the tfsi model

Salut bogdan ! Te urmaresc cu placere explici super! Eu am schimbat flap motor sensor si apare din nou eroarea. Crezi daca as curata galeria ar ajuta ?mersi
Scoate complet actuatorul ala si vezi ca piesa aia metalica sa fie clipsata in spate .. ai sa vezi ca are un canal ce trebuie sa intre intr-o degajare. Dupa ce pui piesa aia metalica 99% din cazuri ai trebui sa scapi de codul de eroare. Asta daca piesa are dimensiunile corecte si nu e o copie facuta de chinez :)
Multumesc de raspuns am si facut asa. Dar tot apare eroarea . Ce este interessnt este ca am fost la mecanic si mia activat gen sensorul dupa ce am pus suportul de aluminium. Apoi imi apare aceasi eroare p2015 de doua ori... ai avea vreo idee? Sa fie codarea?multumesc
Hi, did you resolve the problem with that metal piece permanently, no more MIL light after that?
yes no more DTC P2015. As an update: make sure that the metal bracket is set properly. some times, if you do the install like i did, you might not set the back part of it flush.
What was the ticking/rattling sound? I’ve got sane noise can’t find it

I would be tempted to say that it is not the same. Check connections. If connection is ok I wold think that the control circuit inside of the flap actuator has failed.
I got a p2015 code a few days ago on my 2014 Audi A4 Quattro so I took it to a shop called OC Tuning and they told me it would cost me $2,100 to fix… Cannot pay that all at once rn smh they told me I had some leaks and had to replace the pcv too
Does this code cause leaks? And if so do you have to tend to those leaks or can you just add this piece and it should be fine?

The shop I had gone to wanted to replace my entire intake manifold but I don’t know if I need to replace the whole thing or if getting that bracket would be good enough do you know where I can find one?
Also I just got a new code p2279 (leak in air intake system) any idea on how I can fix that? The shop had told me that the pcv I had has a leak and is an older model one… this I think I actually do need to replace

@@whispersiwhisper7441 ideally you should change PCV, see if P2279 is still present ... install metal bracket ... if problems are still present you identify leak, possible intake clean... worst case change manifold. also visually inspect ... if you see massive loss of oil try to see maybe a new gasket can solve issue ... or is it visible that manifold is damaged .... it is hard to diagnose only based on someone description

take it off and make sure that the back clips correctly.
I have audi b8 tdi 2.0 I had the same problem so I changed the flap actuator I did the reset with vcds after a few minutes the light on the panel again helped me please

Salutare ; am aceeasi problema , imi da eroarea P201500 , si imi arata ca e senzorul stricat , ce zici sa incerc sa schimb senzorul sau sa fac acelasi lucru ca si tine ? Masina nu are nici o problema doar ca sta aprins martorul check engine in bord
pune braketul si e rezolvata treaba.
Salutare am si eu eroarea asta cu toate ca mecanismul a fost schimbat nou mi-a dat check engine iar după eroarea de la flapsuri si P0014

Would it fix the problem, if you replace the 03L129086
INTAKE MANIFOLD SWIRL FLAP MOTOR ?
there are 2 scenarios: 1.only the actuator/motor is having issues, and in this case yes it will. 2 if your intake has excessive carbon buildup on the flaps, an new actuator will also have the same problem sooner or later. Also thinking of the cost of the part I would say first use that bracket. Make sure that you install it properly as it has to clip on the back of the actuator. Do a calibration reset with VCDS, clear fault codes and you should have resolved your dtc at a fraction of the cost. Let me know how it goes.

da . scoate complet piesa si ai sa poti vedea mai bine ceea ce faci. are un canal intr-o laterala care trebuie sa se aseze pe un ghidaj. e foarte greu de nimerit fara sa scoti piesa. si cat faci probe poti sa scoti arcul ala . dupa ce esti convins ca totul merge (si daca vrei pui arcul la loc.)

Hi. Iam desperatly searching for a help. I have same car like your Audi a4 b8 2.0tdi CAGA. My problem is when i swithing off engine the whole car is shaking so bad. Even car have new engine mounts or flywheel kit, ect. I checked car with obd , no faults no eeros. Some guy said can be intale monifold flaps or motor. Nobody cant help me. Any addvice will be much appreciate. Thanks.

Yes, when I press the clutch the vibration are less. Egr and throttle body are clean. Only when I unplug throttle body electric connection there was some oil coming out from the throttle body pins. And I asked some mechanic what wrong with my car he said can be intake manifold flaps or motor. Nobody really knows. Thanks
@@allofmeirl That oil coming out of the Throttle Body is something normal. If you pay close attention it has a drip channel in it and you will see it drip oil outside. If you have it inside, gently clean it (don't forget the placement of the pins for the electric motor that controls the throttle ). Mine was dripping some oily/black stuff and if i remember correctly it got onto the engine sump. I was thinking that i will need to change the sump gasket but it was from the throttle body. This being said, you could try to clean the intake and the flaps (it will help your engine run better/breathe better). The only reason for me not doing it was that you will need to remove the fuel pipes/common rail and that is a pain in the ass to put back correctly. On my New old car (2010 530d BMW) I had a shaking immediately after starting and it was giving me a Swirl Flap calibration DTC. So i took the intake out, cleaned the intake plumen and removed the Swirl Flaps. Also take a look at WALNUT Blasting and ultrasonic cleaning for parts. And one last thing . Don't forget to prime the fuel system with a diagnostic tool. One of the known issues with the High Pressure pumps is that if they run dry they could lead to the damage of the injectors (metal filings get in the places where they should not be) .... so get a specialist or do the research and clean the intake and the flaps ... make some photos of what you find inside ... I would like to see how dirty they are ...
@@BestCarMods Thanks for laods of tips and information. Usually the problems with my car I try fix my self doing research and what not. The plan is, one of my mates recommend great mechanic and in the next couple days I will go down and see what wrong with my car. On the phone he said the problem can be swirl flaps and motor. He can diagnose car in a half-hour. My guess is throttle body or this swirl flaps. Will let u know anyway. Thanks again.
@@BestCarMods Hi, just wanted let you know. I went to mechanic and I explained symptoms and he told me straight away using vcds it was throttle body / it's not working. He put some random throttle body on to show me and yeah no engine shacking no nothing. I ordered brand new brand Febi throttle body for 120 euro. Will put on soon as it will comes. Thanks again.

@@BestCarMods sorry, it’s a petrol Audi A3, throwing up the exact same error code.
@@SoundscapeSphere if P2015 is present on a petrol car, it might have to do with a more complicated manifold failure . I haven't seen a "easy fix/ bracket" to solve this issue. Yes the brackets available are for Diesel engines. For a petrol engine You will need to find what other people are doing for your specific engine / engine code.

@@SoundscapeSphere first find out your engine code, should be on the production sticker, based on that and the engine size search example: 2.0tfsi , it will help you filter our some on the un necessary info.

take out that actuator and fit the metal bracket. sometimes because of the shape of the part it is very hard to install it properly with the actuator on the car. you will see that the lower part of the metal bracket should lock onto the actuator body. Let me know if you succeed.
Thanks for the answer ! Unfortunately, I removed the actuator to install it properly but I still have the same problem. I will try to do it again a last time on Saturday. Anyway, thanks for your help.
@Julius Bieliauskas Yes. The metal bracket was too thin so I have welded a screw on it to be able to find the correct tuning. Now it's working well.
I have a big black plastic cover in front on this thing. Can't even get to this.
hard to give advice over the internet :) maybe you can remove it ... maybe it is just a cover
Does the a4 TFSI engine have the same manifold actuator ?

@@BestCarMods I’m getting a p2015 code too but the TFSI engine looks a little different and can’t figure out where the issue could be coming from.

Hi I attached the bracket without the spring as I lost the spring but the EML still shows on the dash.
Is the spring necessary? Also how did you clean the motor what did u use?
1. spring is not needed.
2. take out the actuator and do a check for the bracket to sit properly ... you will find that on the back side, it has an channel that should slide inside of the bracket. that is really hard to get to if you don't remove it. let me know if you sort it out.
