  • Here I got to test drive a pre-owned Silverado 1500 Extended Cab Pickup. This truck was in surprising good shape for the model year and miles. Had 162k miles clocked and it seemed like it still had that left to go. Do you think this truck is slept on by the average pickup buyer? Please feel free to let me know in the comments!

This generation of Silverados constantly get overlooked by the average pickup fans nowadays. Everyone pickup owner these days seems to not be someone who wants to have an actual truck that they haul with, instead they want one that they can tear up and make stupid modifications to, which only make the gas mileage worse and cause damage. This generation of Silverados are probably one of the best ever, and It's a shame that nobody gives it the time of day. One of these is likely going to be my first truck pretty soon here.

Just bought a 2011 CC 1500 rwd 107k miles. I could not believe how clean this truck was. Almost looks like it’s never been driven. But Car Fax shows it was serviced regularly and no accidents. Everything works too! Also had new 20”Toyo AT’s new backflip bed cover. Linex coated and never used bed. I couldn’t F’n believe it. $17,400!! I know but it’s perfect.

I have the same truck 2011 Chevy Silverado 120,000 miles 5.3 liter V8 6 speed automatic 4X4 work edition with towing mirrors. I paid $15,000 for it. I’ve had it for 2 years now and zero problems. I did have to change the battery and the brakes and of course an oil change here and there but that’s just maintenance stuff.

I work at a large GM and Chevy chain in Canada. We just bid 20k CAN on trade on this exact truck today and the customer didn't take it.
It was a 5.3 4x4 LT with 92,000 km. Very clean.
Nobody got a bad deal. The prices are really just going up because of demand and rarity.
