These trucks are not only scandalously priced but have become luxurious vehicles that most likely won't be used for it's intended purpose. So many of these trucks driving around with few passengers, cargo or towing anything. Thus becoming more status symbols then utilitarian vehicles. At $60-$80k you gotta be wealthy to afford these trucks or have your priorities mixed up. Like the truck and review non the less ✌🏽❤️

This is nicer and can do a lot more! 80+k is when things start to get a little stupid…like I’m not paying that for a truck lol. 66k is still high and pushing it, but it’s not out of the realm of thought for me and many others.

Had it about 6 months now almost 30k miles. Only issues are a bad parking sensor module and the infotaintment is glitchy sometimes, but not bad enough to be much an issue. Great truck overall, and i have the multiflex tailgate which has become one of my favorite things.

The 6.2 L is the way to go with this truck, more than enough power to slam you into your seat if (when) you punch the gas. Love the auto drive, it is amazing. When from Philly to NYC in heavy traffic over the weekend, no issues with it at all. Quiet possibily the best truck I've owned in years. Beat part, my wife loves druving it too!

But I have to say that until 99 percent of the cars on the road have a self driving ability I personally don't need/want it. Honestly to me it's more of a useless novelty at the moment. I personally would love to see a grid type of system for interstate driving eventually. With cars automatically spaced a good distance, you could easily go 90 mph or higher. Of course you'd have to address semis and their speed governors.

I had a 2019 HC with the 6.2L which I can say is nice but is a fuel hog. I do have adaptive CC which is nice. I’m a little leary of the super cruise. Btw, You can change the gauge cluster look in the center menu. Also, if you don’t subscribe to a Onstar data plan, you cannot use the built in Google maps. I use my Google maps thru my iPhone. I also added a Pedal Commander, which wakes up the 5.3 and makes it feel as quick as the 6.2. Otherwise, nice truck.
On a side note, there are NO 12V outlets anywhere in or on the truck, just USB ports. I wish GM would bring them back. Otherwise, if you want a 12V outlet, you can get a USB to 12V adapter.

just one thing i noticed though … the super cruise automatically turning off when i’m not looking forward seems dangerous if it doesn’t alert me beforehand. did it alert you that it was turning off or did it just shut off automatically without warning? i feel like there’s no point in an “autopilot” if you can’t look away or do other tasks.

FWIW, GM is only removing Carplay in its future EVs. Combustion vehicles will continue to have it. I do hope they revert on the EV decision though

Just bought one.Thoes of you worried about the eng. For extra thousand got 7 yr bumper to bumper, and the dealer owner has lifetime engine warrantees. Also got 5 thousand off sticker 1.9 for 3 yrs. 16,000 for my almost mint 13 avalanche. No way could I not do this. I'm far from rich. Also Struggling to justify a price like this for yrs. All I menchen is great. But when I saw Glacier blue metallic dual mode exhaust.
meg ride and super cruise, my heart skipped a beat. After all these yrs in love again. 😂

This is so good! I might just wait until 2025 to buy the new HD ZR2. Maybe GM will add this feature next year to the other models. IMO, this is 100% worth the money.

What are those flashing LEDs on the steering wheel? I am assuming it is infrared and you don't see it in person but the camera can pick it up. That does not seem like a good idea for the retinas in our eyes because our retinas can still get damaged by infrared.

Love the interior for the most part, screens are a love/hate thing for me. Absolutely hate the shifter but besides that its a sharp truck. Also hate the afm/dfm or whatever their calling it for the gen, in the middle of a dod delete on my 2017 right now.

Cool truck, and review! What worries me is the aging problem with super cruise, like when the system is 10-15 years old would be a. Nightmare to fix when it goes wrong. Also all these digital displays won’t last and what happens in 10-15 years as the 2nd or 3rd owner will these things run at that time?

I like the "simplicity" of the interior, lots of physical controls and not bombarded by screens, but still with all the modern stuff n things that wed expect and the supercruise is super cool, and a great exterior design as well. Also with the 6.2 for 2024 im liking this. Flooring it on the highway made me smile lmao. They did really good with it
