Let's make our OWN CREAMER! I'm talking tasty creamers to add to your morning coffee that have amazing health and PERFORMANCE benefits!! Let's dive in and I'll see you in the COMMENTS!!
1) Coconut Cream + Cacao
Coconut Cream
Coconut cream is basically the same thing as coconut milk, except the coconut meat-to-water ratio is about four-to-one
The exact antimicrobial compounds that coconut oil contains in coconut cream, too - contains lauric acid, which converts to monolaurin in the body
Additionally, lauric acid activates PPARα and PPARγ and increases fat metabolism.
Lauric acid itself is metabolized faster than other saturated fats and is burned as fuel more quickly than palmitic, stearic, oleic, elaidic, linoleic, or linolenic fatty acids. American Journal of Clinical Nutrition 2000 www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1...
Lauric acid and monolaurin (lauric acid attached to glycerol backbone) have potent antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial properties, including against H. pylori, Candida, Clostridium, and E. Coli.
Microbes aren’t able to evolve resistance to lauric acid and monolaurin because they work through three mechanisms: (i) destruction of gram-positive bacterial cell membranes and lipid-coated viruses, (ii) interference with microbial signal transduction and transcription, and (iii) stabilization of human cell membranes.
Lauric acid/monolaurin is the strongest antimicrobial in human breastmilk. Furthermore, lauric acid levels are lower in sick mothers and infants. Nutrients 2017 www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...
Cacao
Minerals: Rich in copper, iron, manganese, and magnesium - antioxidants: Rich in catechins, flavanols, and polyphenols that protect against oxidative stress and inflammation.
Improved blood pressure and flow
Myostatin restricts muscle growth to prevent hypertrophy - Epicatechin decreases the myostatin production in the body and it increases the production of another protein called follistatin
This protein promotes muscle growth and helps minimize the effect of myostatin in the body
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...
2) Ghee + Vanilla Bean
Unlike butter, ghee and other types of clarified butter contain virtually no lactose and are very low in casein - also contains butyric acid
3) Laird Superfood Creamer + Turmeric
Laird Superfood Creamer
Coconut Milk Powder
Organic Coconut Sugar
Aquamin (calcium from marine algae)
Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Shelf stable
No artificial flavors, colors, or additives
No highly-refined sugar
4) Hemp Milk + Cinnamon + Cayenne + Stevia
Cinnamon
Cinnamon has the ability to imitate the activity of insulin in the body
Cayenne
Increases thermogenesis + it’s been shown to inactivate NF-kB
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1...
Stevia
Stevia increases insulin secretion by stimulating pancreatic cells and improves insulin sensitivity
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1...
Steviosides are used by lactobacilli and bifidobacteria as a nutrient source
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24...
5) Coconut Cream + Ginger + Mint
Ginger
Blood glucose control: Gingerols, particularly (S)-[6]- and (S)-[8]- gingerol, promoted glucose uptake significantly in (cultured rat) skeletal muscle cells
Mint (peppermint has some cool benefits)
Peppermint helps with digestive issues is because it activates an anti-pain channel in the colon: www.sciencedirect.com/science...

I’m that crazy guy who would add all of them into one coffee to reap all benefits 🤣🤣
Crazy girl would do it too.. :-)
Me too!
Drinking it now! ROTFL!
Was thinking the same thing 💯🤣👌
That would become my ”panacea creamer". I have a panacea powder for salad dressing, soups, and wherever else I decide to put it. 😊
just want to thank you for such great information. I have lost 57 pounds since I have started watching your channels. I feel better than i have in 30 years!
Love Thomas’ Tshirt! Operation Underground Railroad does amazing work to help women & kids ( both boys & girls ) against human trafficking! 😘🙏💖🥰🇺🇸
How about my mix?
tbsp butter
tbsp coconut cream
1/4tsp redmonds
two "squirts" stevia
2 "dashes" each of cinnamon, turmeric and cacao
16oz fresh pressed coffee (I prefer medium roast for the caffeine)
put it all in the blender (I have a cup that just goes right on the blender)
I think this is AMAZING and it keeps me going for hours if eating is just not convenient. I'll do 48-72 hr fasts using this as my fast breaker.
Anyway, another interesting and informative video. Thanks Thomas.
yummy!
My creamer of choice...Nut pods. Almond, coconut milk and vanilla. No sugar, no carbs and tastes good...
Here's some added information for this video. Coconut milk and coconut cream has a very short shelf life once you open the can and it starts to go sour fairly quickly but the cool thing is as it gets sour it turns into basically coconut yogurt which taste pretty good and actually is becoming very popular in supermarkets. So after a few days if you keep it in the fridge it's going to get sour but it is still edible. I have tested it out.
Since the process of getting sour is caused by various potentially gut friendly bacteria I would assume that the health benefits of coconut milk probably increase as it turns into coconut yogurt.
I’ve kept coconut milk and cream in the fridge for 2+ weeks with no problem
@@mikeganer6257 yes that is most likely coconut milk with some kind of preservative in it. The majority of Brands add things like sorbate or guar gum Etc but if it's just made of coconuts and water they tend to turn very quickly
Have you tried putting the yogurt in your coffee?
That’s why it’s unpopular in my kitchen. 🤣😂🤣
After a few days in my fridge, I pour the remaining coconut cream/milk into an ice cube tray and freeze it. To use, I simply melt it over low/med heat and use the preferred amount in my coffee.
I’m so glad you made this video! I am trying to help my mom get off the toxic “flavored creamer” (which actually is all bad oils and has very little cream in it) and said I’d do a deep dive on healthy hacks for her creamer. Yay!! Thanks mucho!
Breakfast fun for my forever bride and me as we get our day started. Knowledge is power.
I love this video, Thomas! Thank you!
I watch your videos all the time. I love them. I would have never known to make something like this for my morning coffee
Thrive market has an awesome Vanilla Bean Ghee that I put in my coffee. I’m also a huge fan of the unsweetened Laird creamer and have been using it for years. Just make sure you have a frother because it doesn’t break down really easily.
What’s the brand of the vanilla ghee?
I used your tips to create a “Mexican Chocolate” creamer...cacao, cinnamon, and cayenne, together with or without ghee, or coconut cream. It’s delicious. You don’t even need to add it to coffee, if added to coconut milk, either hot or cold, makes a delicious chocolate milk. Can’t wait to try the vanilla ghee and chocolate mint options. Costco also sells the big bag of Lairds basic creamer too... Thanks for the tips!
Thanks Thomas! Love these videos!!
Thanks for doing this video. I have been looking for different options for my coffee in the morning.
This is really cool Thomas, thanks! Huge Karma Kafe Keto Creamer fans here yet always love learning ideas to make our own keto creations. Cheers ☕️
I can’t wait to try all of these! Thanks Thomas. 🤗
Thank you for this! I am a big coffee drinker and gave up traditional creamers a long time ago. This will be great to try these ideas. Thanks for always putting out great content to help us all live healthier lives.
I heard drinking too much coffee affects the height , makes us smarter but also shorter. It depletes calcium.
@@Note-dy6yd prob depends how much coffee. I have a half cup to cup in the am, but not every day.
Thanks Thomas I needed this - trying to get away from heavy cream...really helpful I love turmeric!!!
Great ideas! 😊 Thank you
Thank you for all that you do. That T shirt 👍🏿
Coffee creamer info ~ wooooo hoooooo thank you💜
Great video... I’ve been searching for this... thank you for breaking this down Thomas... I just tried Laird it took a minute to get used to, then I loved it... The quality is perfect!
I just bought some heavy whipping cream for creamer and now I’m intrigued with this video....
I just put in my first Laird order! Thanks so much for the tips! I was making my own almond creamer every week thinking that I was doing the right thing.
Yes im trying to cut dairy from my keto lifestyle! I like that you have info on foods we can still eat without all the dairy
me too! I am going to try the coconut milk, tho I am actually doing carnivore [ lite ] not strict. I will do a small salad at times. I miss my CREAM! I can tech have it on carnivore, but, as a woman, trying to shed pounds, cream & cheese slow it way down.
Yet again another fantastic video of information. Thanks Thomas and team😊🇨🇦
Thanks man I've been needing tips on alternatives to making coffee!
Thanks I am going to try a few of these😊
Wow, Thomas! This video is GOLD!
Trying all of these recipes! Trying to get the most out of my cup without having the same boring thing! Made your chocolate cacao recipe it’s great!
Love your videos. Thank you! 👍😊
Great idea , thank you
Fantastic info, I'll be trying the ghee/vanilla & coconut/cacao.
(The music interrupting halfway was odd & distracting).
I love this video. Do you have any information for people post cholecystectomy since it plays such a large role in digestion???
I'm hooked on C8 MCT oil, sea salt and stevia in my coffee whipped up in the vitamix.
I do not drink coffee; I'm not really an adult.
There are many wonderful teas to try and I'm sure you can add in any of the creamers described here or just MCT oil with a pinch of Himalayan salt.
great video this morning i made a cinnamon ghee green tea with turmeric!
Nice! Thank you! 🙏💓
YES, even more alternatives to my favourite drink! Awesome!
So helpful!!! Thank uuuuu!
Thank you for your smart ideas. I add raw yoke to my coffee and it tastes wonderful/ not always/ but when there is no cream in the fridge.
Thank you so much for this informative video. You explained so well and I am no longer confused. Thanks for making it so easy to understand.
Lairds is fantastic! I’ve used the turmeric one often 😋
Great video, thank you, Thomas! :)
Can you please do a video of what hair products, soap, lotions etc etc are healthy & which ones to avoid please?
Coconut cream and Perfect Keto chocolate collagen! Yummy 😋
I do this too! Whip it up in the blender with your coffee and it's awesome :3
Can someone clarify for me if butter contains short chain fats, or if SCFAs are in ghee as a result of the clarification process?
Are any of these coffee recipes good to have during a fasting period?
I wil try them all! Thanks
How about cocoa butter? I am using it now and I love its taste.
I am not quite trusting processed powders.
So how does this eventually taste? Is it sweet to not really? I have a sweet tooth that’s why I use creamer. Please let me know which is the sweetest Laird creamer
I love using cinnamon and ginger, would adding cayenne flash if I did all 3 together?
I absolutely LOVE ghee in my coffee!
do you keep your ghee in the refridgerator? Mine is always liquid.
❤️ your videos. So much information. Thnk you
Hi! Newbie here...which is better and why...a2 milk or pasture raised grass fed milk?
Is it ok to use the microwave to melt the ghee? Or stovetop better?
I made a homemade white chocolate peppermint creamer with half & half white chocolate chips, salt, vanilla, peppermint extract.
I love coconut milk in coffee!
I'm addicted to the Laird creamers. They are really amazing. My wife and I have a desert coffee at night. Chocolate or Mint chocolate Lairds with a quarter tsp of lakota gold, a tsp of oatmilk, and a hit of cinnamon. It whips up into such a fantastic creamy Hot Chocolate/Coffee drink. Sooo damn good.
On the video the bag didn't show any added sugars but when I looked up the original laird the ingredient list showed
Coconut sugar in the list... is keto friendly?
@@cactusladysouth1000 yes, I went to order it, it had about 14 carbs per serving
Hello Thomas!
I recently found out about Zerona 6 laser treatments and wanted to see what you think about it.
The Zerona Z6 laser uses low-level laser stimulation to disrupt the membrane of fat cells. This disruption induces the formation of a transitory pore that causes the fatty material of the cell to seep out and move into the interstitial space regulated by the lymphatic system.
Since we are on keto and are fat adapted we burn fat, do you think this procedure could benefit us who is on keto? Since we can easily burn fat that was released from fat cells after this procedure ?
love your videos, very informational. i need HELP, my ketones rarely go over .5, they fluctuate between .2 and .5, how do i make it go higher????? please help, I have an inflammatory autoimmune condition and need to achieve the anti-inflammatory benefits of keto, HELP
Nice info! Thank you Thomas.
I do typically go for black coffee. Though occasionally on a lazy weekend I like to cream and sweeten things up. Good before long runs. It would be interesting to hear more on the quality of the coffee itself. Origins, roasting, grinding of the beans...the various types of brewing techniques...it's a whole world and I am positive there's health implications on the various levels. When you think about the fact it's something so many people imbibe every.single.day. it's got to be something putting some focus/emphasis on is worthwhile to do, right?
And go!...(haha).
What I've learned is that coffee beans go rancid after about 5 days so fresh roasting a quantity you use in that time is best. Coffee roasters vary in price and it's not a difficult skill to learn with a bit of practice. The green beans keep for a long time so you can order in bulk. That said, coffee also has negative effects on the body and shouldn't be consumed in large amounts (more than12 oz).
Can you use any of these during intermittent fasting hours? Or will they all break a fast?
Thomas, You have gotten some of us to health, weight goal, and off T2D medication. What the heck do I need to do to keep keto for life and build muscle along with Intermittent Fasting to get the Autophagy benefits including reducing the Excess skin and building lean muscle for over 60 year old Diabetic that is back to High school football weight "receiver not linebacker" but not shape.
please remember older abused body and beaten up joints.
Just keep it up, Phil. Your body is working on it! It just takes longer when you're older. Also, I've heard that you should walk at least 10,000 steps a day to lose the loose (extra) skin faster.
High I have trouble with my glucose what kind of coffee you recommend and the ingredients. Where I am buy it.?
How long does the coconut cream last in the fridge? This will depend on how much I make in bulk.
I'm reading a lot of discrepancies, regarding coconut cream... being too high in carbs? Is the incorrect?
Quick question. Since I’m doing if and not eating until noon or even 2 pm almost every day if idin’t do a longer fast would you say adding one of these creamers to my morning coffee offset the advantage of preserving the fast longer?
Sprinkled in cayenne today and it was a punchy delight!
Found your post interesting to watch. I can't wait to see your new videos soon. Good Luck with the upcoming update. This RUclips channel is very informative and effective.
Love the shirt!!!
Hi. Are you able to talk more on Aquamin- does it have to be organic?
How would all those work in cold brew coffee?
Thanks Thomas! I needed this. I was looking to substitute my morning coffee. I typically drink coffee with regular milk and no sugar.
Sugar filled milk. Lol jk
SimplyHuman Yes, some but it’s about all the sugar I consume. I’m not really a sugar lover. Nor do I love salt. I’m drawn to flavors. Just can’t have straight black coffee. Gives me bad breath lol. 😂
@@vanezaatitsallaboutmechann6558 lol
Did coconut cream contain sugar ? How is work with keto diet ?
What about all the sugar in Larid's creamer?? Is that not worth noting?
I would like to see your take on the different types of cinnamon out there. Cassia (Indonesian, Chinese and Saigon) and Ceylon. Which is better in terms of health and benefits? I've been reading that Ceylon is the true cinnamon and it's better for your health. I've been using Ceylon for awhile now.
I read that abaout ceylon too, bought a big pack and its lasted for years 😂
@@chrismccaffrey8256 where did you buy it?
Ceylon
Ceylon, Ceylon
Please do more about hemp... seeds/ milk/ hulled hemp/ protein powder. Cheers 👍
Does it have to peppermint or can you use spearmint?
I thought coconut milk powder has maltodextrin? And oil cannot be ‘powderized’ without modifying it?
Do we lose benefit by not using fresh ginger?
Do I break my fast by adding Laird’s creamer?
Why not just use butter instead of ghee? What's the difference?
Great info! Can you mix all of it? I think I’d like the combined flavors!
You too bi_ ch😉
What about Nut Pods? I've been using it as a coffee creamer. Is that good?
Flav city w bobby has one on creamers and apparently its not that good 😭😭😭
Vanilla and coconut are legal highs. Oh and coffee. Excellent presentation.
WOW! So much valuable information. Thank you. Have you tried the Laird pumpkin spice creamer?
NO, I tried to order this eve, and they are sold out
by any chance would you have an updated recommended creamer recipe? ketoish plus other general wellness additions?
protein powders can work well as a "creamer" as well as flavoring, though not sure about the coffee's thermic effects upon the branched chained macro lipidity dipities or the matrix of pulsing microscopic globular squiggly things. so take that as my caveat emptor.
as well i'd mix my coffee into my shakes.
huge thanks
They all look like they could be good.
I can’t help but believe you just by looking at your muscles ❤
So what is the bad word on vanilla extract? Why is it a no go?
This is making me want another coffee.
Thanx
Can someone explain what "chelating minerals" is? Every definition says that Chelated Minerals are ones that are better absorbed? Isn't that good? Someone hook it up and school me with some knowledge.
In the term "chelating minerals", the usage of the word "chelate" is being used as a verb, (to chelate) and it means the substance binds with the minerals and removes them. The chelation process is used, for example, to remove certain poisons a person has ingested. In Thomas's discussion he is also using the term "to chelate" as a verb. You're thinking of "chelated minerals" , whereby the word is used as an adjective resulting in a change in meaning whereby it's describing a particular type of mineral supplement.
I’m trying the coconut milk cacao this morning.
Why does my coffee get kinda foamy? Is that from the ghee? It creates this weird layer on the top.
Being a total science nerd, I’m curious about the actual scientific amounts that can induce the effects discussed here. As I watched, it’s hard to believe that a tiny dash of cayenne in a batch of any creamer can have a significant effect. Also, are those store bought desiccated versions of spices therapeutic or just over-processed? Great info; I’d just like to see more about efficacy. Thanks!
do all or any of these break your fast?
I use MCT oil and heavy whipping cream. I bought some ghee when i first started keto back in November and i just couldn't get past the smell lol. I think i might try again!
Niki Mize smell? I just bought some🤧
Add cinnamon
Grass fed dairy/ghee has that taste/smell od cow butt. I cannot get past it. Grass fed beef can be pretty nasty too if cooked too fast.
@@nancy9478 Ground Also, grass fed beef tastes greasy to me, although i know it is supposed to be better
Try vegan ghee by Nutiva or trade Joe's
