- Swedish FireSteel 2.0®:
The ultimate way to light a fire in any weather.
Originally developed for the Swedish Department of Defense, our legendary Swedish FireSteel® is the original magnesium fire starter. Our second generation Swedish FireSteel 2.0® comes with an improved striker that makes it even easier to build a fire in any weather and at any altitude. It has a new design, a color matched flexible cord and a built-in emergency whistle.
Swedish FireSteel 2.0® fire-starter works even when wet and cold. 1) Remove paint on new fire-starter with striker or knife. 2) Pull striker (with text up) or knife slowly and firmly down length of fire-starter. 3) Sparks easily ignite a stove, BBQ, paper, dry grass, bark or TinderDust™.

Swedish FireKnife®:
Hot news on the cutting edge!
A colorful outdoor knife with Swedish FireSteel® fire starter. The Swedish FireKnife is a collaboration between Light My Fire and Mora of Sweden, and we could hardly have picked a better partner. Mora has made top-notch knives for 120 years.
But this is more than just an extremely sharp, flexible and sturdy all-around knife: the handle contains a fire starter. In other words, you can gut and clean a fish, split kindling and light a campfire with one single handy tool.
Swedish FireKnife has a blade of hardened Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel and a handle with a high friction rubber grip which is comfortable, easy and safe to use. Profile-grinding makes the blade fine enough to ease out splinters and the back of knife has been ground to work perfectly with the Swedish FireSteel®. The Swedish FireSteel® is durable (3000 strikes), works equally well when wet and creates a 2,980°C spark. 1) Remove paint on new fire-starter with the back of knife. 2) Pull the back edge of the knife slowly and firmly down length of fire-starter. 3) Sparks easily ignite a stove, TinderDust, BBQ, paper, dry grass, birch bark or any other prepared tinder.

Thanks so much. Just ordered one boy scout starter, and one army starter, plus a little bit of fatwood. Dec 2021
Very well done! Cute.
I read the Light My Fire one gives a hotter spark than conventional ones, is this true? If so.... a definite survival plus to go for.
Our FireSteels produce sparks at 3000 degrees celsius. What we can guarantee is that you will get sparks every time and that it will last you for a long time!
You know you can hold knife or striker still and pull fire steel back for fat wood. . Like your videos ... hope it useful tips it also same for birds neast

where can u find this... as far as I can tell it seems to be two different products that she is showing off but now when I go to purchase it it is under the one name of Light My Fire
Go to Amazon and put in the name of the product, "Swedish FireSteel". Amazon has the knife, I am not sure about the other versions. Mine arrived yesterday. You will love it. I am glad that a woman was used in the making of the video it shows how easy the knife is to use.
Sheila Bryant
Or buy it somewhere else and not support that liberal lunatic bezos. Im as far right as they come except for concerns for the environment. Amazon is no good

In didn’t see a ring guys.....just saying 😋 great video!
Using the blade to strike with does not destroy the knife. Will take some sharpness away, but won't destroy the knife.
Well said, and quite right. It won't destroy the knife. Using the blade is possible but unnecessary, as the spine is angled for this purpose. If the blade is used, it should be the part closest to the handle. Keep an eye out for the new FireKnife!
@@lightmyfiresweden the top is flat, didn't know that. now i want one.

Like you 👊🏻
I love the beautiful blonde girl.
the blade on the fire knife even flexes
bad quality steel
Actually, that is a good thing and good steel (in this case 12c27) in this case.
It depends on what you want to do with the knife. For normal fire starting use it is totally fine to use thinnish blades.
Mora even makes a special purpose knife called the Mora Craftline TopQ Flex that flexes on purpose for intricate applications.
A good "spring" steel like 5160 flexes. If these steels did not flex they would crack or be too thick /heavy to use like the 1 pound, 4 to 6 inch knives you see on the market today.
Stay positive and thirsty my friend.
