- In this video Nick Holt and I discuss Calvinism. We look at passages like John 6, Acts 13 verse 48 Romans 8 vs.28-30 , and Ephesians 1. This conversation was long but I believe it was fruitful. You must define faith if you want to use it or your argument is void!
@Rogue Calvinist made the best scriptural reference to total depravity.. he connected the lump of clay to the man who was made from the dirt of the earth aka the clay which God formed. Therefore the whole human race comes from that lump just as eve came from it!

And was there a Leighton symposium recently that shined the light on presuppositional apologetics? Never mind the fact that they are using it wrong, it's just odd that all of this ilk are trying to use it as a "gotcha" point in their arguments.
Bro! You are presupposing autonomous free will in your "exegesis"; we ALL have presuppositions lol. Ours just presupposes God's Word rather than man's autonomy.

It's tough trying to defend a false Jesus and Gospel without denying God's word.He has to call God a liar at every point of the TULIP by changing definitions of words,while ignoring plain text.

OT saints and NT saints all had to be regenerated to be saved... it is just more comprehensive in the NT in terms of the intimacy with God that He makes more brodly available to His elect ...
I agree. I would probably say that the indwelling is different in the NT because of John (7?) but that doesn't mean the OT saints weren't regenerated. They clearly had to be because they were dead in sin.

Ie: nick was not correct and he was really incorrect!
The bottom line is,FAITH IS A GIFT OF GOD ,to His people, it is not something that you can conjure up as a God hater and yhen give it to God to cause Him to make you born again. But be sure, your god and Jesus, that you believe in and teach, does not exist.I beg you,turn and bow to the Lord of Glory, lay down your weapons and humbley bow before Him.
So, where does the Bible says "Unless you believe I saved you effectually you will die in your sins?" It doesn't. It says "Unless you believe I AM HE, you will die in your sins." So, the deity of Christ is a salvific issue. It also says that if you add works to the Gospel then you are damned so sola fide is a salvific issue. I had to WORK to understand the doctrines of Grace. I had to study the Bible to become a Calvinist. If you are adding Calvinism to the Gospel then you are promoting a works based Gospel and are in danger of being anathema. We can debate this issue if you'd like. I will be as kind to you as I have been to others. HOWEVER, I would encourage you to rethink this issue because James White, Jeff Durbin, and R.C. Sproul all say or said that you are wrong.

I love you Twitchy, but you basically just let these people preach a false Gospel with very little push back.Its like you think its the same Gospel, just a little inconsistency, but its not.A Jesus who tried to save everyone but can't, is different from The Biblical Jesus,who actually saved all He died for.So the freewiller Gospel, is not the same Gospel or Jesus that Paul or the rest Taught. The Bible tells us that a man without the Spirit cannot accept the truth, that its Spiritually discerned.These freewillers are still at ENMITY with God,they still hate Him and they are the man of Roman's 9:19 that cannot change with correction, so,they become those of John 6:66 and leave the real Jesus to find another Messiah that they like better and those with another Jesus,at the judgment will hear,DEPART. These folks need to be prayed for and Evangelized.These people are in eternal trouble. Are they Elect? I think that you are incorrect. Even R.C. Sproul said that Arminians and other noncalvinists are saved. Where in the Bible does it say that you must believe in tulip so be saved?
I love you too but you are dead wrong bout Nick being lost. My brother is also a non-Calvinist. Are you saying that he and the rest of my family members are headed for hell?
@TwitchyThelogian Those who'll hear DEPART were religious people, they called Jesus Lord,they preached from the Bible they even cast out demons in Jesus name and did many good works in Jesus name but the key is,they believed in a false gospel and Jesus. If one can add the phrase:....When I didn't have to..after any reason that they should be in Heaven, then they have the wrong Gospel and Jesus no matter who they are and die in this state. One thing you don't hear anyone say is ,,BUT LORD,DIDN'T YOU SAVE ME? I anyone says,"but Lord didn't I choose you" when I didn't have to? That's a false believer and this is why Paul tells us to examine ourselves to be sure we're in the faith, to study to show ourselves approved...If it makes no difference in what Gospel and Jesus we believe in if it's just an in house debate ,as Ive heard so many say we shouldn't debate it at all because it causes dissenton and that's a sin but if it's vital to the cause of Christ, we certainly need to DEMOLISH every false Gospel presented.So Jesus told them that He never knew them,that mean,loved them.
@@CBALLEN So, what verse tells us that you have to believe in Calvinism to be saved again? According to your standard VERY few people have ever been saved yet God tells us that Abraham's descendants will be as numerous as the stars. Furthermore, Calvinism EXPLAINS the Gospel or is the Gospel fully orbed. Non-Calvinists believe in the same Jesus as we do. They preach the same Gospel as we do (Jesus died to save sinners, repent and trust in Christ and you will be saved). They may not understand how the Gospel works but they hold to the same Gospel. It is an IN house debate BUT it affects how we share the Gospel and is thus important as is every other doctrine of Scripture.
@TwitchyThelogian ? It's Christianty verses paganism.This idea of freewill salvation came from Roman Catholic paganism. I can't remember the actual date,but when the Arch Bishop of Canterbury( supposed Protestant) died,they found a letter from to Pope telling of his plan to infiltrate the Protestant church and infect it with the," SOVEREIGN Drug of Freewill,that is Arminianism " and Roman did just that,by training Jesuits as Protestant preachers.They have been very successful, as you know, in trying to bring back all Protestant churches to Rome.Roman Catholicism, is the beast religion and man controlling his own salvation is the foundation.
