Mega cars, both of them. I'd just started working for JLR when they were releasing the f type, and they used to keep the batch and hold cars outside of our maintenance workshop. Working in the press shop, our workshop was a sound proofed room but you could still here the 5.0 v8's fire up all the time. They Always put a smile on my face
I'd go for the 8 as a daily, buy a 2 liter F-type for the weekends and ask a coach builder to reproduce the gorgeous bump on the boot. What a pair! Locked myself up on the...you know and enjoyed every second of this video! Thank you sir.
Project 8 for me! What a cathedral of a car! I wonder what the sound is like sitting behind the wheel. Listening to it via earpods was just amazing. Its great that Mike lets you experience his extraordinary heavenly cars for all of us. So a big thank you from an enthusiastc Peddler to the other. Above all, what a privilege to see you Pete sitting on the right side behind the wheel 😜
Wouldn't have missed the ride along with you in the dash 8 for anything. Wow! You are right. She's something special. Can't help but love the V8's. Would love to take her out on some special roads here in America for a few days. That engine sound reminded me of the 66 427 big block Corvett I had back in the day. I was 28 then. Still love it just as much to day. Thanks my friend. Shalom
Fantastic video Pete, this is my first posting on your Channel. The smiles on your face tell the whole story! I remember your review of the XE-S back in the day, that heavily informed my choice of car and I bought the XE-S, by then it had moved up from 340bhp to 380bhp, no where near the P8's power but I feel as a proud XE owner I have in some way 'touched the hem' of the Project 8, so it will come as no surprise my choice would be ...the Project 8!
Mike, you are a fortunate man for having such beautiful cars, but you are a great man for sharing them with Petrol Ped and all of us Peddlers! That Project 7 is fantastic, but I think I would go with the Project 8. Brilliant!
This is actually the first time in months I've seen a Petrol Ped video in my feed the moment it actually came out! Now if only that could happen with the mid-week 180 videos, rather than 3 minutes after the hour...
For driving, the Project 8, for emotional involvement, the Project 7. Ultimately, for me it would have be the Project 7, but by a cat's whisker! Hat's off to Mike for sharing such rare and exquisite cars with us. Many thanks 👍. Andrew KB
Hi pp 👍 what a car, thanks to Mike for us all to enjoy!❤ project 8 for me especially if it was available in estate. the 7 doesn't look like it has a roof! Brilliant work pp someone has got to do it!🥂
Never been a Jaguar fan, but man these cars are epic.......!! You are one lucky fella Pete.... Great videos..... Keep em coming...... and get to Cornwall soon......!!
That Project 8 is a beast! Although I understand your choice, I would opt for the Project 7. There are more possibilities to drive top down than chances you make it to a track day to really give that Project 8 the space it needs. Thanks for these awesome back to back video's and keep the content coming!
If it was me - it would be the Project 8- just purely for the grin factor- what a drive. It must be the ultimate Jaguar. Although the car I would look at the most would be the Project 7- its stunning. Special thanks to Mike for showing us - these two amazing motors.
Absolutely love that cars soundtrack jaguar should do a watered down version so it be available to lesser none mortals great reviews of both project jabs this should have more veiws
Project 8 every day for me. I had an XE for 3 years and although it was only a 2.0 diesel, it was a tool. Happy cruising on the motorway, but put it in dynamic and thread it down a B road, it was epic. Man I miss that car. I’ll never afford a project 8, but I’ll try and get a ‘S’ on the driveway sometime.
I’m fairly new to Jaguar, I purchased a MY21 F-pace S late last year (2021) of course I loved the car but my 2020 transit 350 medium roof extended wheelbase loaded with tools and inventory had more power so I brought it back with 740 miles on it and very fortunately secured one of two F-pace SVRs being allocated to my local dealer, I was able to spec the car out with everything I wanted and have become a Jaguar enthusiast. Now I’m looking for one of what I thought was 300 project 8’s and of all the videos I’ve watched your the only one that seems to know there are only 220, now I want one even more…
That isn't an ASBO car, it needs a straight-jacket and a padded cell! Frikkin' amazing, mate. Thank Mike for sharing with us, please, he's awesome. (I'd go for the 8, total hoon!).
Great Vid Pete... What a car! 😎. To make a choice between the two, I'd have to drive them. As I haven't, I'll go with the Project 7 just so I'd get all of the theatre, drama and noise with the roof off! 😍
Great video Pete there's nothing like the sound of a V8, and then you put a supercharger on it and you say WOW WOW. Well done I'm loven it. Cheers Dave from downunder 😎
Hi Peter, I was lucky enough to borrow an F- type convertible a couple of years ago (friendly with a local jaguar dealer )and even with a paltry 542 bhp found it a little skittish at the rear even on warm tarmac with Michelin rubber, so I'd have the project 8 with the security of 4wd and a decent interior would be the one for me.
Project 8 for me too, sounds epic and the way it seemed to dart about looks just to good to be true. So say envious is an understatement. I think they have a project 8 as a ring taxi at the Nürburgring if so I am definitely getting a lap in it next time I am out. Geat video they just keep getting better and better.
Given a choice I'd have a LHD car in the UK any day of the week, something just feels 'normal' about them. Blind junctions, roundabouts and overtaking can be navigated with equal care as when driving on the continent in a right-hand.
thanks for making us smile with joy and empathy...used £120-140k now...is it really useable as a four door saloon? is the ride to hard for long journeys? if it was useable, not just for fun on a b road then the P8, if it was for entertainment then more likely the 'less practical' P7
Project 8 for me. While I realise the P8 is an entirely different proposition to the rest of the XE range, I think the road-going XE is an under-appreciated car.
Project 7.5?.. precisely the dilemma. P8 for the driving. P7 for the looks and theatre. Always thought if I ever hit the big time, I’d invite you to drive whatever super car I bought. I mean you can still come and have a go in my Countryman Cooper SD lol 😂. Terrific vid again
Pretty sure I looked at one of these on display in the local Jaguar dealership showroom a few years ago. Huge wheels with carbon ceramic brakes. They didn’t even bother putting the price on it, as so expensive. Quite a piece of engineering.
Hi Pete What a great video and two amazing cars For me Pete I’d go for the project 7 More fun with the roof off and you can listen to the beautiful sound of that engine Even better when you’re driving through little country villages or big tunnels
Ok Pete you were right, the project 8 wins me over the amazing Mustang. The sound of that supercharger and exhaust were amazing. Also a big thanks to Mike for allowing us to see his amazing unique cars 👍👍👍
What a beast. Although I'd go for the Project 7 as I'm a rag top man...plus that rear fairing...wow! On a side note my wife overheard this video and thought your voice was Dave Gorman's! Dunno which way to take that :)
Awesome 😎 job Pete, CANT PICK BOTH DOH! What a Wazzock. Ok let me think 🤔.....................The Project Eight, for me it’s four-wheel-drive that grabs it, but in purple lol 😆. Any hu I’m going to watch both vids again and I’ll need a cloth. Yah know, for that drool 🤤 lmao 😝. Please stay safe, healthy & drive safely 💋
I have had the opportunity to drive both of these cars and they are amazing but I love the Project 8 and it has definitely made the list for future dream cars. @petroPed do you think they will make a Project out of the Jaguar I-Pace?
Having not driven either not an easy choice to decide which one to take! But think the P8 maybe ticks more boxes and the P7 with that roof not good for a Euro trip to the Alps. So P8 for me😎
Hi Pete. So it seems I was right in my comment on the Project 7 video. There's no EV, regardless of how fast, that would promote the reactions from you that the Mustang, Project 7 and now the Project 8 have done....a resounding victory for the Supercharged V8s as proper drivers cars. Performance, smell, involvement, and of course, that noise.....beats the 'sound' of tumbleweed for any proper petrol head. Enjoyed these last few videos......and I'd have the Project 8. BTW, did Mike make you wash the bugs off the front of his cars afterwards?
I have to say the wait was worth it. They both sound absolutely awesome, but that supercharger with all those squirrels done it for me, so Project 8 has won my vote just..
We have the Jaguar XKR-S GT, the Project 7, the Project8, and the F Pace SVR all in matching white on black spec. You can’t beat these cars. There are people that dislike Jaguars and then there’s people that have driven them.
Very cool... I currently have matching white on black Jaguar XKR-S GT and a Project 8... looking for a white Project 7 next to complete the Jaguar modern triad. Have you had a go in the GT yet?
Sounds like a 1000 screaming squirrels 🐿 😂!! So now we know how sir pete was as a young boy! Epic review and car sir pete by far my favorite car review you’ve done!!! Also see cars are best driven on that side of the car! Lol I’d have the project 8!
No complaints here Ped for me it would be the Project 8 every time, there is just something about a fast saloon.Driving the RS3 saloon it does the same thing with the feel, and when are we going to get the other car vid entries as promised , or come and take a look at the real thing when you are in Wales next. Keep up the top content. What was the best Project 8 or Mustang???
Hi Pete, I prefer the Project 7 looks but without any hesitation I would have the Project 8, far more practical even though it's a left hooker. I think the 7s roof would be a huge pain in the rear lol. Great couple of videos. Take care mate 👍👍👍👍🏁
Hi pete, the project 8 for me,,awesome vlog, got to ask you under controlled conditions ,one long track would you like to have pushed it towards the 200mph, Drive safe stay safe, Cheers
Never driven a Left Hand drive car in my life so I would have to say that choosing either car is difficult they are so great. The seven is impractical as the weather in this country is so unpredictable and the soft top is as you said in your first video is Heath Robinson to fiddle with so in my choice I would have the Eight and take all the adulation of people seeing me in it and wishing they were me!!! But it`s still not the kind of car to take to Asda is it? Two great videos of two great cars so thank you for the privilege. What`s next I wonder!!!
The P8 for me.. So capable and a towering achievement.
Awesome 😎
I own 3 Jaguars, looks like I'm adding another one to my garage! What a car the project 8 is.
It’s a corker 👍
I was lucky enough to drive a project 8 a couple of weeks ago , what a machine ! Absolutely amazing car
Project 8 for me.
The owner of these vehicles sounds like he may have some interesting stories to tell. Could make for an interesting video.
I hope to go and do his other cars one day 👍
I'd go for the 8 as a daily, buy a 2 liter F-type for the weekends and ask a coach builder to reproduce the gorgeous bump on the boot. What a pair! Locked myself up on the...you know and enjoyed every second of this video!
Thank you sir.
Great acoustics 😜😂
Project 8 for me mate I think! That rasp from the engine reminds me of an old Alfa!
Project 8 for me! What a cathedral of a car! I wonder what the sound is like sitting behind the wheel. Listening to it via earpods was just amazing. He is indeed a legend 👍
This is actually the first time in months I've seen a Petrol Ped video in my feed the moment it actually came out!
Now if only that could happen with the mid-week 180 videos, rather than 3 minutes after the hour...
Crikey mate you are having it hard in life at the moment, feel for you! ........... Greetings from the Philippines :-)
LOL 😂
I've got xj 2014 would love one beast
For driving, the Project 8, for emotional involvement, the Project 7. Ultimately, for me it would have be the Project 7, but by a cat's whisker! Hat's off to Mike for sharing such rare and exquisite cars with us. Many thanks 👍. Andrew KB
Cheers Andrew 👍
Hi pp 👍 what a car, thanks to Mike for us all to enjoy!❤ project 8 for me especially if it was available in estate. the 7 doesn't look like it has a roof! Brilliant work pp someone has got to do it!🥂
Thanks Stella 👍
The wait was worth it. Project 8 for me. Hardtop & huge wing for the kid still in me.
Yep 👍
It's got to be the Project 8 for me. I love a big powerful saloon. What a car that is!
Good call 👍
Enjoyed watching part two featuring the Project 8 based on the XE Saloon
Great to hear 👍
I would choose the Project 8 as my choice
Never been a Jaguar fan, but man these cars are epic.......!! You are one lucky fella Pete.... Great videos..... Keep em coming...... and get to Cornwall soon......!!
Will do 👍
Project 8, saw two on a trailer last year comming out of Jaguar site in Castle Brom , absolutely awesome
Absolutely demented motor, definitely the Project 8 for me!
That Project 8 is a beast! Although I understand your choice, I would opt for the Project 7. There are more possibilities to drive top down than chances you make it to a track day to really give that Project 8 the space it needs. Will do 👍
It'd be the Project 8 for me - what a lucky chap to own both, and you to have driven both!
Indeed 🙏🏻
If it was me - it would be the Project 8- just purely for the grin factor- what a drive. It must be the ultimate Jaguar.
Although the car I would look at the most would be the Project 7- its stunning.
Special thanks to Mike for showing us - these two amazing motors.
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Absolutely love that cars soundtrack jaguar should do a watered down version so it be available to lesser none mortals great reviews of both project jabs this should have more veiws
Project 7 fantastic looking car and being convertible and right hand drive just throws this for me!
Project 8 every day for me. I had an XE for 3 years and although it was only a 2.0 diesel, it was a tool. It's like an even better looking Alpha.
Massive want.
The P8. It's the total package. Stunning!~
Oh yes 👌
Looks superb, especially those flared rear arches
Again an excellent review of the top cats, I wonder how a very rare old 2015 F Type R RWD convertible would fair.
Pretty well 👍
Project 8, Thank you Mike for letting Pete share his experience with us. Great videos WOW.
Glad you enjoyed them 👍
Addictively dangerous to fall in love 😍 with cars like that
I would go for the Project 8. 12:36 into the video - that exhaust noise got a full round of applause 👏 One of the best sounding cars ever. 👌🎯
A proper beast 😂
Now you get it Peter !! But you quite right about the left hand drive !! I think that was a mistake but it does have its compensations
Mega once you get through the tunnel and into France 👌
@@PetrolPed Exactly !! Won't be doing that for a while sadly
Project 8 everyday for me too!
That isn't an ASBO car, it needs a straight-jacket and a padded cell! Frikkin' amazing, mate. Thank Mike for sharing with us, please, he's awesome. (I'd go for the 8, total hoon!).
LOL 😂
I'll have to actually watch this vid. Whenever I glimpsed at the screen PetrolPed is just grinning in that P8.
You definitely should 😜😂
Project 8 because of its versatility as a track / family car. If you can only have one then this is the one. Thanks Ped.
Cheers Tim 👍
Just watched back to back... brilliant Peter and you've just gotta love those guys at SVO - yep... still nursing one LOL!!!!
😂😂😂
Love it. That sound track. ❤❤
Great Vid Pete... What a car! 😎. To make a choice between the two, I'd have to drive them. As I haven't, I'll go with the Project 7 just so I'd get all of the theatre, drama and noise with the roof off! 😍
Good plan 👍
I'd love to choose both, but i think the Project 8 is the one I'd go for. It sounds great (supercharger whine❤) & grips the road. 👍❤🙂.
👍
Great video Pete there's nothing like the sound of a V8, and then you put a supercharger on it and you say WOW WOW. Well done I'm loven it. Cheers Dave from downunder 😎

Not difficult to choose for me.
Project 8. Thanks to Mike for letting us enjoy his amazing collection through your capable hands Peter. 👍
Indeed. What a guy 👏
Project 8 for me. And I recall your first XE vid as I was watching the development of the XE and scouring YT for any clips. Yours came up!
Awesome 😎
Given a choice I'd have a LHD car in the UK any day of the week, something just feels 'normal' about them. Blind junctions, roundabouts and overtaking can be navigated with equal care as when driving on the continent in a right-hand.
What a thing! It looks nearly as focused as my Swift Sport.
Love a Swift Sport 👌
thanks for making us smile with joy and empathy...used £120-140k now...is it really useable as a four door saloon? is the ride to hard for long journeys? if it was useable, not just for fun on a b road then the P8, if it was for entertainment then more likely the 'less practical' P7

I am indeed 😜😂
This is my dream car. Love the review! 👍
Great video Peter and another awesome Jaguar. What a stunning car and as much as I love the P7 I’d have to choose the P8 😉👌🏻
Me too 👍
7/8 I can’t make my mind up both cars are stunning . Good watch enjoyed both videos just watched back to back
Cool 😎
Definitely the 8 in my garage, alongside my trusty X-Type 2.2D Sport Estate
Another great car , the prodject 7 , just for cool styling, thanks for a super video. Keith
My pleasure Keith 👍
7 for me please! It's got a great shape. Totally classic ☺
Wow another amazing motor, Mike is definately a top Gezza👍 For me it would be the P7 i just think it looks stunning 👍👍👍👍
He sure is 👍
Project 8 for me. While I realise the P8 is an entirely different proposition to the rest of the XE range, I think the road-going XE is an under-appreciated car.
I agree 👍
Project 7.5?.. precisely the dilemma. P8 for the driving. P7 for the looks and theatre. Always thought if I ever hit the big time, I’d invite you to drive whatever super car I bought. I mean you can still come and have a go in my Countryman Cooper SD lol 😂. Terrific vid again
Thanks for the invite 👍
Great Jag item my license would not last long with either of these missles !
Mine either 😂
Another excellent video! The only Jaguar that has peaked my interest.
Pretty sure I looked at one of these on display in the local Jaguar dealership showroom a few years ago. Huge wheels with carbon ceramic brakes. They didn’t even bother putting the price on it, as so expensive. Quite a piece of engineering.
There are so many lovely bits to look at on them 👍
Hi Pete
What a great video and two amazing cars
For me Pete I’d go for the project 7 More fun with the roof off and you can listen to the beautiful sound of that engine
Even better when you’re driving through little country villages or big tunnels
Oh yes. Just hope it doesn’t rain 😂
Think I’d have to go for the Project 8. It’s just a little bit more special than the 7 in my opinion.
👍
What a glorious soundtrack for a car to make. 😀
Yep 👍
Doesn't sound anything like my 2.0d r sport :(
Ok Pete you were right, the project 8 wins me over the amazing Mustang. The sound of that supercharger and exhaust were amazing. Also a big thanks to Mike for allowing us to see his amazing unique cars 👍👍👍
Indeed. What a gent 🙏🏻
Beautiful, brutal, talented and fun .. fantastic car mate. Very nice. The 7 is my favourite 😎. Matt from Australia 🇦🇺
Cheers Matt 👍
What a beast. Although I'd go for the Project 7 as I'm a rag top man...plus that rear fairing...wow! On a side note my wife overheard this video and thought your voice was Dave Gorman's! Dunno which way to take that :)
Neither do I 😜😂😂😂
Project 8. Another awesome car and video. Any chance of a video of the XKRS too. Keep up the great work👌🏻
Yes Pete that speed limit is ridiculous
I think I liked the project 8 the best will done pp on getting them 👏🏿💪🏿
Awesome 😎 job Pete, CANT PICK BOTH DOH!
Cheers AJ 👍
The owner of the jags has got taste respect to you what great cars very envious of him
He sure has 👍👍
I have had the opportunity to drive both of these cars and they are amazing but I love the Project 8 and it has definitely made the list for future dream cars. @petroPed do you think they will make a Project out of the Jaguar I-Pace?
Project 8 is the one I would pick. Just ticks all the boxes.
They both came back covered 😂
Really great pair of cars. Project 8 anytime for me
Cheers Gary 👍
I'll go for the Project 8 please, with the Touring Car Pack and painted Jet gloss black, with a matte black stripe.
Nice 👍
Gotta be the Project 8, every time. That noise is pure speed, but without being totally ASBO.
Morning pal. Oh the sound. Love this bad girl.
Another good review Pete👍
I have also watched Harry’s videos on his P8 he loves his 😎
Ah yes. Love his stuff 👍
Some motor, not keen on the colour , Harry’s is a nicer colour , but fantastic car , cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
Great video as always Pete 👍 project 8 for me 😁
I have to say the wait was worth it. They both sound absolutely awesome, but that supercharger with all those squirrels done it for me, so Project 8 has won my vote just..

Nice 👍 Not driven one of those 👎
Best part of the video was watching you truly enjoy the car. You dont really enjoy EVs, but you do enjoy monsters like these two cars!
I was trying to be cool but failed miserably 😂
@@PetrolPed If you are driving a Jaguar you are already cool.
Sounds like a 1000 screaming squirrels 🐿 😂!! So now we know how sir pete was as a young boy! Epic review and car sir pete by far my favorite car review you’ve done!!! Also see cars are best driven on that side of the car! Lol I’d have the project 8!
I thought you’d like this one 👍

Evening Mr P. Project 8 for me please.Stunning machine, great colour and great vid.Is there any chance you might be back to drive the XKR?
Yep. Hopefully 👍
What can you say what an amazing car. Take Care.

P8 for me.
