This was great! I was about to head out to Home Depot for some spackle and possibly a new towel bar. I just moved into this apartment, but I am not one to sit and wait on other people. Cannot tell you how quick and easy this was. Saved me time and money. Thank you!!
Literally same
Oh my gosh I literally put to much pressure on it and it broke! Thank god someone made this video that’s specific to my problem 🤩
Yay! I'm an 87 year old woman and I fixed it!
That's awesome!
My new d.r. Horton home toilet paper holder came out of the cabinet it was on. I had to replace the short screw with a longer one. Thank you for video.
You saved my life. I broke my parents towel rod while getting head 🤣😉 the paper worked nicely. Thank you for helping me avoid a stressful conversation
We sell this tower holder on Amazon.Do you want a free sample.pls contact me 😌
🤣🤣🤣
🤣😅😂😆
This was so helpful, thank you!
God bless you for your patience doing this frustrating job and at the same time to record it as well 😀
Haha! Thanks :)
This is not a proper way to fix it!!! 🤦
Just drill a half inch hole and put a toggle screw in it. It'll hold up to 100 lbs in most cases.
Ohhhhh God bless you for this video!!!!
That's awesome, will try it on mine now, thank you
Whaat not me being Handy Mandy 😁😆 Ty great video very helpful for me 👍😌👏
Thanks for the video.
helped a lot thank you
Great one . Helped me out today
I replaced the normal screw with the toggle screw that is more of a long term fix
Thank you, sir. This helped me
Thank you for uploading this video I was sitting and thinking how can I fix this because I have the same towel rack. Thanks 😊 your video was very useful.
Did this worked great for now lol. Mine were huge screws and only the first top screws were out and stripped so I wrapped paper around them stuck em in and they're just fine lol. Thanks my dood
Awesome! Glad it worked for you
Have you ever tried the expanding foam?
When putting up the bar, I heard of something that sounded like a _really_ good tip that also involves paper: Stick some damp paper from paper towel or tissue paper into the holes on the bar mounts. That will prevent the bar from rattling and moving side to side, making the whole thing feel rock solid and nice and quiet. And prevent the bar from sliding out of the holes if the mounts are a little far apart.
That sounds like it might help making it wet but I'd be concerned of putting anything wet in the wall. Tissue and paper towels don't have the same resilience and are designed to degrade quicker, so I'd be hesitant to use those materials. They may work though! Have you tried it?
@@FryerDIYguy Not into the hole in the wall, but into the hole on the side of the decorative attachment where you stick in the rod. Makes the rod more stable between the attachments.
Nice ! Just tried this and it seems to work.
Hey I can probably do this! Mahalo!
I only needed to see how that bracket worked so thumbs up . Didn’t watch the rest. Hopefully I won’t tear it up and need that.🤪
😂
Just spray some spray foam in the hole until it oozes out then screw the bracket back on. In two hrs it will be completely secure. You may want to punch a slightly larger hole before spraying.
You have a dirty mind.
What kind of spray foam?
@@RIZEArtStudios IT's called Great Stuff shouldn't cost more than 10 dollars from a hardware store
Can I have the link for this bathroom hardware please?
I appreciate the quick fix. But this is only temporary and so t be strong for long. Proper fix would be to use toggle screws.
Yep. Toggle screws work best for dry wall. Most of them can handle up to 50 lbs, more than enough for towels.
Toggle bolt anchor is the only permanent fix.
I really need to know what brand that towel bar is bought a house that has these in it and need a few more hope someone can help with a brand or where to buy these at thanks
It looks very much like the one I bought at Lowe’s
Try this and it worked. The hardest part was getting the right amount of paper for the hole.
Bummer. This didn’t work for me. The paper just pushed right through the drywall because there was no stud behind it. I just added a plastic drywall anchor and it worked well. But what is frustrating is that the other end of the towel bar is a bit loose and the tiny screw that holds the bar on won’t tighten anymore.
Man I wish mines was this is easy, my kids took the whole bracket out the wall and I have a hole about a inch in half wide.
I think everyone has a sheet of paper and a screwdriver at home. This is a bandaid tho and not a permanent solution. The paper will absorb moisture in the bathroom and loose it's strength.
So far it's been 1 year & 4 months and held up to two little boys. You can try cutting a sliver of a pencil if you want something else.
@@FryerDIYguywow! I stand corrected. THX.
Toggle screw
Jude tooth picks instead of paper.
Great idea!
Just don,t know why the builder don,t reinforced that. It happen al the time. Cheap builder.
That is not going to hold up to kids any better. Esp if using a screw bulldog doesn't do it
😂😂
This has got to be the worst way to fix this problem. Your relying on a piece of paper to hold this in place? No epoxy putty or reinforcements of any type .
Appreciate the comment, always looking for suggestions. But it has been working for over a year and being in the bathroom of two 7 year olds ;)
FryerTad well. I guess it’s worth a try . Sorry for the snarky comment .
No problem!
This fix lasts about 5 minutes.. garbage!!
Seriously, I almost did what @kellyjohnson1976 did too. Thanks for making my life so much simpler, and this fix a breeze!
