Hi. Great introduction 👍. But I have a question. The pinpoint function. When I use this on a shallow target. It is only detected on the edges on the coil? 🤔. I thought this should be in the middle of the coil 🤔
Not sure I've experienced the same thing. But then again, I don't use that method to pinpoint. If its shallow just back off the target with the coil until the sound changes. Usually the target will be right in the middle at the top of your coil.
Coffee with Scott man! Hey, you tired Rocky out, hard to do. Ya,, I like the sound of the 2-tone regional a lot myself! Have a good one, I gotta take some pics of a hunt I did here in Western Massachusetts Wednesday, I'll get them over by tonight, kinda crazy man!!!!
@@MentalMetal I’ve seen 2 different RUclips guys one being Calabash digger talking about this new update that minelab is working on for the iron falsing. Hope they get it figured out by the time my manticore comes in. Great job using the manticore. Thanks
Your videos on the Deus2 were, and still are invaluable to me. I am now on two distributors lists for the Minelab manticore. Would you be comfortable giving me your assessment of the manticore as a beach metal detector, which is what I primarily do, so that I can make a decision as to whether or not to buy one, as soon as I am informed that one is available?
Sorry for the late response. I haven't personally used it on the beach but I think you will have a slight edge in depth with the Manticore. But it should be really good on the beach and from what I've seen it is.
Watched your video three times, I agree, I like the two region All tone the best too. Getting impatient for my Manticore to arrive, why is Minelab dinking around with a new single frequency machine when hundreds of people are waiting for a detector they promised months ago? They just don't seem to care about their customer base😠
I use 1 region all tone but adjust the lower end of the tones down to 20 with the top end at 50. You can customize audio further than what you showed in the video. So much customization that can be done. I can see 2 region all tone being useful if you wanted to single foil out and give it a much lower tone closer to a ferrous tone.
Volume Profiles (Simple, Medium, Rich) in 3 of the 4 Audio Themes you tested also affect the way you hear targets….they add some modulation to the overall audio…..Thanks for the video, Scott. I prefer 1 or 2 Region All Tones too.
I appreciate this video. Your a great teacher.
Thanks I appreciate that. Thank you.
Great channel! Thanks for helping us all out
Happy to help!

Thanks!

I’ve primarily been using the two region all tone, been my go to and am starting to get a good ear for that setting.
I agree I really like it too.
Sounds good thanks for sharing!!!!
You bet!
Thanks for vid.

You must have thawed out I take it?
@@MentalMetal We did finally thaw! Sent some pics of my hunt last week. Thank goodness, because the snow starts again this week man.
Have heard that Minelab is working on a update for the Manticore to address the iron falsing on iron. Just wondering if you had heard anything?
I haven't personally heard anything from anyone just yet. I'll believe it when I can actually download it.

I'm sure they will. They fixed the Nox 800 when it had issues, they just aren't very fast with the fixes.
I was just wondering what search mode you like the most? My manticore has came in yet but on my nox 800 I use park 1 or field 2 mostly.
Lately, I've been enjoying high conductors just because I have been coin shooting. It really depends on the type of hunting I do.
Great video
Thanks!

The wait has turned Me off as well . . . sticking with Nox 800 for essentially the simplicity- as the Manticore appears over-hyped & over engineered.

I use two region all tones. I set the first region to 0-9 pitch 6. Second region 10-99 tone 16-50 I love it
I might have to try that. Thanks!
So do you guys dig anything in the 0-99 range I just got my detector and have been practicing with it I’m also enjoying the 2 tome
5 tone without all regions sounds like nox
You can make it sound pretty close. Its a Minelab. :-)
You sure are lucky buddy the best depth I can get in my soil with my Nox 800 on a silver quarter is 6".
Sorry to hear Rick you must be in some hot dirt.
Boy that's an under statement .I live in the central valley of Calif.
Definitely do not like depth
Yeah thats a tough one to get used to.
Nice job Scott! Get mine today! Woohoo! 2 tone reg sounds pretty crispy for sure!
🐕 Depth sounds like a whimpering Puppy.
Come on now.. :-)
