I’ll never forget putting this game in for the first time and being blown away seeing Pokémon on my tv. This was my first home console Pokémon game, I had only played Sapphire beforehand. Gamefreak should really consider making another Orre game.
i remember when this game came out it was raining so hard, but i dragged my parents to the nearest best buy and bought the game. Thank you Nintendo for giving me an awesome childhood!
@@thevenom2731 Not really no. Colosseum made you think and make strategies. Sword and Shield as an example has no story and you're being handheld throughout the game. Also has worse Animations than this game.
@PKMNVeteran Chris The story happens behind the scenes. You're just a dumb kid running around collecting gym badges. The past game story was bad, the little it had, those two sword and shield guys are the same as the villains in borderlands 3, lame, bland and overall just an annoyance.
@PKMNTrainer Christy he probably meant you don't just get to assemble the most op team and steamroll the game, you have to make do with what you get. Idk about you but in the mainline games I never would have used pokemon such as Sunflora, Remoraid, Skiploom, Quagsire etc. Also, The game itself is just harder than mainline pokemon games. Fighting the "Boss" trainers who use the legendary hounds feels difficult and rewarding when you finally manage to catch them.
It took me so long to realize why this song sounded familiar to me as a child.. But recently it hit me! It's a slightly altered melody of the "Gym Main Theme" from most pokemon main games!! 🤯
Forget your pokemon cards kids and just drop them and play this game, fantastic RPG despite on the double battle style of Pokemon even if this is considered as a side game. Happy 20th anniversary also.
This how a pokemon game suppose to be. Better animation story. Take notessss gamefreakkk. Sword shield Scartlet n Violet are nothing to this old school games. I wana play them again

Getting Umbreon and Espeon as your starters was such a highlight moment
It was a very interesting duality.. one defensive and one offensive. I don't think I ever switched them from my mains though lol

This track hooked me into the game, but I never heard it again throughout the rest of the game, and I was so sad about that.
it does play a few more times, but none of the fights it is used in are mandatory. Most notably, it plays during the first area of Mt. Battle.

I was going to play Baldur's Gate 3 today but instead I decided to play this game again. You can't beat the feeling of Nostalgia.

Actually twice. It also plays for the first 10 rounds at Mount Battle in area 1.
Also plays when you revisit the biker in the beginning to fight his now evolved Zigzagoons.
