Wow, your videos have gotten a lot smoother and more visually unique. Like, this is still good, but your current videos are clearly the result of a lot more experience then you have at this point.
Episode 2 of the Fire Emblem stats: Aqua. Aqua's greatest proficiencies are in swords, reason, and faith, as a magic-loving Keyblade user. The only weapon she is not good at using is brawling, since the one time she tried to use it, she got screwed over. Aqua's best stats are in magic, dexterity, and speed. However, her HP, luck, and defense are very poor.
For a one shot today, I played a version of this build but as King Mickey (reflavored halfling), and was the *only character left standing* after getting the killing blow on the big bad. Thank you for this.
In honor of Tulok's Kingdom Hearts videos causing me to play Kingdom Hearts, and in the process finding one of my favorite series (finished KH3 just today) I'm rewatching and commenting on all of his Kingdom Hearts videos cause he's cool and so is Kingdom Hearts
I know this is an old one but this is by far my favorite video you have ever made why I'll always come back and watch this once every couple months. Aqua has always been my favorite and I just absolutely love how you were able to do such a great job in properly translating the character. Your content is always great to watch and It's amazing to see how much you've grown since back then. Keep up the great work :)
Pretty solid build! I had a friend ask me what class Aqua would be and I had - at the time - told them she’d be a Wizard (Bladesinger) with a tip in Fighter up to level 3 to get Eldritch Knight.
I like to go back with RUclipsrs and see some of their older videos to see and appreciate the progress they’ve made. You started out really strong my dude and you’re getting better and better with each video, keep it up!!!
A couple of RAW things; Unlike previous editions, Paladins in 5e don't have to worship a god. Their power manifests from their commitment to the ideals of their oaths. Things to remember about Witch Bolt. The extra damage from higher spell slots only happens on the initial casting, the recurring damage on subsequent rounds is the base 1d12. The spell ends if you use your action on your turn to do anything other than the 1d12 lightening damage (also if the target can get total cover from you, or if they move outside the spells range).
For Aqua, I'd probably do either a Bladesinger Wizard (Aqua seems more like an Intelligence caster), or I'd mix 5 or 6 levels of Fighter into a Wizard. The Fighter would be either a Psi Knight (UA), Eldritch Knight, or the Echo Knight from Matt Mercer's (now canon!) book. The Wizard would either be an Abjurer, Evoker, War Wizard, or one of Chronurgist or Graviturgist from Mercer's aforementioned book.
Hey, love your series and Aqua is one of my FAVORITE characters from KH. Awesome seeing this as just your second video. This is not the first video I've seen of your series but I've only just started taking down notes so i can make and print out full character sheets or references for myself and my players (I love playing DnD but I mostly run games as DM so when I get to play it's mostly one-shots so I like trying to build or customize some famous fictional characers, Prince Vegeta was one of my favorites.) So i noticed something while trying to recreate this Aqua build, I don't know if your aware of this by now since this video is a bit old but well.... You can't make Str her dump state and multiclass. The rules in the PHB on multiclass states: To qualify for a new class, you must meet the ability score prerequisites for BOTH your CURRENT CLASS and your new one.... Normally this can be easily subverted by DM ruling (personally I would allow it) or just by rolling stats and readjusting accordingly. But on the rare chance that a player can do neither, then players have to do some changes to the starting Ability Scores. Felt like I had to point this out since one of the reasons i LOVE your series is that every character you build is Adventure League legal. Personally I don't care much for AL but the fact that you made all these characters with the strict rule of following the official source materiel and no homebrew makes these videos all the for enjoyable to watch and eventually play.
that's what i did actually lol. the first 7 levels were in AL then i threw her into rise of tiamat when i saw a chance (so i could properly test the build) though i did change her from redemption to devotion out of suggestion from friends in my discord server. besides... i was kind of worried a hesitance to things in combat-heavy mods/campaigns would cost her. but thats just me and my 2¢.
Would you be interested in possibly doing videos like this but for Baldurs Gate 3? It's like the big new game that's DnD themed and I'd love to see you make videos on "how to make x character" / and or Aqua specifically but in Baldurs Gate 3!
A couple tips for anyone trying to actually do this: You can't actually take levitate when he says you can, as it's a second level spell and you're only a level 2 sorcerer at that point, only able to take first level sorcerer spells. I'd take something else and then switch it for Levitate on the level afterwards. And Divine Soul sorcerers don't get the spells for their own alignment, they don't even get two, they get any one of the alignment based spells that the subclass lists depending on what sort of ancestry they have to give them their powers. It's perfectly possible for a lawful good character to get the evil spell for example. Personally I just went with Good for Cure Wounds, since it also effects what type of wings you get and it makes sense for Aqua to get light based holy powers (or well, it did) but you do in fact have options outside of the characters alignment.
You are correct! I've made a couple goofs with some of these builds, planning to do a corrections video once I've caught enough to justify making a whole video for it. Hopefully that takes awhile, but there are quite a few small rules and specifics I could miss. Thanks for pointing these out, I'll add them to the list!
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 I just found your video and it is great, but I thing I noticed is you said take Sunburst at level 14 but you can only take 7th level sorcerer and cleric spells and Sunburst is an 8th level spell. If the build had gone 5 Paladin, 15 Sorcerer it would be doable, otherwise you could swap it out for Crown of Stars, but its less AOE and more launch a ball of light at stuff
Really like these and am definitely going to try them out once I get the books neccessary to build them. One question though, is there any kind of text format for the builds that one could use as a reference as well?
Just wanted it to be known, a paladin serves an ideal or idea, not a god directly, just sometimes a god aligns with that in completeness, but truthfully it’s your willpower in a single ideal that grants you power as a paladin. This is why they aren’t just swords clerics and can actually fall from grace, where a cleric will fall out of favor with a god and loose there powers, a paladin turns into an oathbreaker when they fall from their cause.
I just finished KH3 (finally), so I'm revisiting all of your Kingdom Hearts videos. 😊 No, I didn't cry several times throughout the ending, and ESPECIALLY not at the Union. That's just silly. 👀
Honestly I would have gone for Blade Singer Wizard, and maybe concidered multiclassing into cleric for medium armor and healing. That way you could start off with the shield spell. Drow might also be a decent choice for race if you did it that way, gaining Drow weapon training for rapiers at level 1.
These old videos are a little bland, but still enjoyable; glad to see such improvement in your skills as a creator, you've clearly gotten better thanks to time and practice :3
i like this build a lot, but i feel like you really missed an opportunity by not throwing in 'abjuration wizard' in there with aqua's signature barriers/shields
Any one have any tips for building xion I was thinking, A Changeling Hexblade and Shadow Sorcerer. Would appreciate if you can help but understand if you are busy and can't. Thanks.
I had genuinely hoped it was a different Aqua, from God's Blessings the one and only "most useless goddess". I'll keep searching the playlist. cast NATURE'S BEAUTY!
As of the writing of this comment, Vanitas and the full Wayfinder Trio have Tulok builds. You know what this means we need now, Tulok? Wayfinder Hat Trick. Wayfinder Hat Trick! *Wayfinder Hat Trick! Wayfinder Hat Trick!* **WAYFINDER HAT TRICK!** This comment is going on every Wayfinder Trio video and on Vanitas. Because it’s relevant to all 4 of them.
Aqua and Riku are in a loving polyamorous relationship with Sora and nothing can change my mind on this. Aside from that irrelevant tidbit, great video!
“It’s not simple but, it can be clean”
I see what you did there 🤣
The beginning of the legendary Tulok D&D Kingdom Heats Saga.

A variant human paladin-sorcerer known for her strong heart and skill in combat.
And one of the best magic users in her class

This is a genius idea. And well made! I hope your channel blows up! :D
I feel like I just astral projected when I heard "Simple and Clean"
2:58 or just make Kingdom Hearts your god. Can just homebrew that it’s a god duality, specifically in terms of darkness and light.
From the FR setting, Selune is literally a primordial moon goddess of Light*, so that'd work too.
*most of the FR gods are assholes tho and so is she
I need to get the character sheet for this. Totally my next character.

Hi there I've been a fan of yours since the Iron man video, and would love to see your take on a Sylvanas Windrunner from World of Warcraft build.
I just began to watch your videos. They are good quality and very interesting to watch. I will be watching all of your content from now on.

@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Also, Rapier would be better than Scimitar, it's the strongest dex weapon, is 1-handed, and Aqua doesn't dual-weild
Super hyped because I might get to use this build in a new game with another build being used for a backstory character.
I thought this was going to be a more useless build when I initially looked at the title, but I was wrong
I did to cuz I thought it was a Konosuba build
Huh, interesting, I would have always assumed a flavored Hexblade for Aqua, but quite the interesting build : p
Reads Aqua-thinks Konosuba and cries because of pure hatred toward that character.
Video starts-pleasant surprise!
Really like these and am definitely going to try them out once I get the books neccessary to build them.

Not currently, but I could add that to the pipeline, that's a good idea.

I have never played DND before but this sounds like I would enjoy playing this especially cause I love aqua. I just need to learn to play DND XD
Any tips are appreciated
No better time to start! There are tons of ways to find an online group, and probably one with other newbies as well.
You sir, are a fucking genius. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

I also thought the same. The Bladesong is basically Spell Weaver lol

Aqua is my favorite KH character by a substantial margin, and seeing this video on your channel was what made me subscribe. #DecemberTulokRewatch
i like this build a lot, but i feel like you really missed an opportunity by not throwing in 'abjuration wizard' in there with aqua's signature barriers/shields
Can I make a big request that you remake this but show some of us... less intelligent beings how to write it all out?
I don’t think you can get levitate at sorcerer level 2? Sorcerer level 3 is the first opportunity to take second level sorcerer spells am I mistaken?
This is awesome, but there’s another KH Water-themed character I’d love to see. DEMYX TIME!
How would you make Kairi? I'm curious what your take on her would be.
Hey Tulok, can we get a Terra build?
Fitting that Aqua gets one of 5e's cheesiest builds. Also, why no Hexblade level to reduce MAD? You could easily fluff that as keyblade mojo.
I would suggest eldritch knight as it does the same thing with good health vs hexblade
She's pretty cool
Rip everyone who thought this was a Konosuba build
Any one have any tips for building xion I was thinking, A Changeling Hexblade and Shadow Sorcerer. Would appreciate if you can help but understand if you are busy and can't. Thanks.
I'd go Warforged for the Replica thing. Hexblade is dead on, couple sorcerer levels for generic black magic.
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Thank you so much.
WHERE THE NOCTIS LUCIS CAELUM BUILD @?
Adding him to a poll on the video for 3/26. Just for you. :)

She totally could've been a Half-Elf Bladesinger. Your build was great but a few levels in Bladesinger helps
Summary:
Redemption Paladin 6
Divine Soul Sorcerer 14
We need a broly build.
how to play aizen in dnd
I am not used to this format! help!
How about the other famous aqua?
Water genasi tempest cleric?
Still somehow useless
But tulok, why not post on Wednesdays… joins patreon.

YEAAAAHHHHHHH
Paladins do not have to select a god.
I thought it'd be aqua from konosuba
Cap is more of a paladin in my mind.
Cap doesn't use magic
Not konosubas Aqua... where are the useless characters
Interesting I thought you were going to go the celestial hex blade route
