Are you happy with your current wheel and tire cleaner? If so...what are you using?
I just ordered Auto Fanatic Professional Wheel Cleaning Foam. seems to be pretty decent as a wheel and tire cleaner and you get a good amount since you have to dilute it in a foamer. You should do a review on it!
I second that. Can you do a review on this Auto Fanatic Professional Wheel Cleaning Foam stuff?
I use Rage from Superior Detailing. Damn good stuff.🖒
@@chavezcustomdetailing9540 p&s brake buster. Please compare the two ✌️
Enjoying brake buster currently
Adams is extremely strong! Its the only product i have used that i would encourage folks to use gloves and eye protection. It literally burned my hands 4-5 min after contact
Perfect comparison video! This was precisely what I needed to make my decision. Much appreciated!
No contest to the brake buster from ps not only does. It work great but a gallon is 16 bucks from autogeek when they have the 25 percent disc going
Perfect timing I just got mine in today and you put a video out! Now I can’t wait to try it tomorrow. Looks like a great product.
I look forward to your video as well!👍
Thanks for reducing the volume on the parts of the video where you use the blower, makes the video much better to watch.
Another great video. Ironically my shipment for the new Adam's wheel and tire cleaner comes in tomorrow and I look forward to trying it out. This was a good preview. From what I have understood it is supposed to be stronger than the Tire and Rubber cleaner, like you had mentioned.
Unfortunately for me, I had recently purchased a fair amount of Tire and Rubber cleaner, so now I have over 5 gallons of the stuff to use before I can fully switch to the new stuff.
You are right about the nozzle. I did one tire to check it out and thought I was going to use half the bottle. The stuff does the job as you show though
Wow!!!!! That stuff works amazing. Thanks for the awesome video I really enjoy your informational series videos. Thank you
Great Great!!! Video- Best demo I have seen for this comparison!!! Thanks Apex
Adam's wheel and tire is my go to chemical for cleaning tires and wheels. P and S was falling short leaving behind dirty tires even if I scrubbed them endlessly. There are things Adam's sales that are great and can be bought at a reasonable price and others that are a little ridiculous. But you have to give credit to Adam's for always marketing to the DYI'er.
Looks good B ! I agree. I pick and choose from Adams. They can be pricey.
That was awesome !!! The cross comparison method
I have a gallon coming Saturday. I have the tire and rubber cleaner and the wheel cleaner in a gallon. I hope it’s a good all in one. I like when the brown falls off the tire.✊
Thank You Sir , been waiting on your opinion on this !
Great review...as usual!
Great stuff. It was like Pepsi dripping off my wheels and tires when I first used it.
Thanks for all the great content. If seems like I spend a lot of money when I watch your videos 😂
I hope not. Trying to weed out the pretenders for you guys. so you DONT waste money! 🙂
Thanks Brian. But most of it is from Angelwax. I watched one video and ended up ordering enigma, fifth element, all 3 compounds , and ti22 😂
Thanks Brotha for your video
Thanks for the video! Would you consider comparing this to McKee's Tire and Rubber Rejuvenator? I haven't used the Adam's product, but for the last few years I've been using McKee's Tire and Rubber Rejuvenator product for all of my customers and it has worked very well. I'm curious how this Adam's product compares against it. Thank you again for another great product demonstration!
I’ve never been able to bring myself to buy a dedicated wheel or tire clearer. When for me Super Clean seems to do the same work, I’m able to use it for pretty much any heavy duty cleaning I need to do. and is readily available in my area.
Adams wheel and tire cleaner works great!
Super clean for tires. Megs wheel brightener for rims. The megs smells like cancer but damn it works well and a gallon lasts me all season.
Not even close, Adams takes it! Nice video.
Great video as always!
New product from Chemical Guys, HydroSlick. Would like to see how it holds up to your torture tests!👍🏻👍🏻
Thank You!
Great review Brian I would still have to go with p&s just because Adams is nozzle is made so darn cheap you would think they would put some more think into that nozzle for a some what decent wheel an tire cleaner
LOL 😂 you had me dying when you were tapping on the bell 🔔. Thanks again for the content.
2 questions.
1)Will you review Autofinantics new wheel cleaner?
2) the new Griot Garage G9 polisher that seems to be replacing the G6
Thanks again, I have learned so much from you to take care of my car as well as friends and family
1. I will look into it.
2. Yes
Cheers!
Cut and dry...Adam’s takes the win
Awesome! I was waiting on your review of this before I pulled the trigger and bought some myself. Thanks for showing us what it will do! Did you see their new spray compound? I know you'll probably be reviewing that one soon.
I will look into the spray compound as well.
I actually don't use a dedicated wheel cleaner, maybe I should? I have just used a brush/mitt and soap for years with no complaints.
Also as far as rubber goes, I dilute Bleche White pretty low and it melts dirt off tires...and it's cheap. I know it can be pretty caustic but I feel with the dilution it does well.
Thanks Brian! BB is definitely cheaper, especially buying it by the gallon, but the Adam's obviously has more punch, which means even more dilution friendly. Does the Adam's have rust and corrosion inhibitors? Do you think it is rinseless wash friendly, meaning easy residue free removal without excessive water flushing? 👍👌✌
I've been using P&S and am happy with it. I always use my tire brush and it seems to work well. Maybe next time I'll try the Adams for comparison.
P&S is a joke compared to Adam's
@@pullingthestrings5233 And Adams is a joke compared to Bilt Hamber and NV. What's your point?
@@bdstansberry and Bilt Hamber is a joke compared to Ferrari wheel tire and engine bay cleaner.
@@pullingthestrings5233 Thank you for coming to show and tell. Your stories are valuable and I will take them to heart in all of my future detailing endeavors. Blessings to you.
I love this stuff! I use it undiluted in a $1 Walmart spray bottle. I was loyal to Brake Buster for quite a while... this is much stronger. The stock silver wheels on My 2004 Z06 haven't been as clean from any other cleaner besides Adam's. A little more $,some things are worth it.
what dilution ratio do you use?
@@cloudtoclear If You are asking Me,straight....not diluted.
Hi Brian! What is your dilution ratio when using the pump sprayer with the tire and wheel cleaner? Thank you
I haven't used the Adams but I for my personal car I exclusively have been using Brake Buster. It appears the Adam's is stronger but at double the price for a gallon. If you're like myself and detail your car once or twice a week I don't need anything super strong. Brake Buster at 5 to 1 in the IK Foamer is perfect for me.
For the pros I don't really know if they'd use either of these products....Definitely not the Adam's do to price.
If you're smart you buy Brake Buster by the gallon for around $22 or if you're really smart you buy it in the gallon when Autogeek is running a 25% off sale and it's around $15 a gallon. That's insanely cheap.
I use chemical guys diablo wheel gel currently but this stuff looks pretty good
reat detail, very well done.....you are indeed the Apex of car detailers :) Quick question....I have an IK 2 MULTI sprayer, can I use it for the Adam's Tire/Wheel Cleaner and if so at what dilution ratio? Also what about Carpro X ? Keep up the great work. Wishing you well for 2020.
I have a truck with factory vinyl strips on hood and vinyl graphics on side was wondering if you have made a video on best way and stuff ( like wax )to use without damaging them
Been using Sray Nine and Superclean. Seems like superclean might work a tad better...
Been using the Megs, which does a nice job. But I'm out. Think I'll give the Adams a try. BTW... If the Adams spray bottle is crappy... Then just pour it into a different spray bottle.
what dilution ratio did you use when using the pump sprayer?
Brian, how does the Adams wheel cleaner compare to the pro line Meguairs wheel brightener ? Thanks
Eagle one All wheel & tire cleaner
Woooo, another upload. Just a quick question, what is a easy to apply (spray on) sealant/detail spray that fills moderate swirls and provides high gloss and protection? And will you be testing aquabead further would love to see the torture test and comparison!!
By hand (microfiber applicator) or machine and wax pad.
Hey Brian !!
whats a good dilution ratio for maintaince detailing
Do we have to add some water in the foam spayer to have some suds or we can you it pure in the bottle?
What dilution did you use in the ik foamer and what color tip?
Great video Brian , was hoping you would cover this product. I to am a big adams fan but only certain products i continue to buy as my go to. This new wheel and tire cleaner was the debate of social media when i was brought out seeing as how it was similar to BB. As we can see tho it does seem to be stronger than BB but does that justify the cost? For now ill stick with BB overall. But as you called it their Sio2 Rinseless Wash and i assume you meant their Sio2 Waterless Wash , that is a favorite product of mine for its ease of use and performance. I use it was a WW, drying aid and just a detailer after every wash. It has some great performance when it comes to having water on the surface and it just flying off either driving or using a blower. You should do a video comparing the Ceramic Boost and the Sio2 WW. I really want to see a torture test of the Ceramic Boost since im not sure its that strong.
Adams makes very good products, but you definitely pay for it. I’m happy using P&S brake buster, plenty of strength for me diluted 2:1 in a spray bottle on dirty wheel and tires or even diluted down to 5:1 in my foamer for maintenance washes. I would think the majority of people are agitating when they clean there wheels and tires, so strength becomes less of an issue. For me stronger is not always better, as I maintain our vehicles and they just don’t get that hammered so cleaning them with an overly aggressive cleaner all the time is just unnecessary for me. Also once you factor in price P&S is the clear winner. 1 gallon makes anywhere between 2-6 gallons for me once diluted and works well.
Keep up the great vids.
T Hutch buy in gallon and dilute. You’ll spend less than any cheap product in an auto parts store
Midwest Mopars absolutely, that’s definitely what I do.
What brush did you use? or did he use everyone?
Does the product require that you rinse the wheel prior to application?
Would you or did you dilute this down any to make a 16oz last longer?
Is there a control tire with just water application and agitation?
Adams foamer works well with Adams Wheel and Tire Cleaner.
Are you still using ADG products or have you found more cost effective alternatives?
Hope u can review the new chemical guys hydro slick hyper wax.
Coming up next.
May I suggest a scoreboard where you can rank products in their category to hang on your wall for us to see? I.e Top Gear's reasonable car laps.
Hmmmh...good idea
I have pvd wheels? Will this be okay?
What's the difference between this and the blue wheel cleaner?
After seeing it in your videos I finally picked up a Shinemaster M550 rotary. I noticed the unit makes a bit of a buzzing noise any time the pad is in contact no matter how light the pressure. Very apparent lifting and placing that there is a change in noise. Have you noticed anything like this? Trying to decide if I should send it back. Have put about an hour on it so it's not just a break in thing. Thanks for all you do!
Always start and power down polishers with the pad on the panel. I forget myself at times ...it is easier on all polishers.
Hi did u dilute it with water?
This product seems to be a little more aggressive than P&S, which would is fine for situations that neglected but for the price I will stick with P&S for now.
Thanks Brian 👍✌️🇺🇸
Would it work on plastidipped wheels?
Is it safe on ceramic coated wheels?
Thanks for the review. Might pick this up after I run out of Tire and Rubber cleaner. Still have MultiX I can use for Tires/Wheels however...hmm
Did you say you still use Adam's new ceramic waterless wash? How do you like that as a drying aid / QD opposed to Carpro Elixer? I love Elixer but 20 bucks is 20 bucks..
FYI: I use it as a drying aid and it works well but you may need to go over it a second time as it fully dries it tends to haze almost like a wax. It's well worth the effort imho. I usually cut it 50/50 with distilled water to keep the high cost down. Still works great as a drying aid at that strength.
Hey brian could you do a video for the adams ceramic boost 2.0? Trying to decide to continue with that or go with technicians choice when I run out if the adams
Leonard Hatzell i Love Adam’s but I cannot use the ceramic boost. I’ve bought both versions but all it does is leave long term streaks no matter how I apply it. It works on white cars but nothing else
Midwest Mopars really, I personally haven’t had the streaking issue on my red car with the adams but i did have that issue with the carpro reload spray. My car is ceramic coated with the carpro c quartz uk 3.0 and for their own product to the leave streaks I was pretty disappointed
Great video Brian, but i don't think this product works ant better than Simple Green on wheels and tires.
Would you recommend dressing the tire with 303 aerospace protectant after cleaning with this?
Absolutely.
Eagle one for plasti dipped wheels.
Yeah but how does it stack up against TW Seal and Shine? haha
When using the P&S vs. Adam's I noticed the sprayers are different. The 16 oz Brake Buster comes with the same one you get from Adam's there, a sprayer that actually foams better when I initially used compared to that "mist" type sprayer....IMHO💡
Any other trigger would be better than the one Adam's sent along with my bottle.
@@apexdetail85 the trigger that came with my 16 oz Brake Buster, had to get this size because the gallon was out of stock at the time, actually foamed up pretty well for what it was. I'm sure the Adam's is good because I just watched the video but using an IK for both products might have netted a more even result IMO.
Thanks for the video! Can anyone confirm of Adam's is safe on ceramic coated rims?
I have the same question
Just purchased this for $9.99 on Amazon.
Can this stuff be diluted?
I get it. but whats this compare to some dish washing soap and some elbow greese?
The difference...most do not want to use elbow grease.
Brian, is this more effective than a megs wheel brightener? Or would choose the Adam's product because its non acid
Both are correct.🙂
@@apexdetail85 wow... now i have buy some ..thanks
Let’s say you buy Meguiars the wheel brightener by the gallon for economical reasons, does this or anything you have give an edge over that product with their degreaser for the tires
The megs wheel brighter plus a degreaser is better in my trials than anything else .The Adams cleaner is a good 2 in 1 cleaner that will save time and give descent results . IMO the results don’t warrant the price for this stuff .
👆
If you really wanted to get the tires clean, there must be some form of agitation. Yes the Adams is stronger and cleans better but it cant be diluted and price is a bit higher. For a business owner like me, using BB and a little agitation is the best way to go.
I wonder adams TWC can be diluted like P&S brake buster or not😂😂
P&S brake buster >>>>
Can you please do a review on another Adams product? They have a new liquid compound that sounds very interesting. I love how in depth you get with each review and video you do! Thank you
Tyler hernandez sounds like the optimum spray compound that’s been out for a long time
@@austinbentley2760 ya supposedly it's alot better than that. I figured it was worth trying out. If Brian doesn't try it out, I'll buy one and try out when they open their new shop in Orange county this month.
Tyler hernandez who claimed that it’s way better than optimums? Adam fanboys?
@@r3ktfahdle120 just read some reviews. Most likely fanboys, that's why I asked for a real person to review it.
I want to dilute it for the foam spray or what is the ratio
5:1 to 3:1 depending.
I use Black Magic Bleche Wite and right now a gallon is $13.50 on Amazon. I also always let it set and then agitate then rinse off. I am going to have to get an electric blower to dry off the tires though!
I did buy some Adams tire and wheel cle#ner and I thought I was going to use a whole bottle on my car. That makes it costly because I live on a dirt road am always cleaning my tires.
Is it possible to dilute the Adams cleaner and have it still work OK?
Thank you for the review.
That stuff was magic when Westley's owned it. You'd spray it on and before you even finished the dirt would be running off the tire. But, BM bought it like 10 years ago and changed the formula and weakened it substantially.
I still use it and at that price point it’s wonderful! You really have to agitate every tire cleaner you use.
And that is why the spray bottle is so crappy, bet they sell a gazillion foaming applicators. Awsome marketing to put an excellent product in a rubbish spray bottle then offer an effective remedy at a cost.
Love your vids from Down Under. 👁👃👁
Adams vs sonax?
Is the P&S diluted? Haven’t seen anything on their label recommending however Adam’s seems to recommend diluting theirs 5:1 which makes a better value for me.
Both were full strength for the video.
Did you notice any level of "rust inhibitors" as P&S BB has? Your test included cleaning properties only.
I have recieved no info on that so testing on my own.
@@apexdetail85 P&S BB has rust inibitors so it helps prevent the brake rotors from that mild rust film you get when washing tire and wheels.
What products you recommend from angelwax? I have a local distributor near me
Enigma AIO, the polishes, Perfect Polish for sure.
7:40 yeah but isn't Adams at full strength & the P&S din't you diluted?
Thanks, but no thanks. I can get 2 gallons of Super Clean or 3-4 gallons of Purple Power for the same price as that tiny little bottle. But I think I will pick up one of those foaming pump sprayers.
Si02 Rinseless Wash? I don't think Adam's makes that.
It’s a waterless wash
Why is your Jaguar flag backwards in the background? Always wondered 😁
Inside joke...pretty much testing my OCD.
Still prefer Nanoskin wheel and tire cleaner. 13$ a gallon!
Eduardo Mijangos damn, $65 by the time it lands in Aus.
Eduardo Mijangos can it go in a foamer? Thx
I'm kind of disappointed with the performance of brake buster on tires for anything but maintenance. Maybe this could act like a "sledgehammer" for when they are really bad. Other than that I am really enjoying it.
Nanoskin non acid wheel cleaner.
It's awesome
Daniel Sandozequi can it go in a foamer?
How about giving us something that does not break the bank account. I use Nufinish and seems to do all other do. However I have a big concern on all these tire cleaners when it comes to tire life and when they tell me it insures longevity of the tire life and no possibility of dry rotting from the use of such products then may be I would think about such products come on guys we have gone from a $150 detail job to now at times of way over $2000
Marolex yet ?
one or two weeks. I will do a video right before launch.
Purple Power, Walmart $5 a gallon or there about.
Yes but not good on polished aluminum.
@@markshane2686 Why not? Does it not clean, it shouldn't dull it, its not wheel acid. I never really see polished aluminum any more, I deal with clients with modern cars, clear coated wheels pretty much on all of them.
@@watagump1 It will clean it but it will make polished aluminum look hazy and white, and you will have to polish it off. A lot of after market wheels are polished aluminum with no clear coat.
THIS IS THE EXACT SAME THING AS P & S BRAKE BUSTER, DONT GET FOOLED FOLKS !!!!!
Have you tried both?
Who thinks Brian should order a mystery bucket from Adam's? 😂😂😂
