A friend of mine used to be in the police, but only for a short time. he told me he left because of what he had to deal with, like a young girl who had hung herself in her flat and things like that, things you do not hear about or see, dealing with the aftermath. he also told me, don't bother trying to get away from a police officer in a car, they can drive very quick indeed!! the police cushion us from the true reality of life...
Brilliant video! Really highlights well what our officers do best. Unfortunately, like the video says, the people who are so actively anti-police won't see this video, nor will the people in government cutting policing budgets.
It is a very demanding and exhausting service.Every problem is different,but the same...save a life. Safety and comfort of police 💙 work #MentalHealth 🧠 #Life #Security #Protect
Phew! It's about time you stepped up and said "NO!". Better late than never. Now that you've begun to make a stand. Don't go shrinking. There's an awful lot of Police Officers depending on you to stand for them. Let's put the past lack behind us and move forward. This is dipping your toe in the water. You can depend on them, they want a voice. They need a voice. Be their voice!
This made me cry and it take alot to make me cry ALOT and as soon as I saw the title I just cried remembering a relationship I had with this girl I never knew how much I loved her until it was gone
Jilly C Currie. Because the tories are hellbent on privatisation. In order to save Police numbers they are forced to outsource other aspects of the job to private companies, including core functions such as custody and investigation etc. This in turn generates profit for the private sector and lines the pockets of the shareholders, many of whom are either sat in or funding he government! The Police force is a public service, not an opportunity for profit!!
When the fire department shows up on a call everyone is happy. When a police officer shows up on a call I guarantee there is at least one person who is not happy.
My ex gf made up domestic assault charges against me after I caught her running around with another guy. The cops were more than happy to arrest me, stating it as "mandatory" arrest in a domestic assault case. Then the courts refused to drop it as part of a "no drop" policy in domestic assault cases. I was forced to hire a lawyer, spend thousands to defend myself, and they had zero evidence other than her testimony. Even though she lied about the whole ordeal, she faced no penalties, and no responsibility to reimburse me for the massive amounts of money I had to spend. Sorry, but in a system that blatantly admits that I was guilty until proven innocent, the cops are my enemy as well as the judicial system.
Daniel Hinkle police arrest and investigate on SUSPICION, the CPS will have seen enough evidence to meet their threshold and you are entitled to free and independent legal representation throughout this.
Nonsense there is no such thing as mandatory arrest policy nor a non drop policy. As without suspicion of an offence or enough evidence to meet the threshold test both would be unlawful. Won’t even get past the custody Sgt!
@@gfield1607 You need to read up on Virginia state law specifically. Some states do indeed have such policy. The charges against me were eventually dropped, despite her initial claim that i pushed her down, got on top of her, and proceeded to try choking her to death until she was able to fight me off of her. This was without a single scratch, bruise or other mark on her, and not a single mark of any sort on me as well.
It may be because I've lived in the US all my life, but that domestic violence call de-esculated waaaaaay too quickly. More on topic, everyone that says the world would be better without cops should watch this and rethink it.
Very powerful I agree, and this is why we need constables to protect and help us.. not pick spoils and play the role of judges, jury , prosecution and executioner to protect financial interest and banks. 17,000 officers are have left probably because they know policing isn't what they signed up for.
tewrgh the majority of operational officers would have been younger than 10, or not even born back then... Most senior officers would have been teenagers. Hardly anyone who policed back then ISN'T retired today. Shut up.
Is the same actor playing both the guy jumping off of the bridge and the cop who is trying to talk him out of it? And the abused young woman and the cop telling her she doesn't have to put up with it, they look like twins too. I'm white, but suddenly I feel like a person of color. I mean all of a sudden all white people look alike to me.
This video is really triggering and exploiting stereotypes. I agree that the police force are under-appreciated and they need more funding (I am anti-austerity!!) but I am disgusted that this video doesn't have a trigger warning and shows some really distressing scenes.
I agree with you the police are under appreciated but when videos like this are shown there does neee to be a trigger warning because people like myself suffer with mental health issues and etc and things like this are triggering for us

You never know what you’ve got. Until it’s gone
First class video, good work!
Amazing video
Why are there so many cuts in the Police Force?? Or is it like the Nursing Profession?? I truelly don't understand this Government.

Thank you for answering my question, this is absolutely appalling.

It descalated because the police take a different approach in Britain, with the main goal being to avoid harm rather then inflict it on bad guys.

Should have thought about that when you were cracking miners' heads for Thatcher.
