I think I found a faster way to farm gil (TLDR I didn't, but it's pretty close).. you don't have to start missions over and over on 3-5-4.. farm the force of nature item (50,000 gil) from the enemy named "Enforcer" steal and run away and start over.. EDIT.. I did the math and doing rolling pins I got 56 in 15 min and doing the force of nature I got 40 in 15 min if there is a way to guarantee which fight you get my way would be way faster but the RNG of starting fights and escaping hoping to get the enforcer just wastes too much time and there's only 2 different fights in the stage which is why I hoped it would be faster but sadly no
I'm not that far yet, but I found a decent way of earning Gil early. Unlock M10-2-1 by finding Tonberry in M6-1-5. Obtain the Mog's Amulet in the Sector 7 Shop. You obtain the Sector 7 Shop in M4-4-3. I'd play M10-2-1 till I get to M10-2-3 because that where I found the most Tonberries, and that's where you'd get the magic pot DMW.(Killing 2 birds with one stone.) Anyway, each Tonberry gives you 500 Gil, but with the Mogs Amulet you'll obtain Power Wrists with each kill. I can battle anywhere between 2-4 of them per encounter. That's 10-20k Gil per battle. I managed to get 500,000 Gil in about 20ish minutes. It's not as convenient as the video's, but that's what you get when you wanna grind for Gil early.
Since the jeweled ring isn't required: if you don't have quite a high enough amount of mp you could always use soul of thamasa instead for the mp cost negation
Thank you for this. I was just watching the video and dreading having to spend the time and resources to build MP+ gear. Soul of Thamasa didn't even cross my mind because I only use magic for curaga and have never had a problem with running out of MP. Much appreciated.

I find a way to get 742,500 Gils in about 30 min to an hour of just get and sell crystals gloves. The set up: so, you will need a few things for the accessory you will need Mog's Amulet and Wizard Bracelet. Why? because Mog's Amulet will give you item and Wizard Bracelet will give you Hp from some elements. how to get the Wizard Bracelet is either the Sec.7 Shop or go to M7-5-6. how to get Mog's Amulet is M8-4-4 I think that's the only way to get it, I will update this Onces I know for sure. For Materia you need Blast wave, and any Ice Materia mastered will be great. To get Blast Wave Materia, you can be created using Materia Fusion by fusing together mastered Assault Twister and mastered Graviga to create Blast Wave. It is also a reward for completing Mission 3-3-6 or in a chest during Missions 7-5-5 and 7-6-4. the other Materia's is up to you, but you can use what I had what is. Blast wave, Hell Blizzaga, Status Ward, Electrote (I never us it), Atk up, and Hp Up+. the accessory I has was Brutal, Wizard Bracelet, Mog's Amulet, and Genji Shield. Where to get some Gils!!?? Go to M8-6-4 and run around to get any monster there but, the Scissors is your top priority because they drop crystals gloves, and they sell for 7,500. you should be fine since you have Mog's Amulet and Wizard Bracelet so they can't kill you with elements, but you might have to watch out for the twin attack if you like lvl 50 and lower. however, blast wave will easy kill them in like one it two hits. the other monster is weak to ice, but you can use blast wave on them too. Get you Gils. So, whenever you get 99 crystals gloves sell them and you get 742,500 Gils, I did this for an hour, and I got in total 2,103,256 Gil. the only thing you can sell is the SPR mako stone, yah it only 5 Gil but its dose adds up. Not only that but it's also a good way to lvl up Zack too. I was lvl 24 when I started and now, I'm lvl 76, mind you I also did some other stuff to lvl myself up like that, I started on Ch 5 and I'm still there to get the rest of the Genji stuff.
thanks for this one, I'm doing a low level challenge and prefer to farm this over the Tonberry one! I'm even using the accessory that doubles the drops. M9-5-3 can be interesting to with myrtil bangle drops of the treestars but that more a side farm as the main farm is SP in this mission
I appreciate these videos but I wish you'd explain where to get some of these items/materia/missions because I'm in chapter 7 and have done every mission that's come my way and I don't even have the category for most of the missions you use for farming.
i have a video dedicated to where to get all items and materia used across my guides, and if you dont even have the missions by chapter 7 then you have likely missed some of the missable missions

How many times did you retake this video until you got an Item Mugger lvl 5 DMW on top of the steal? I mean come on, nobody is THAT lucky juuuusst when they are making a guide video on this method.
@@Primalliquid92 the speed do make a difference against enemies that can one shot you or just cause a non-negligible chunk of your HP - either take the hit OR cancel your mug mid-wind-up. besides youll be grinding, so might as well speed up the process. yes? it doesnt have to be with 100 stats. do that later.
ouch erm, you get a steal materia from the main storyline and theres 1 steal in missions and i think 1 mug in missions aswell, you lose those 3 though and your completely out of luck

SP master its technically faster, darkness is more hands off for if you have 2 monitors and wanna watch something while doing it, darkness is only worth it though if you do have heike soul
enemies dont level with you, its just levels dont give you as much in terms of stats in this game, it more comes from equipment and materia. And jay, i got an advance copy thanks to SE

gravity magic to get them down super low then keep dodging using costly punch to finish them off, its a REALLY tedious fight though

Where do you get the materia like the electrocute? I finished the game very quickly not knowing a lot about the game so now I’m in New Game+
He said in another video that Electrocute is a Mastered Tri-Thundaga combined with a Mastered Libra in the Materia Fusion.
Or do a ton of missions you will get them eventually.

why not use Steal? its faster, and you dont need the damage that mugs gives anyway.
speed difference is neglagible and its easier to put stats on mug early than it is to put them on steal

using gil to get SP is a terrible choice in this game, but if you really want to then buy dualcast materia and convert that

"not looking at enemy spawn location" is bogus. it's proximity based combat starts to the "arena"
and sight based, easy to test and plenty of evidence from datamined psp version, so no its not bogus.
