Man i love Yuna, but this run of Final fantasy 10-2 where we see if we can beat the whole game using only yuna was really something else, there were so many difficulties and problems its unreal, not to mention we had to "nearly" 100% the entire game!

God, Dark Knight is such an amazing Dress Sphere. It's probably my favorite Sphere from the original version of FFX-2.

I still don't understand how he was able to solo with Dark Knight. I thought the Dark Knight was pretty strong in my playthrough but I still needed my teammates. I don't think I would have been able to solo with Dark Knight. Can anybody explain what special things he did to achieve this?
I played this game so long ago. Some of this was almost like watching a brand new game, I never played before.
As sook as you got floral (which I had actually forgotten about cuz i havent played this in over a decade) I knew this challenge would be gg great job.
Yuna's special dress sphere can not only solo every superboss in the game, but it was my preferred way of beating them as a kid.
Oh sure Daph, but if it was Bahamut in the hot springs I'm sure you'd be fine with it 😂

@@Primalliquid92 I actually use the Floral Dress sphere to beat that desert super boss lol. It was my go to dress-sphere in difficult situations lol.

You really need to a "no stack" challenge on world of final fantasy , i dont no if its possible 👀
This is random but at 27:02 the cutscene shows the magus sisters appearing with their respective glyphs. Now each glyph has a symbol in Yevon Script that represents a certain element. The symbol for Sandy represents fire, the symbol for Cindy represents water, and the symbol for Mindy represents lightning. The colors of each glyph corresponds with each element. What's weird is that in ffx, when you go to the remiem temple, for some reason, Sandy's and Cindy's glyph colors are reversed, when you see them glow on the entrance to the temple. The colors are correct during their summoning sequence however
FF X-2 .... What a love-hate-relationship.
It had some really cool elements to it and all in all it was a really fun game.
But then... there was the story bosses... it felt like while the team got stronger the bosses got weaker the more you progressed.
And the final story boss... such a damn joke. The monsters on the way to him were harder than the boss. He be dead in 3 minutes and not even a tiny bit of a threat.
I kept hoping it was just phase 1 or something... till the credits rolled. I actually got REALLY mad about it the first time i beat the game.
Man, I love X-2, I just wish it wasn't so fucking cryptic if you want to do 100%.
As a child I did like 5 playthroughs but never got 100% because of how damn specific FFX-2 is

ahhhh.... FF10-2.... a lot of people didnt like this game. personally, i really enjoyed it. i love the FF5 job system and this was pretty close to it with some nice additions.
"we cant get mascot as we cannot 100% the game" well... thats not... entirely accurate. you can obtain a mascot dress sphere from the fiend arena. i think it's something like the youth league cup? ..... but i guess with solo Yuna that would be harder to do than just doing a NG+ run for the last %
Floral is great. you technically get 3 party members now and it's got decent fire power and healing. still sucks compared to some regular dress spheres or having all three in the party but eh, challenge run dictates it i suppose.

Hmm interesting so i was suprise you neglect mirnva plat in chapter 2 you get if you speak in chapter 1 with the hypnoll before you talk with Toblin, it give exp zero but 100 magic on top turbo magic if i remember correclte, a lot of speed runner using it with wring to do max damage with black mage, Also garment grid i was surpise yu never go into it and their passiv that are very benefical. Of course against Salamander the black amge straqgety does not work. But we have different option, lady luck 100% crit passive plus fast anaimation is an option.
Gun mage is extremly good in chapte r5 annilation for 48mp ignoreing magie defesn and is one of the strongest attack after moogl beam and cactur gun.
key for sucess was not worth passing up mascot unless you never planed to spend much time with side content.
Some garment grid are useful espically in combination with black mage for example you can turn Yuna into a casting machine with ultima.
I mean that just a few things that came to me
I will be hones tseeing the special dress spehre getting some love was great. So something you should know that you have less stats when you use the 2 nod dress spehre, you get max stat with 6 nods. So that just some min maxing in the end. The thing is Yuna dressspehre suffer from no aoe attack, both rikku and pain have their special being AOE which make things less harder with them.
So accessrior do not get carry over when you go into your dressspehre so stats boosting etc do not count for them for what ever god forsaken reason.
So yeah amazing video so i am sad no side boss was done for the extra suffering hehe.

I was about 12 when I played FFX and had no idea about the Solaris weapons and the sphere grid rework with monster farm drops.
I had thought I had played the hell out of the game and that the dark aeons are just money checks for Zanmato. And I thought Omega Weapon were the ultimate boss which I wasn't able to beat because I also didn't get Auto-Life or Break HP Limit.
How naiv I was.

The fiend capture and arena is amazing but it’s also kinda crazy how much it trivializes the main game.
Well... the main game WAS pretty trivial. There are some normal monsters that were harder to fight than most story bosses. Even back then in the original release version.

Primal, you missed the ball on this one. Why not buy a kazoo and then record yourself singing 1000 Words? Don't think you sound good? Just equip a Songstress DressSphere and get Shinra to back you up. He knows EVERYTHING.

As far as I remember Floral gets stronger the more nodes you activate before swapping to it so I am surprised you didn't try a a board with more nodes first.

I honestly thought when you said about playing through the game with only Yuna, I thought you were going to just say no and end the video. That would have made me chuckle 🤣🤣
As a kid when the game came out I actually finished the game with the special dress sphere. Riku and Paine were barely lv10 or something at the end of the game, while Yuna was around lv50. Not because I intended a challenge run. It was because my brain capacity was that low as a kid and this was the easiest way to beat stuff, lol.

the funny thing i find is using the super spheres was basically how i did my first playthrough. after that ive always kinda refused to use them only because they really negated alot of challenges with many bosses. especially cause it turns 3 into 9 basically and the mega attacks can be insanely strong once your stats and levels get high.
I'm just a kid 😅 how am I supposed to use like buttons and comments an such adult stuff that is was beyond me 🤷🏻♂️

I mean you CAN beat the nodes on Vegnagun's body, it just takes an ungodly amount of time, even with all three girls in the pt. Iirc each node has about 300k HP and sky high defenses.
