As sook as you got floral (which I had actually forgotten about cuz i havent played this in over a decade) I knew this challenge would be gg great job. Yuna's special dress sphere can not only solo every superboss in the game, but it was my preferred way of beating them as a kid.
This is random but at 27:02 the cutscene shows the magus sisters appearing with their respective glyphs. Now each glyph has a symbol in Yevon Script that represents a certain element. The symbol for Sandy represents fire, the symbol for Cindy represents water, and the symbol for Mindy represents lightning. The colors of each glyph corresponds with each element. What's weird is that in ffx, when you go to the remiem temple, for some reason, Sandy's and Cindy's glyph colors are reversed, when you see them glow on the entrance to the temple. The colors are correct during their summoning sequence however
I still don't understand how he was able to solo with Dark Knight. I thought the Dark Knight was pretty strong in my playthrough but I still needed my teammates. I don't think I would have been able to solo with Dark Knight. Can anybody explain what special things he did to achieve this?
Well... the main game WAS pretty trivial. There are some normal monsters that were harder to fight than most story bosses. Even back then in the original release version.
Here I thought he was using the Bevelle Labyrinth to grind but I only played the first version of the game on PS4 once and never knew there was this much cheese in it :P

I actually think it could have been cool to include some of the extra content (side quests etc you mentioned near the end). the funny thing i find is using the super spheres was basically how i did my first playthrough. after that ive always kinda refused to use them only because they really negated alot of challenges with many bosses. especially cause it turns 3 into 9 basically and the mega attacks can be insanely strong once your stats and levels get high.
i really need to actually get around to playing the steam version of X2. only played the american ps2 version, and its got a LOT of stuff missing from the later versions
Damn the Pistils are living their best life thanks to this Yuna only run.🎉 I rarely used the dress sphere in my runs, as its not really good compared to 3 cute gurls who slap the hell outta the enemies
As a kid when the game came out I actually finished the game with the special dress sphere. Riku and Paine were barely lv10 or something at the end of the game, while Yuna was around lv50. Not because I intended a challenge run. It was because my brain capacity was that low as a kid and this was the easiest way to beat stuff, lol.
I was about 12 when I played FFX and had no idea about the Solaris weapons and the sphere grid rework with monster farm drops. I had thought I had played the hell out of the game and that the dark aeons are just money checks for Zanmato. And I thought Omega Weapon were the ultimate boss which I wasn't able to beat because I also didn't get Auto-Life or Break HP Limit. How naiv I was.
Was hoping you wouldn't use the super mode (which is basically a full party). Nice video though. I tried not to use those spheres because they felt way too powerful when I played X-2.

As far as I remember Floral gets stronger the more nodes you activate before swapping to it so I am surprised you didn't try a a board with more nodes first.
Man, I love X-2, I just wish it wasn't so fucking cryptic if you want to do 100%. As a child I did like 5 playthroughs but never got 100% because of how damn specific FFX-2 is
Why did you have encounters off sometimes? Would it not be beneficial to keep encounters on so you could get EXP from the battles to make everything easier?
Not that it makes much of a difference, but I like the rule on some solo character speedruns for FFIX where instead of the solo character killing the other party members, the rule is the solo character can't make an action until the others have suicided, and the others can't make any actions other than attack themselves.
Do the video analytics show where in the timeline people click like? Or am I safe with nobody knowing I click like at the hot springs scene? Oh no, I rumbled myself!

It's my favorite of the final fantasies and how I actually was introduced to you, but I'm not 100% on the direction they went with it in 10-2 and the events of the (is it a manga?) Again sorry to bother you with the query I just would love to know your opinions on how they went about a mutually favored series. I personally wish they kept it more serious, but I understand my opinion is just that.

I've never done the creature stuff in either X or X-2, always felt it was a tedious grind and ignored it, so hearing the girls being called weak repeatedly had me very confused, also don't even think creature was available on PS2 and I think when I bought the remaster I just played it the same as I would the og.
I mean you CAN beat the nodes on Vegnagun's body, it just takes an ungodly amount of time, even with all three girls in the pt. Iirc each node has about 300k HP and sky high defenses.

it took me over 10 years and many many tries and give ups but I finally 100% the trophies on ffx-2

For speed, exp from random mobs is actually terrible. If I need levels I'll use creature capture fights as its way faster

Didn't they patch the Cat Nip exploit? You used to be able to use Trigger Happy and get 9999 per shot.
