Modifying my Trak Racer sim rig for drifting

Seat time is key! I put together this sim rig a while back in hopes that I wouldn't get quite as rusty in between drift events.
I was happy with the overall setup BUUUT this Trak Racer TR8 left a lot to be desired. Specifically the mount for the shifter was REALLY flimsy. This was amplied when you mounted the handbrake in vertical orientation (there was no other option) to the side of the shifter. So, I decided to modify the frame and make a much sturdier mount for these items.
If I were to start over I'd likely go with a different frame/rig that was entirely made from extrusion. But this should get the job done!
