As seen on TV no doubt, the Hell is the training that's personal training selection is the hardest thing any individual will ever be put through if you don't really really want it don't even bother. Escape and evasion is a exercise on the abilities of the individual in a survival scenario were you have to survive 24 hrs without food and try to evade non friendly combatants if you are captured you will be imprisoned and questioned the UK does not do torture but as a captured escapee you will without doubt be sleep depreciated and physically exhausted it doesn't take much to push the prisoner just that little bit more.
Any member of the Services can apply to the SAS be that Army, Navy or Air Force fact is British Army Soldiers find the training more to what they are used to therefore more successful in passing selection.
@Ry3mc Mark 12 is a USN designation for a modified AR15/M16. Outside of that specific SOPMOD modified weapon configuration, it is in fact called an M16.
Watch the rest of the documentary. They are trained to be in rooms with flashbangs so it has little effect on them. That combined with the filters on the eye parts of the gasmask reduce the effect of a flashbang a lot. Its more the surprise of one which distracts you, but if you have been in a room with one hundreds of times it will barely effect you. Thats why they run in at the same time.
It's more efficient that way. If you throw the flashbang, let it go off, then enter the room, you give the enemy time to react. By going in with the flashbang, you don't give them time to react.
