The mask is one of the best respirators you can use. It is not just a mask it is a Gas mask, protects against gases and flashes as he mentioned. Using A visor though helpful is not as effective.

not a special forces person but i can tell you that in IPSC you can easily hit a target size of a head with great speed and accuracy to a distance up to 25m. Watch people shoot steel plates which pretty much resemble the size and you get an idea of what is possible with proper training. All the best

I know SAS often uses double tap to the head instead going 2 to the body and then to the head. This is the most efficient shot, to hit the head, however it's a great possibility of a miss shot. Where as if you hit the chest (center body mass fist) you shock the attaker and it gives you a split second to hit the head. Can anyone elaborate on this head first double tap SAS uses. Depends on the individual behind the firearm, you get traindd to aim for the chest (bigger target area) and two shots to the chest would most cases kill. But in the instance if they are wearing body armor it would knock them down, so if they go down and try to get up wit would be quickly followed by a shot to the head. Dont be mistaken the SAS and SASR can easily get a good grouping on a targets head
@1gun1shot1kill Thing is , regular SEALS are awesome but they are nowhere near the Tier 1 Elite team SEAL Team 6 aka DEVGRU which IS on par with the SBS. Normal SEAL teams are , well I don't know what to compare them to because they are better than RMC.
I think the point of having the two eyelets was to make it so the enemy could only see a smaller target to shoot at,so by the time they realise then the sas will have the first shot off hehhehehe

Sure, the US Special Forces (SEALs, Green Berets, etc) aren't AS good as the SAS, but they're still damn good and they're perfecting the art of warfare. The SAS are among the best in the world, but they're not perfect either.

Nothing against the scots but if you look at the nationality of all the people that have written books, done interviews, got mentioned by any of the people that did these books you have about 10% out of in excess of 150 men, I know thats only a fraction of the men who've served in the regiment however over 150 men is enough to make a fairly accurate figure, give or take a few percent, its hardly gonna be wrong by as much as 30%
