    This is a return to fusion 360 after two years away. I have already compled these first 16 tutorials, two years ago but have returned to do them again and it is like starting from scratch all over, but I still remember how good you are at getting a difficult subject into bite size pieces I can follow. Already started to jump ahead, so I must have remembered something. Thank you so much for what your doing Arnie

      Good on you Martin. It’s a bit like riding a bicycle. The balancing comes back to you and all the little things you did without thinking. Click through to the channel home page and see the other tutorials you might find challenging. The bodies and components tutorials are also at beginner level and then there are some intermediate ones if you have the inclination. ruclips.net/p/PLFCTgdiT5-kLBNvrkUNy63Gu1tWdRuKkr&si=zvP8yVm_WPVK4Mtc

    I'm just getting started - have struggled to figure out the program on my own so I watched and followed the first video without any difficulty whatsoever! You made it a piece of cake! About to start the Preferences and then Part 2 videos. Thank you for how well you explain these things.

    This video alone is reason enough to subscribe and follow yours. I've lost count of the number of times I have had trouble following video's when the settings don't match. I trained in several different Cad packages. The very first thing every teacher did was review settings, period. I'm retired now and find your videos very informative. Thanks 👍✌🖖🥃

      Thanks Mark, I'm glad this is working for you. They do need revising and I'm only up to number 6 with the revisions so you'll no doubt see the imperfections. However, I think you've picked the right horse and I'm sure you'll find Fusion 360 to be the best option these days.

    Thank you for your efforts as I appreciate what you're doing for the Fusion 360 community. Top notch and explained very well. Your earlier videos had better audio quality. This video's audio seems muffled, but the lack of household noises in the background are a plus. I encourage you to continue with making a difference in the Fusion 360 community. You may not be the most well known channel for Fusion 360, but I think you're one of the best yet to be noticed by the mainstream.

      Thanks Wild Bill. I'll work on the sound and I'll be working with the community for some time to come. Maybe I'll be famous one day but your encouragement is enough for now.

    Hello, I am brand new to any CAD programming. I downloaded your PDF, however your preference settings are not included. I hope I have been able to follow your on-line instructions properly. So far I have gone through 4 of your beginner tutorials. Some several times. Your instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I believe my version of Fusion 360 (for personal use) is different from yours as some of the menu options are different. Thank you for your time in creating these tutorials!

    Hello Arnold, Very nice informative video. Just watched the first one and created the first dwg. in the series. I use CAD at work but the version I use is limited to 2D. I use it to create cutter paths for CNC machinery. I have been looking to get in 3D printing and discovered that Fusion 360 has that capability built in. Thanks and keep them coming.
    Regards

      Good on you Steve, I'm sure you'll find Fusion 360 is a really good tool to add to your toolbox. It's world class CAD and has a big manufacturing section with a lot of functionality being added all the time. At this stage the 3D printing part is a bit rudimentary and the usual slicers are probably a better choice at the moment but the really important thing about Fusion 360 is the ability to model parts and assemblies. Whole products and then the ability to download from Thingiverse or Grabcad and modify anything to suit yourself.

    Hi Arnold, firstly thanks for the many hours that obviously go into your work, as a beginner I really appreciate your channel. Your Fusion setup seems to auto-apply the texture (steel?) to your model as soon as you click finish sketch, I have set my preferences the same as yours but mine is not doing this. Can you explain how to set this feature? Cheers.

    • @ArnoldRowntreeTeachesFusion360
      @ArnoldRowntreeTeachesFusion360  2 года назад

      Yes DO, I've covered this in one of my intermediate tutorials, ruclips.net/video/GuP_DKpmucE/видео.html This is jumping ahead a fair way, don't stress if you can't follow what I'm doing with 'Isolate' and hiding other parts, it might show you enough to do what you want to do, but at least you'll know that you would get there if you worked through the tutorials in order.
