I think being able to set your spawn point at med beds is a good thing but giving it limits like only able to spawn a certain amount of times depending on the tier of bed. It really opens up gameplay for players who aren’t to keen on FPS missions but gives them some breathing room especially for solo players.
I believe the Medical Spawn beds should have a resource attached like medical supplies. NURSA would get 3 resources or three spawns... the Cutty Red, as much as it can carry in resources of medical supplies. And so on for the larger ships. This way it costs for instant spawn. This would balance it out and would be way more fair. Think about using up medical supplies and storing medical supplies in the cargo space.
Has anyone tested the FPS missions? Most of the FPS missions in crusader seem to be broken like the repel raid on Orson NPCs never spawn in. Amd some times NPCs don't spawn in the defend and retrieve confidential materials. And when the NPCs do spawn. The boss doesn't have the tablet on him with the code. Just wondering if they fixed that in the 3.23.1 patch

At first blush I'm not a fan of the respawn changes. However, we kind of need to see it in action first. I would point out that it is unlikely players will be keeping much in the way of extra equipment in the CxR. It seems to me that ship inventory (SI) is greatly reduced in 3.23 and if I am not mistaken SI is going away, perhaps sooner rather than later. When ship inventory does go away players will be left with very little storage in the CxR, you can get under suit in crew storage but little else. I tried to put a light helmet and under suit in together but it wouldn't fit. Food for thought. 🙂
This way of respawing de -values ships with normal beds greatly. Maybe cig should make it so you could only respawn if a buddy pressed a button on the medical console. So if your buddy dies, you have to fight your way back to the ship to help him respawn. This incentivices teamwork and balances fights so they don't become a horde mode (especcially in PVP battles).

The punishment for respawns should be clone degradation and eventual permadeath. Making the penalty a simple inconvenience would be far less a deterrent to spamming backspace.

Not expecting the Apollo as modularity is not developped past the retaliator(?), and it is a modularity required ahip, witht he two bays needing to be selected. But it is the end point goal of my only CCU chain.
If we follow lore and gameplay targets, the respawn should be linked to replacement body parts, that would drive both legal and illegal side and have a hard limit on number of debilitating unjuries. And it also leaves it open for bionics.
Great update! Always appreciated. Without knowing what the final version of a gameplay feature is supposed to be, it's really hard to know if each iteration is going to help the planned mechanic or not. Med Bed spawn will be fun for a while at least
Since 3.23 you can no longer transfer components for several of your ships at once, because even the largest ships in the game can't contain even smallest S1 drives and shields. Imagine having to upgrade 3-5 ships and having to fly them to the shop one by one. What a crappy patch.
@@AllThingsKen they're purposely not allowing that because you're supposed to manually look for them and explore also you can quite easily find stations and such on the map.. it's a pretty obvious marker.
Less punishment due to player death? Everything about the game wants to kill the player. Eat every 3 hours or die. Bump your ship on anything and die. Ride a vehicle and die. Park your ship, and it might blow away in the wind. Land on a planet and run into some wild animals and die. Lol.
The medical spawn can be good if we have a list of places to spawn, and each place have a timer, something like ark. On the city the timer being one minute, on the Ursa being 30 minutes, on the carrack being 10 minutes, and it also would resolve the spam camp and would not kill the medical gameplay

Do this till your ship in full then fly to Port Tressler to sell the gear (helmets will make the most).
If you want guns and med supplies do the same thing at Buds Growery on Euterpe
Do this until you have enough to rent an Andromeda for 24 hours and about 50k in reserve
Take the Andromeda to Shubin Mining SM0-18 on Microtech and spend the 50k on gold, selling it at new Babbage. if you have issue with gold being out of stock use the same server hop you used with armor.
Once you've reached about 1.5-2mil credits doing this, switch to selling RMC, buy at Pickers Field or Rappell and sell at Area 18.
If you can wait, purchase a Connie Taurus first making sure you have about 2 mil in reserve for cargo, then buy the Prospector.
The punishment for respawns should be clone degradation and eventual permadeath. Making the penalty a simple inconvenience would be far less a deterrent to spamming backspace.
backspacing won't exist forever, secondly that is the most recent version of death of a spaceman there is no permadeath that has been basically retconned for years now, you lose rep and so on, but it basically moves to a next of kin type of idea.
Does anyone know if we can still earn the Hornet MK II military upgrade after the 3.23.1 patch? Or does the xeno threat event end?
Yes, you still can. Xeno threat has been extended past fleet week. You still have time.
what happen to the Zues cl did it not get out in this pacth
Conjecture…about the bed spawns
Gold standard Raven. Finally!
The Firebird looks hot
The hangars and cargo elevators is something I really want. Seeing the Polaris finally will be nice.
I hope CIG manage to fix the missing HUD to the 325a / 300 series, in the .1 patch. Im not sure about Master modes, feels like something that does not belong in a world with this technology. It's a game but I do not like the MM at all. But I have not much experiance with it so far.
weee hooooo Roadmap update 4.0 Q3
3:08 Marketing department run Barter Town now. Also, I'd be ok with it under a few stipulations. Timers are a must and some kind of resource should be required for the process to work. For a C8R it should be longer cooldown than a Carrack, but both should have a cooldown. A C8R could have 1 use before reloading the equipment, and a Carrack many more, but not unlimited.
They fix the ROC yet? :)
Since 3.23 you can no longer transfer components for several of your ships at once, because even the largest ships in the game can't contain even smallest S1 drives and shields. Imagine having to upgrade 3-5 ships and having to fly them to the shop one by one. What a crappy patch.
Some players got into the expo hall and saw the Polaris in there, not the interior, just parked up in there :)
I'm new to the game.. why can't i see targets and stations as targets unless in quantum? Its painful
yeah I hate this too. They need to let us have some type of waypoint on locations without quantum.
@@AllThingsKen they're purposely not allowing that because you're supposed to manually look for them and explore also you can quite easily find stations and such on the map.. it's a pretty obvious marker.
@@yulfine1688 Its not purposely done and im not sure you know what im talking about.

Why is this comment "edited"? Did you forget the birthday cake the first time?
@@BradAhrens yes and we all know how important the birthday cake is........

where is the tobi link
should be up now, not sure why my video descriptions go missing.
Less punishment due to player death? Everything about the game wants to kill the player. Eat every 3 hours or die. Bump your ship on anything and die. Ride a vehicle and die. Park your ship, and it might blow away in the wind. Land on a planet and run into some wild animals and die. Lol.
Get gud
@@Hex2906 Or ignore the game.
Skill issue
@@dallasscandling6329 Or just having more fun playing Elite Dangerous. Ships and SRVs are more durable and more fun than Star Shitizen.
@@RayHorn5128088056Ignore it louder! Think a few folks in back didn't hear you!
For a few months after citcon I actually believed they could keep a schedule. But they’re ruining that currently
The medical spawn can be good if we have a list of places to spawn, and each place have a timer, something like ark.
On the city the timer being one minute, on the Ursa being 30 minutes, on the carrack being 10 minutes, and it also would resolve the spam camp and would not kill the medical gameplay
They do really need to do something to offset this a bit.
Thats if they do make this a permanent thing. Which I doubt will be permanent.
For now I can live with it. But it does really ruin medical rescues.
@@festersmith8352 its probably permanent. Nobody wants to die and take 40 mins to get back into action. Its still a video game at the end of the day and doing that will just make somebody not want to play. I quit my gaming session every time I die. Im not about to spawn in new babbage and take 30-40 mins just to get back to my body.
@@AllThingsKen Save time by setting your respawn at a space station.
And if this is permanent, than its going to change the way so many many things have been planned and designed.
Just be cautious with your expectations, and it will save you disappointment.
If its permanent, than no doubt many will be happy. Others will not.
Its the internet 50/50 are happy/unhappy with things.
I'm a pessimist by nature, and am often ready for trouble and not disappointed.
Spare tire in my car is always full. Unlike so many optimists who have called me to rescue them when they get a flat tire.
@@festersmith8352 the space station thing is still not good because i can still possibly be on the other side of the system
@@AllThingsKen we also have bases and other things coming in, that's sort of the point of the game, right now its just some time wasting at best, and if you're dumb enough to die on the other side of the system not sure what to tell you.. i can understand a bug or something but it doesn't even take 40 mins its at max of like 15 mins if a large slow ship
Eh, MM just takes the fun out of flying around.
I haven't really noticed any difference. Push a button to go faster.
Cycling to SCM has some really good brakes though!
The shields not being up adds some excitement.
My only complaint is defaulting to QTM mode, when switching to NAV Mode.
I haven't had much experience in combat with it. I can tell I'm really gonna miss auto gimbals. Can't hit the broad side of a HH. Gonna have to gain some skill and get gud.
Tried 3.23.1 today. Lunch the tutorial. First step of the tutorial is to grab "F" a bottle a water. Bottle clips away and is 1km away from me. Log out.
Cant wait to they get rid of master modes
Rewarding planning and skill yet we have master modes that did flatten the skill part to: buy a bigger ship.
that was talked about and MM is going to be tweaked to value skill but that need balance as silly little ship wouldn't be able to destroy a bloody hammerhead ffs
MM this is the launch basic version its barebones, how braindead are you people they've talked about this numerous times already and already know the issues which they're working on, it fixed a ton of problems the old system had and created new ones that's just how reality works until they continue tweaking the system which according to them is also easier to do than the previous system
Yea ok. Everything looks so good and runs so smooth on all these creators' cinema type adverts. Do these creators work with CIG marketing dept. They all use the same adverts, then when you get in the real game ist a broken bug filled mess just like it always has been. Talk about drinking the Kool aide
Its the only kool-aid that offers such variety in flavor.
If no one else is going to make it, then we must wait on those who are willing to try.
works fine for most of us.. there's no special build they run or anything in fact if you bother watching most content creators when they play you'll find a ton of bugs unless they edit them out, some will edit certain things but otherwise you have something else going on.
