There are so many different types of hoyas out there, but the Krimson Queen, in my opinion, is timeless. She is soooo content with you Fern and this is truly plant goals
Oh how I wish I could just call you up and tell you to try Worm Castings!!!! About a month ago I gave all my Hoyas (37 and counting!) a fresh sprinkle of Worm Castings on top of their soul snd did a top water and re-potted 4 and put a layer of Worm Castings under the root balls! Over half of my Hoyas are either blooming or have peduncles at various stages!!! Many that have never bloomed for me! Maybe it's just a coincidence......I think it's the worms!! I hope your gorgeous Queen gives you lots of blooms this season!!!
I think it would be super cute if you thrifted a wooden stool and put her on that by herself and maybe placed beside the space of the Milsbo and the wall?
I would get a heavy duty ceiling hook, anchor it in and hang it in that south window! I have several pots hanging from the ceiling. As long as the hook is anchored it is crazy sturdy!
From Doug at Vermont Hoyas: “Many people complain that they have a tough time getting their carnosas to bloom. They need sufficient light and will bloom starting at around three years of age.” But as far as Hoyas, many things can trigger them to bloom. It can be temperature (season), light intensity and hours of the daylight (season). Certain things will make the buds blast, like not enough fertilizer or underwatering.
I think the krimson queen would look awesome if you keep it where it is and train it to vine along the wall over the door frame! Maybe even place her on the wall shelf if it’s sturdy enough. Or, another idea 👀 I also potted my krimson queen and princess together, and it makes a BEAUTIFUL pot! Maybe you could put one on each side and let their vines intertwine ☺️
Krimson Queen is just one of the best hoyas, imo. Easy care, gorgeous foliage, and probably the only variegated plant that doesn't stress me out when it gives all-white leaves.
She will get even bigger!! I just repotted my Hoya Sunrise which is pretty big and since then she bloomed! She has many many peduncles that are currently in bloom!
Oh wow!!!! Thank you for showing us the potential of the Krimson Queen. I have a small one from a cutting. I love the look of the leaves. Hoyas are so easy caring. They can go for long periods without watering!!!! Really love the pink leaves on the ends. So stunning!!!!
I thought need to repot my Krimson Queen too! It’s about 3 years old and loves its location. She is blooming, so maybe I don’t need to repot. I’ve got it going around a small trellis form and it’s starting to look more like a nest and less cute.
She's beautiful! Would you consider doing a video about what fertilizers you use when/with what plants? I know you do osmocote, your DIY mix, etc. but it's hard to keep track (for us relative newbies) of what goes where for what purpose and when... Love your videos--you're easily my favorite youtube channel!
Honestly, it's hard for me to keep track of too 😂 I feel like I'm just kind of using up bits and bobs. I'm just finishing up some old products and then I'm excited to get into a more regular routine, so I will definitely be sharing that in the future!
She's a beauty Fern! Truly gorgeous 👌🏼 I think she looks great there but if you have a spot closer to where she was hanging it would help her adjust to the repot and hopefully not skip a beat 🫶
I LOVE this plant every time you show her! ❤❤❤❤ she looks great on the cabinet I like the change in the part of the song on the outtro- can't remember if I've already commented on a diff video where I noticed it
She's so freaking beautiful Fern DAM ❤😊nice to see you been so busy with all my seedlings of Morning glory sun flowers and annuals and it so soothing and Potato too❤😊
You could make a shelf for her and hang her higher over the cabinet. Two brackets, and an 8x8 piece of wood or shelving (Hime Depot). She is gorgeous, now I want one!
I just passed up a big pot of Hoya at Walmart. Then I find your video! I have at least 25 Hoya varieties, but now I want to go back for that plant! Such a struggle! Cannot wait to put them outside again! 😊🪴💕
I started using msu fertilizer and in three months I've had four hoyas bloom! I'm waiting to see if my queen blooms! Your krimson queen single plantedly got me obsessed with hoyas. The all white leaves were the thing that put it over the top. I am super grateful for your Crimson queen.!
Mine is 3 years old, has never bloomed but she is beautiful. Your Queen reminds me of your Greta, another amazing plant. So Glad she popped out so easily for you 😂
This is the Hoya that started it all for me. Didn’t get the fuss until Fern pulled this beauty out years ago. Flash forward, I’m a Hoya head. Anyway I have a monster K. Queen of my own now. Convinced they rarely bloom even supremely mature. But yes. The icon needs her own video.
Dear Fern, the Hoya there on the cabinet is beautiful! And the place is perfect as Hoyas don´t need direct sun. Love the Lady there! Kisses to Olive. XX
If you get a shelf or steel wall hanger and make sure it's mounted in at least 1 stud, it would be able to support her new weight. I had the same issue with a massive H. Chelsea I repotted last summer!
I have a similar sized Krimson queen. She flowered once I put her in the brightest indirect light possible (outside in Australia) and lightened up on the watering. Unfortunately they need to struggle a bit to bloom.
I hate RUclips sometimes😤😤😤, it never notifies me in time that you upload a video if it's not because it entered the app, I don't know, and I have the notifications active.. But I'm here and so happy to see a new video from you!!
Fern! This was so fun! I am in the exact situation and was debating a repot. 5 year old Hoya Krimson Queen. Has had one peduncle for probably a year. Doing nothing. I decided not to repot. I recently started giving her Fox Farm Tiger Bloom and her peduncle is developing buds! Seeing yours in her new pot makes me still want to also do that. They are such gorgeous Hoyas!
I wonder if you need a different fertilizer? I know that Growth technology has their foliage focus one and then they also have a complete one that’s more for flowering. So I always feed my Hoyas with the flowering fertilizer. I grow in semi Hydro so that might be different.
Waiting for my crimson queen to get a big as Ferns!! She's really been taking off in the last year, but we have a LONG way to go to catch up with this queen! 👸
I’ve owned this plant 3 times, from 3 different places, and they’ve all croaked on me 😭 literally have no idea why this 1 plant doesn’t want to live for me. She’s so pretty 👑
THE QUEEN IS REPOTTING HER QUEEN 🥹🤍💖💚
😁😁😁 hahaha! 💞
Such a sweet comment💖
I've had a hoya for over 30 years... I've noticed that every time i give mine a trim, she flowers :)
ooooo 👀 maybe a haircut is next on the list for her lol!

I like her on the cabinet! She is so visible there, which is great
I like her on the cabinet too.😊
Same, me too!
I think it would be super cute if you thrifted a wooden stool and put her on that by herself and maybe placed beside the space of the Milsbo and the wall?
I second this idea! A queen needs her throne! oh my goodness how stunning would she be in a vintage peacock chair 😍
I would get a heavy duty ceiling hook, anchor it in and hang it in that south window! I have several pots hanging from the ceiling. As long as the hook is anchored it is crazy sturdy!
I’m thinking about it, or a wall bracket since the ceilings are so high. We shall see 👀
Hello Fern, your krimson queen is what made me start falling in love with hoyas, i just have 2 in my collection but i cant wait to have more of them
awww that is so lovely to hear 🥺🫶💞
I am total agreement. Beautiful is an understatement, in my opinion

Your Krimson Queen is the plant that made me get into hoya years ago now 😍 she’s so stunning and I hope she blooms for you some day!

That's so exciting!
Honestly you gave that queen a throne with that place of honor!
When repotting, mix the bios into the potting media for quicker root absorption. Sprinkle on top to routine fertilization.
I think she looks wonderful on top! She’s in all of her glory!
WOW! She is huge! Beautiful! 🌱🌿☘️🍀🍃
Yes once u repot her she will mine was like that i repot her to a bigger pot and she have like 9 peduncle 😊
drill a hole in the ceiling .. there are special bolts to carry weights.
( but she looks great on that shelf also 👌 )
Oh wow!!!! Thank you for showing us the potential of the Krimson Queen. I have a small one from a cutting. I love the look of the leaves. Hoyas are so easy caring. They can go for long periods without watering!!!! Really love the pink leaves on the ends. So stunning!!!!
This is my favorite Hoya. I love them so much, even if they're basic.
I think she’s cute on the cabinet!
This is my favorite of your videos. She's magnificent and you're so gentle and attentive to her. She's very fortunate to have such a loving plant mom.
aww this is so kind, thank you ☺️
Don't think I've ever seen such a large hoya, or more beautiful one. I'm sure she'll be happy after her "Spa Day! "
I thought need to repot my Krimson Queen too! It’s about 3 years old and loves its location. She is blooming, so maybe I don’t need to repot. I’ve got it going around a small trellis form and it’s starting to look more like a nest and less cute.

And thank you for your kind words 🥺🥺 really appreciate you watching!
Such a beautiful Crimson Queen! She’s really loving life 💚
OMG I bet so many of us got excited when we saw this upload! Krimson Queen goals! Your Queen is why I have it on my wishlist. Beautiful!!
She's a beauty Fern! Truly gorgeous 👌🏼 I think she looks great there but if you have a spot closer to where she was hanging it would help her adjust to the repot and hopefully not skip a beat 🫶

You look so happy repotting your Hoya in a new pretty pot. I’m happy for you🪴
I just passed up a big pot of Hoya at Walmart. Then I find your video! I have at least 25 Hoya varieties, but now I want to go back for that plant! Such a struggle! Cannot wait to put them outside again! 😊🪴💕

Omg she is a beauty. I think this will be my birthday present to myself. How have you kept her so happy for 5 years.
I love it up there!! Unless it blocks your view of other plants!!❤
The time has come! We have all been waiting for this moment! May she bloom for you soon!
I think she looks great up there! A royal throne for the queen 👸
Mine is 3 years old, has never bloomed but she is beautiful. Your Queen reminds me of your Greta, another amazing plant. So Glad she popped out so easily for you 😂

She is stunning!! She will be happiest in super bright light and mine always bloom when I put them outside for the summer 💜
The queen 👑 is beautiful ❤️ I hope she continues to grow well for you and gives you blooms this year 😊
What a beautiful hoya! Thanks for sharing Fern!
Thank you for watching! 💚
She is a gorgeous specimen . Congrats on an easy repot! We know how things change and go south when repotting larger plants 🎉
I don’t even like Hoya that much 😅 but fern posted so I have to tune in 🥰🥰
Your Queen looks great on the cabinet! 😍 Have you tried centering her so she hangs evenly off both sides. Cascading beauty!! 💚🌱
I think she looks great up on the shelf!😍
That plant is absolutely STUNNING. Plant goals.
Brilliant. That plant loves you. Wow , just can't believe the growth.
She's sooo beautiful 💖🪴💚
If you get a shelf or steel wall hanger and make sure it's mounted in at least 1 stud, it would be able to support her new weight. I had the same issue with a massive H. Chelsea I repotted last summer!
i think they flower when they’re stressed lol after each repot they always bloom😂
YESSS SO EXCITED. I hope she is so happy that she blooms this summer! 😍
RIGHT! my fingers are so crossed!
I think it’s a perfect spot. She is so pretty ❤️.
Oh she is the most stunning queen xx
It looks good put on top your cabinet!
The plant looks good there
I have a similar sized Krimson queen. She flowered once I put her in the brightest indirect light possible (outside in Australia) and lightened up on the watering. Unfortunately they need to struggle a bit to bloom.
I’d say swap the queen and the palidaflorum!! The queen would fill out the middle of the shelf and cabinet!
Gorgeous ❤ 🍃🌱 she’s thriving !!
Love it! She's like the perfect plant!
I have a krimson princess I just repotted into a 12” pot!!! She’s so big!!
Been waiting for years for this video!😂❤️
I can’t believe how big she is now, wow!! What a stunner. She would look amazing in a wallegrow under your soltechs 😍
She’s so pretty 🤩
So precious🥰 Maybe a plant stand would be perfect?😉
For the FIRST time is crazy, Fern 👀 I’m interested to see how this goes (yes I am just starting)
I think she looks great up there!
Such a stunning plant 😍😍😍😍😍 yours is so huge!! 🤯
Thank you!! 😊
She cute 🤩
She can get longer and help cover that spot on your wall 😂😘
I think it looks great up there or get a heavy duty hook and rod. I love the hoja queen
I hate RUclips sometimes😤😤😤, it never notifies me in time that you upload a video if it's not because it entered the app, I don't know, and I have the notifications active.. But I'm here and so happy to see a new video from you!!
What a fantastic plant. Never had one but im off to garden centre to get one ... beautiful
16:40 she looks great up there!
When I repotted a heavy plant that went on my curtain rod I had to change out the wall anchor. A heavy duty anchor works for massive plants.
Oh that’s so funny that ours have been on the same wavelength haha!! I’ll have to up her fertilizer perhaps 👀
She is such a beauty!
I think she would look great on the wall where you have the ruso pole mount(idk how you spell it). But I’m guessing you save that spot for poles🙈
I’m in the find-another-spot camp, she’s massive and very beautiful… it might be a shock but if you put it outside she might bloom real quick… 😊
I rerally like her on the cabinet!!! 😍
You could do a Harli G and get a floor lamp and use it as her plant stand! I need one she’s so pretty 😍
Uuuh that's an awesome Idea! I am too scared to drill a hole in my ceiling and that sounds like a great Option ❤
Love you Fern. I didn't see many drainage holes on the queens new pot. May be why she's so heavy too. Keep an eye on that beauty!
I'd probably put a hook in the wall to still have it in the window also because of the sunlight ☀️
Lovely job! I can’t wait to get this one 😊.
She is huge ✨
Looking beautiful!!
💚🌵🍀🌿💚

thank you so much :)
I’ve owned this plant 3 times, from 3 different places, and they’ve all croaked on me 😭 literally have no idea why this 1 plant doesn’t want to live for me. She’s so pretty 👑
Oh nooo 🥺 rip
I like her on the cabinet 😊
Such a beautiful Queen. I like it on top of the cabinet 😊🪴
A wishlist plant for me. Unfortunately I have never seen it in stores around here 😊
Yours is gorgeous 😍
Mine bloomed when I put it under 12 hours of grow light. It hasn’t stopped and blooms constantly ever since for about a year.
I love Hoya so much ❤❤❤
Drill a Hole in the ceiling in front of the window? I think it’s too dark on top of the cabinet if you want it to flower.
