Please oh please get someone who's proven. Everyone that they keep mentioning have failed at managing. Why can't they go for someone who has succeeded in their post and has some kind of knowledge in technique, not someone who's going to line up and play the same way every game.

I absolutely love Henry & Viera but they are stubborn characters sans the CV. They'd alienate half of the players on the team, many of who are terribly overrated, by demanding a great deal from them. The best manager for the job is Tuchel, who'd alienate the entire team but at least he has gravitas. Our way of playing will not change unles we have better midfielders and defenders & a goalie who doesn't panic everytime he has the ball.

Craig burley and Stevie, are just insufferable tbh. Craig talking about Viera’s time at Crystal Palace ending with the team not scoring, is shallow considering the opposition/run of games they had at that time.
Roy came in at the best time, with those games, anyone would’ve won games with Crystal Palace.

The USMNT has talent, but no heart. The players liked Berhalter for the wrong reasons, and I'm starting to think it wasn't entirely Klinsmann's fault he lost the locker room. They have no heart. This is the elephant in the room. And until U.S. Soccer addresses this issue, and hires a manager who's going to inspire heart in these soft, underperforming, tattooed millionaires, it's just going to be more of the same.

Viera and Henry are both bad coaches. They both have records of failure. But neither has the kind of pull to tell Garber to take a hike on the WC roster selection. Thus, they tick the boxes of 'overseas coach' (sort of) and easy for MLSSF to control. They will be good little stooges and cash their paychecks.

Why is this the choice? One former French Superstar with very little managerial experience, and what there is leaves mych to be desired, vs another former French superstar whose managerial experience so far has been clise to an abject disaster.

Not being realistic with choices you need a coach who can develop players and bring a culture. In youth you need kill pay to play and go to merit to play! Most of better players are discovered from impoverished backline world. As football is a way out soccer can be a way since it’s the highest paying sport at highest levels. Starts either building a culture. What’s marsh done at Canada is outstanding. But than again this coaching to hurt Canada has better players. Don’t believe me. Canada made fourth round of copa they won thier group last time to qualify for World Cup which incidentally included Mexico and United States of America. When you begin to put in consistent performances you simply are a better team. Tbh No one saw Canada making the jump but has in world class football. This has really put emphasis on Mexico to revamp its system not simply changing managers they revamped the whole system. Wasn’t the United States but Canada. Remember Canada has won the group Mexico was second USA third. Despite USA winning most of games against Mexico they had too miscues against other teams. Canada had few blemishes they were so consistent. They gave Argentina outside of thier most difficult match outside of uraguay and uraguay gives so few scoring chances per match. Whoever you choose they need to do thier job without interference from federation. Everyone in uss federation needs sacking as well!
