      @@ChadLubinski ya you can, i wasnt sure why you chose to fly out of reno, you can take yarts right to the fresno airport.

    Thanks for sharing this with us. I did not get picked in August so tried again for Sept and finally got picked to start on Sept. 15. I think I will pass and try again next summer, starting in the lottery mid July.

      Just check everyday. The lottery is a waste of time I got my permit hella easy by checking for canceled permits. It took me like 2 days to get one

    PS. Any thoughts about flying into LA or SF from CT? I heard several hikers say it was very affordable that way.

      That’s a great question! I guess it depends on where you start (Yosemite or Horseshoe Meadows). It’d likely be a lot easier to get some kind of ground transpo from LA or SF to Yosemite, but if you’re going NOBO, Horseshoe Meadows is on the complete other side of the Sierra and I don’t think there’s many roads there !

      @@ChadLubinski you can get to lone pine from LA, the ESTA pickups up at the metrolink station in lancaster. But it'd be easier to go to reno
