For real though, how many teal objects can you spot in this video
Are the keycaps teal or light blue? I heard someone said they are light blue but now you asked that question... are the keycaps teal?
That is one fine looking keyboard
Oh man, the left hand side numpad is so trippy lol, I'd be so slow using that. The split on this board is so cool, I bet that would do the trick to fix my improper typing. Often times my pointer fingers are going across the center line and pressing keys that the other hand should really be pressing, like for example my left hand is the one that always presses the Y key instead of my right hand. Clean video as always JD!
It was definitely a slow start...like you said I crossed my typing fingers occasionally. Pressing the B key was a pain, I kept tapping the middle of the desk. BUT once I got used to it, this was easily one of my most consistent boards in terms of typing speed and efficiency. The left numpad is a bit tricky, I think I should've reversed the numpad to better suit the left side. Anyways thanks Danny! I'll be watching your GPU scammer video soon, and try not to let it boil my blood with what those people are doing
Thank you so much for the shoutout JD! I'm thrilled to see that slim boi cable with your SP-111!
Your cinematography is always so stunning man, I loved the video! 💜
Of course man, your choice of material and color matched this theme to a T. Thank you for helping making this possible! The slim coils look good next to this beefcake of a board.
Thank you so much!! The products on screen do half the work 😅
If a few years ago you would have told me that I would take an interest in custom built mechanical keyboards I probably would have asked what's a mechanical keyboard. Oh how times have changed ^^
For real! I used to think keyboards were so boring before I found out they could be built and customized. Every keyboard fel, looked, and sounded the same. Now it's all different.
is there a keyboard that also puts the arrows and the insert/home/button to the left ?
I may have seen one before, but I can't name anything off the top of my head. That would be a unicorn you're looking for
Have you check the Theseus 75. That one is sick, 2 knobs, LEMO connectors, Hotswap.....
End game for me. Love southpaw.
**Actually a Bluetooth version would be my endgame but otherwise..
Same dude, I always fill out an IC with southpaw options
So weird it didn’t come mirrored numpad after going through all this trouble
400$ ???? I looked at this board and said i would gladly pay 200 euros for a board like this, then I went to the website and saw the real price ... its ridiculous
Yeah this was a very small run. Not a lot of kits were made so it was gonna be expensive from the get go
Bring the design back !
Maaaaan... I'm not much of a window-shopper, but I feel like a lady right now who just spotted the most perfect set of shoes she can never have. Discovered this board by happenstance thanks to a random comment in a video about split keyboards, and I almost wish I hadn't lol. I don't even really know the first thing about manually assembling a keyboard, and yet I find myself drooling at the prospect of owning one of these beauties.
Ah well, it's just too bad that I'm a couple years too late it seems, not that I exactly have the money to afford one at the moment even if that wasn't the case, heh. Great video though!
How'd you cut the sorbothane so cleanly?
Amazing keyboard! And the sound is also amazing
Thank you! Definitely can be used in a work environment
@@jdtechgear yes definetely, I also tend to agree with your conclusion, I might like the stiffness of some designs, but I love me some clackiness too, like I have akko cs pinks on a simple tray mount modded with orings just to give it a little bounce while retaining that hard feedback, and I fell in love with that low force clackiness of a light linear on a stiff board.
@@MrStarpeto yes exactly! It sometimes depends on the mood. But the feel of a stiff feedback linear with a clacky sound profile almost provides a feeling of gliding. If that makes sense? I have a build coming soon using some Ajazz Peach switches, kinda similar to Akko pinks
@@jdtechgear definitely makes sense, it's the exact reason why I fell in love with light linears, the possibility of a fast and effortless bottom out, which, with the right board, gives you a sound feedback like none others
@@MrStarpeto it really does. Which makes tray mount and integrated plate designs seem a lot better for what they are. I have a Tofu96 with Gat Ink Yellows on a brass plate and it's a guilty pleasure, since a lot people aren't fans of tray mount
