➡️ After looking at what Emirates First Class offer or doesn't offer on shorter routes - and after a 14-hour visit to the First Class Lounge in Dubai, we're just about to board our Emirates Airbus A380 in First Class for a 14-hour long flight across the Middle East, Europe and the North Atlantic to Toronto.
What is on offer that is not available on short routes in First Class? What does the menu look like? Are there special drinks and wines? What amenities are there? How is the bed? How long can you take a shower? And are you more beautiful afterward?

By the way, thank you for the sacrifice of not taking a hotel room. Years ago I was British Airways Gold and always made a point of making good use of the lounge. As I only billed for time in front of the customer, I thought of the lounge time as my free time and treat.

Well, thank you. Everything has its own moment. I love to travel on a low cost carrier too, sometimes. It's all great. Travel in style is wonderful, of course, as long as it is with a big heart for others and not too self-centered. (that's what I sometimes miss with unrealistic photos on media such as Instagram)

Another excellent report Christian. You know , I must have watched many hundreds of videos in Emirates First Class over the last few years, but it is still a treat and something I really enjoy and look forward to. I have been eagerly awaiting this one of yours ! Thank you for your honesty; yes, there are a few little quirks that could be improved on but over all it is still one of the best and they are very generous in some ways. I still think they have the best cellar in the sky by far, and the shower and on board bars are fantastic A380 additions. Thank you for all the hours you have spent editing and putting so much detail in an easy to watch and entertaining manner. Looking forward to your next video.

Thanks for the video, great channel! So question about amenity kits on short haul / medium haul flights. What is Bangkok to Dubai considered? What would I get on a day flight (9AM departure) and what would I get on a night flight (2AM departure). Thanks in advance!

Thanks for reaching out. Well, that's the medium haul version to Bangkok - I think I say it in the report: according to the crew you'll get an amenity kit upon request (not in business class)
At 2am, however, there's a chance that they don't do caviar service. I took a flight Dubai-Munich once in First ( English report on my original channel www.RUclips.com/c/TravelSingFly), which left at 3am, and is about the same flight duration. Have a look at my report about that! Very interesting how different it can be - the daytime trip back has the full meal service

Horrende, you can always call Emirates, and they really can tell you what service you'll get. They're unusually well trained at the callcenter.

(TBH, it wasn't so easy. I had major problems with my microphones which decided to stop working at the beginning of the trip - I had to do every take about 10-20 times. So in the end I felt more like just drinking the whole bottle of port, if it wasn't for my viewers...)

This is TravelSingFly, where products are really looked at in detail. - I talk about the actual prices, in this and also other first-class reviews, I even give a comparison of caviar qualities. I also compare between airlines. And caviar that's offered on airlines is always way less than the 200 USD you state!
Can you keep the Mother of pearl spoon? It’s so lovely.

And much much more, as you've probably seen in this report - wines and spirits that are way more exclusive than Dom (which already is pretty exclusive)
Christine just because the wine is expensive doesn't mean it's good. One of my favourite Aussie wines is $13 aud 😍
I agree! Sometimes it's great food or even wines that are fantastic and don't cost much.
And sometimes pretty experience stuff doesn't taste amazing. That's why I tried everything in front of the camera. And I'm this case I was amazed not only by the most expensive wines but also by the less expensive ones. I though that came out clear (I had the highest words about the last expensive wine - still not cheap at 40 USD, but much less than the one at 200)
However, I must admit that I hardly ever tasted anything like that Hennessy Paradis cognac. That was really from another world of spirits..... Also that one wine at the lounge in my lounge video was outstanding and hard to compare to any wine I had before. Just very different from anything else. I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea though. I'm happy I had the opportunity to enjoys it though.
But also I think it's very important to see that these things are special and not an everyday thing.... Keeps life exciting too, to have special moments and then again regular days. 😊
And more I'll open a beautiful bottle of German 10€ Riesling wine 😊😊😊

Hi John! Somebody else wrote that too - but here's the thing: I REALLY do my reports only for YOU GUYS! If I would do it for myself, I would of course take their complimentary hotel room... But then I can't show you the lounge in all its reality (because as you might have seen in my lounge report, it isn't only great - not at all). But thank you for writing! You asked for a nice Sh#t Storm rant about your Sturgeon Roe starter, so here is a small one regarding that particular caviar service. I am surprised that Emirates offered you sour cream with it. Only the Russians, Czechs, Poles, & Ukrainians eat their Caviar with Sour Cream instead of the usual 'Crem Fresh', (or at least this was the case in my limited experience from living in Wien, and traveling a lot in Eastern Europe. I saw that the Russians, Czechs, Poles, & Ukrainians ate sour cream with just about everything that was sweet or salty, like Borsht, Palminis, Fruit Compotes, etc. Also, good Caviar was pretty inexpensive in those countries and so it wasn't really considered super elegant except for in really fine restaurants, or French places, because it's, well...Sour, which I think overpowers the subtle flavor of the delicate Sturgeon or Trout Roe). In the USA we also usually use Crem Fresh (and Toast Points instead of Bilinis). Even in Mexico & El Salvador they use Crema, unless the Roe is super salty like Lumpfish or Salmon eggs (but I'm sure your Caviar was at least Sevruga, or Ossietra judging by the greyish color & size). I've also had Beluga Caviar in Turkey, which was from Azerbaijan, and either Crem Fresh was offered with it, or no type of cream at all, I can't remember. As you can see, I absolutely LOVE Good Caviar (probably due to me being ethically Swedish - and we'll devour anything that comes from the sea). But maybe Dubai doesn't have a tradition of eating great caviar as it's not natural to their waters. I did fly to Dubai once for a movie job back in 2016, but I wasn't offered caviar on the flight, it being on Business Class and paid for by the production company. My apologies for my long winded Sh#t Storm.
That's auch a wonderful comment! Finally somebody who talks about details when it comes to caviar. I remember it wasn't the most amazing one there in Emirates. Lots of glamor, though. Clearly subpar to what Lufthansa had and, most recently, Cathay Pacific First Class (have you seen my report there yet?)

You're right, it was not the most expensive thing from the beginning - actually, as far as I understand, it started being exclusive when the Russian tsars started to call it the most amazing food, then it got exported to Paris where it got the final touch of exclusivity, with Petrossian. All things I miss on other travel channels - that I hear details, not just see a picture of a stranger holding a glass of champagne... 🙈

Never had Beluga, would be really interesting - but NOT because it's expensive but because I just love food and comparing different qualities, be it meat, be it wine, be it cocoa, be it caviar.

BTW, every great thing said about Beluga Caviar is Spot-On. Beluga eggs are larger with thinner skins that hold more oil, which is less salty and much richer than smaller roes. It's like cooled melted sea-butter. Like freshwater Ambrosia. Like a feast for tiny Mermaids. What a superb and delicate delight that you will truly love.
Oh, and you have a great singing voice too. Have you ever played Faust? What is your favorite Operas? Mine are "Götterdämmerung," and "Turandot," (even though Puccini died before finishing it). Ein Prost nach Puccini und Sie! Skol & Cheers - vor Oper!

As you can see, even though I offer highly comprehensive and also entertaining content, and wie a lot in the meantime, RUclips somehow doesn't like me.
