Welcome to the Emirates First Class Lounge in Dubai - and my brutally honest review!
As part of the 32 Hours Emirates First Class Experience, we are visiting the Emirates First Class Lounge in Dubai. Like in my report about all Emirates Business Class Lounges, we're staying at the Emirates First Class Lounge at Concourse B for 14 hours.
➡️ We're taking a close look at what you get or what you don't get here at the First Class Lounge - in the evening, at night and in the morning. One thing I can tell you already know: You'll probably find the best wines in all lounges worldwide. However, here's also some really big disappointment.
But what's the lounge-like? How is the food? Can you refresh yourself and relax in style? Are there other special services? Will you be prettier after a visit? Lots of important questions!
➡️ Come with me, we'll get the answers!
💬 What has your experience been like with lounges? Do any stand out to you as being particularly special? Let me know down below!

I am a travel review fanatic so I watch a lot of reviews. This has been by far the most detailed review by far. Absolutely loved it. Thank you for taking the time and effort to film this review and looking forward to watching a lot more reviews from this excellent channel
Hello and thank you so much for this feedback, which makes me really happy. I try to make all reviews as comprehensive, fair and honest as possible, in an entertaining way once in a while. So I hope you'll have a good time surfing on my channel and watching my content about airings and maybe even some destinations (especially Thailand where I'm an expert) and hotels. If you like lounge reports, please know that you'll find the most comprehensive review on RUclips of all Emirates Business Class Lounges in Dubai on my original German channel, which used to be bilingual until August 2021. This is the channel: @TravelSingFly
And this is the Emirates business lounge report there (pre-Covid, but it's the same now again): ruclips.net/video/mpQzgtkGk14/видео.html
Cheers from Germany
Chris
@@TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition thanks for your reply. I have already watched a few of your reviews and am, very much, looking forward to watching and enjoying each and everyone of your reviews. It's thanks to people like you who take people like me to places I would never get an opportunity to visit. Appreciate your work
This is fabulous thank you so much for making this video for all of us to enjoy. I will finally get to experience emirates next week and your videos including the very thorough and comprehensive business lounge video not only made me even more excited for this experience but also helped me decide whether or not to pay the upgrade price to enter the first class. Your videos are not only informative but also so so very fun!!!!❤. I also love how you can be honest and cute about what is disappointing without being negative. By the way is there anywhere on RUclips or somewhere that we can see you sing? I’m also a huge opera fan and I LOVE your voice!
Thank you so much for this wonderful comment and feedback! That's great to read! I'm wishing you a great trip with Emirates now - and hope to hear back from you how you liked it.
If you wanna hear some of my singing, you can find me on spotify or also here. For example with this: ruclips.net/video/l4Cy2sZtg20/видео.htmlsi=HcYJwagDsqHRSwWY
(just please don't comment under it saying something about this travel channel - as this channel here is my undercover work for pleasure and should not be mixed with my actual carreer 🙂 )
Cheers from Germany!
Chris
Chris, really joy your videos and style. Trying Emirates for the first time later this year and cannot wait to see all this for real. Managed to wangle the Qatar Al Safwa lounge in 2020, and now have an addiction to these things !!
Hi Charles, thank you so much! There's a lot of English content on my original channel too - I just started this one last summer, to enhance the viewing experience for my international viewers (not changing between German and English all the time) - not so sure if that is working out. But anyhow, have a look at my original channel too: ruclips.net/user/travelsingfly You'll find there the biggest report about all Emirates Business Lounges of Dubai on all of RUclips, in addition to many more airline and destination reports. But all new reports will come here. Thank you so much for watching! And let me know about your experience with Emirates then! It's a great airline in general!
Really joy or enjoy?
@@kaisercc back to spelling school for me.
Another truly first-rate review!! What a nice space to recharge during a long layover. You need a nap after all that drinking and eating!!! 🤣
Hi Dale! As you might have seen I didn't get to rest at all there due to the almost non-existant resting options - but I was rewarded with an exceptional flight experience, as you saw now in the 3rd episode of this series.... Thank you so much for being part in this!
Chris
The most positive thing is that Emirates First it is cheap than JAL Business. But the lounge service is just the same as JAL First in Tokyo. Hope Emirates improve more.
Hi! Very nice to get a comment from what I guess is Japan! Welcome to my channel! Hope you'll find more reports here that for you!
There's also lots of English reviews on my original channel www.RUclips.com/c/TravelSingFly
(bilingual English/ German until last August 2021)
How does this video not have more views? Something is awfully wrong cuz this video is GOLD
Thank you so much! I know my two channels are growing in turtle speed compared to what is in there... 🙈 But I value each and every viewer and subscriber even more. Thank you so much for being one of them - and let's hope that many more people will find my content....
@@TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition It is not that I don't believe you but did they really have food at 2:30 am? That is soo cool
Hi, I wanna know why you did not use the free hotel even though ur layover time is over 10h.
Thank you for this question. Very simple answer: I did the whole trip for my channel. If I go to a hotel, I do have a nice sleep and much more relaxing trip. BUT: I wouldn't have this interesting report. I prefer showing all this over having a comfy trip for myself. My audience had grown to a really nice community and they're all super important to me. So with every trip I do, I try to make the best out of it in regards of having a good, useful, full-content, entertaining report for you all. 😊😊😊
I was incredible exhausted after the whole first class trip, which ended after the 14-hour flight to Toronto. Normally you'd arrive super relaxed - but not when doing a really honest, fully-commented report, in two languages for 2 channels, like I do.... So I usually rest AFTER a trip... 😅🙈🤷🏻♂️. Still, very happy and grateful that I can do these things
@@TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition Thx a lot!
Can you please direct me on where to pay for the lounge? The emirates website doesn't have a paying option...
As far as I know you can pay at the reception of the lounge (if you feels it's worth the price)
Why didn't you get a hotel in Dubai?
Hi! Actually, I don't do these trips for my enjoyment but for my channel. If I go to the hotel, I'd have a relaxing night - but there would be no report about the first class lounge in all its entirety. I wouldn't be able to show everything in the lounge and in a realistic way.
I think Business Class lounge is overall a better option cost vs quality.
When it comes to comfort, absolutely. Have you seen my detailed report about all Emirates business class lounges in Dubai? It's the only really comprehensive one on RUclips. (on my original channel @Travelsingfly)
If your into wines, there's hardly a place where you can taste those rare wines at a similar price even if you'd pay the full lounge access (which I wouldn't do)
Does emirates lounge serve Krug? Or only Dom?
Hi! Thanks for the question. I believe I'm showing all the interesting drinks in the video. No lounge in the world serves champagne of the price of a Dom Perignon or higher (Krug).
Emirates First Class Lounge is not only for first class guests but also guests with platinum status. So they won't serve a 250 dollar bottle to someone with a 200-dollar ticket, even if he/she flies a lot otherwise...
The highest champagne they have is vintage Moet. It's just good that most people just go by brands because they don't know much about wines - they don't see what incredible wines there are. Much more interesting and way rarer than a Dom Perignon champagne.
If you're interested in prices, more expensive champagne is served at the first class lounges of Etihad (currently Sténopé, at 110/bottle - I'm not a big fan) and Cathay (Deutz Millesime 2012, 160/bottle - very good)
Check out my videos about the Qatar Airways First Class Lounge as well as the First Classes on Emirates, Singapore Airlines First Class Suites, Etihad First Class Apartments, Cathay Pacific First Class and, even though it's 5 years old, it's still valid: Lufthansa First Class. I'm the only channel that goes into detail when it comes to food and beverages on these highest classes. So maybe you'll enjoy that.
Cheers from Germany!
@TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition thank you for such a thorough response. First class from US is super expensive. So that's why I was asking. About $17,000 US dollars. Just wondering if First is worth it. I enjoyed your video
@@thebeddoctor4273 Of course 17000USD s really too much money - but that's my own opinion. You will get extraordinary experiences as you will see in my videos about the Emirates First Class. But it HAS to be on an Airbus A380, first of all. On a B777, you won't get the on-baord shower and also not the on-board bar. It's always a matter of financial situation. Some people save a half lifetime to experience something special like this, while others don't even feel a 17000 USD spend - because that's just a regular week's spend. I just think that 17000 USD wouldn't be the value of it. Have a look at round-trip flights as they're much cheaper. Also, if you're interested in the experience itself, no mater from/ to where, you should maybe start in a country like Egypt where fares are always much lower that if starting out of Dubai - even though you would get even an additional flight for less money. Just look around a little... :-)
And make sure to watch my 3 videos on Emirates First Class (two on A380 and one on B777)
Christian why didn't you take advantage of the hotel service while on your 14 hour layover? Also EK seriously need to work on the shower situations in business and first class lounges and catering on board in business and first and introduce dine on demand. In business it's robotic like in its service and crew struggle with the most basic niceties!
Hi! Well, I did the whole trip not for my enjoyment but really just for my channel and my viewers. It was altogether a crazy trip - opposite of relaxing - but really wanted to give the maximum content for my audience. If I went to the hotel to sleep there, I couldn't allow the essence of what it's like to visit the lounge (that's only possible with a really long stay, as I also film for 2 versions, in 2 languages) 😊
I get what you mean with service - I think it depends on the crew. I think Emirates is still answering and top notch in both Business (on the A380) and First Class, compared to worldwide competition. But of course it stands and falls with the crew. However, in First, it is dine on demand.
Thank you so much for all your valuable feedback and additions to my video comments sections! Really great!
Chris😊
@@TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition join in Saudi Arabia this year 🤗
@alex2073 Hi Alex! Thank you very much for your valuable contribution! Well, I have to add (and I think I did) that the first class Kline in Concourse A is much more modern. However, it's also not very discreet or personalized service (however, the Qatar lounges in Doha, both Mourjan and Safwa, don't offer that either. But I do love them.
On my original channel I released an all-English report about all 4 Emirates Business Class Lounges in Dubai. It's actually by far the biggest and most complete report on RUclips. Have a look! The BC lounge in A is really beautiful, while I find the champagne lounge in B very special. I just find it a real mistake topi have almost no resting options and I think it's not okay to be forced to hear the prayer at 5am (because there's no walls), even if it's beautifully sung.... However the wine selection, a you could see, is exceptional and unique in the world.
Regarding transit hotel: it doesn't only apply to First Class, but also the Business Class and Economy Class passengers if the next possible connection is at least 10 hours away.
But there's not much to show. You just go to an Emirates transit desk, get the voucher and they bring you to the hotel.... Very unspectacular.
Couldn’t agree more about the showers in business. Truly awful compared to the standard in the lounges of other One World carriers like Cathay and Qantas.
@@tammyastill Yes, while the catering is really very good in both Business and First Class Lounges, the showers and resting areas lack a big deal of attention
Emirates need to work on catering on board, Showers in lounges, furnishing looking dated unstylish, personalised first class service at airports the crockery on board is looking dated as well.
Poor Christian you looked tired with your epic review.
That's what I'm here for giving maximal correct reviews :-) Including looking and sounding really tired after this one. (however, I think that catering on board and in the lounge is very good)
Only one glass of each wine?
I would have finished the bottle 😁
Great review.
The videos of the buffet were a bit rushed and we didn't get a clear view of what was on offer. But other than that it was a amazing review. Thanks
Hi! Thank you for your comment! Very happy you enjoyed it - and good to know that you found the bigger scene too fast. Things like that help me in my future work here. Most people tend to see everything as fast as possible. They want to see almost no details anymore and just see it all in 1 minute - I'm already super much swimming against that development.... 🙈
So I thought to just make the bigger scene faster and therefore I showed the complete menu cards. But I'll take your feedback for the next time, thank you so much! 😊
(BTW, if you wanna see it again, almost all the buffet listings are on those menu cards)
TBH, I would have finished the bottle too - if I would have done the trip just for my own enjoyment. But that would have meant that I couldn't do the report on the subsequent trip on longhaul first class to Toronto - and that whole trip was only for my channel, without personal plans to go there...
Cheers from Germany!
Chris
Brilliant !!!!!
It's too cute when ppl think there are stuff for free.
It's not for free at all in the end, since it's part of a multiple-1000-USD ticket - or platinum status as a result of countless flights with Emirates. But once you got there, it is indeed for free. Not in a cheap way though...
@@TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition Free is when you get something and when you don't give anything in exchange. Clearly those wines are included on the flying ticket price.
I commiserate about the crappy resting lounges out in the open in this lounge we've had somewhat similar experiences there over the last few years and made complaints, politely letting the Concierge, the 1st class purser on the flight, andEmirates via our Platinum profiles how disappointed and displeased we have been at all the things you saw and endured. Us paying $15,000 for twin fares return (regularly) and given this sort of a lounge ... bad bad bad!
Well, I think there's some good and some not ask great things. The good part is the incredible wine selection, as I pointed out in my report. Other than that there's room for a lot of improvement. But then, Emirates' First Class Lounges are open not just to first class passengers (and Emirates has by far the most first class seats in their fleet) but to thousands of Platinum members. In that aspect it's again pretty exclusive. But I agree with you, especially the lack of beautiful shower spas and decent resting rooms is very disappointing. (even though Emirates offer free, 5*hotels rooms for long layovers)
Love to see you save yourself holding that annoying, distorting, sometimes too loud mike, and get one of the models that so many utubers use (can't think of the name right now) ... a small square box that can clip onto the front of clothes, had great sound cone to pickup your voice clearly, so smooth and perfect sound pickup. Sorry to break to to you but that mike makes your vlogs rough and unpleasant during some parts.
Dear Philip, I really appreciate constructive critique like this one. Your totally right. You know, I mention it actually in my long report about the Emirates long haul First Class: I was incredibly unlucky just before the filing for the three episodes started: My good clip-on microphone simply stopped working and then I stepped on the substitute microphone. I was left with a super cheap, bad microphone - so I only had the voice between improvising or simply not filming anything and noise enjoying the whole thing for myself (which would have been nice, but so sad for the content on my channel)
In the meantime I bought indeed exactly the microphone you were describing. You can see it for the first time in my report about Singapore Airlines First Class Suites which got released a week ago.
Thank you for reaching out! I'm working on improving with every new report, especially on the technical part, as the content is already quite where I like to have it. Cheers from Europe! Chris
Love your video as always. Amazing channel (my favorite 😬 much better than others aviation RUclipsrs). Thank you for another great video. Lots of love from Israel ❤😊✌
Thank you so much for this amazing feedback! Really made my day!
Wow, that's amazing - you ate a lot! The $700 wine looked superb, and I loved your reaction to the 2nd red wine. Pure indulgence! Enjoy.
Hello, thank you so much for this nice feedback! I also released the biggest report about all Emirates business class lounges in Dubai. It's on my other channel: There's two channels, and you'll find all English videos before August 2021 on the original one: www.RUclips.com/c/TravelSingFly
(was bilingual until then - now German only, plus this all-English one here)
Yummy yummy love it some plates pls
I just found your lovely channel. Does dubai offer hotels like changi where you can get the rooms from 6 hours
Hi! Thank you for the compliments! Please stay tuned for really great stuff to come this fall. They do offer something similar in Dubai. However, I didn't use it as I wanted to complete this report.
I did the same with the Emirates business class lounge, where I filmed the only really comprehensive lounge report that exists on RUclips. Pretty fun to watch too. Cheers from Germany
Chris that was awesome. I agree with your analysis and summary from what I have seen. Although it is almost worth going for the amazing wine selection and sheer size and space of the place, and of course very long connections have the hotel option for sleep. It is very intriguing and your food selections looked very good. I adore scallops and king prawns. Thanks for another great video.
Thank you so much!
I was also thinking, even it's really expensive, for real wine lovers and wine experts it might even be worth the big cash access fee. If you get to drink what I had......
