After 20 years of working in a hospital I can say whole heartedly that there is a few drs and nurses and paramedics that are stupid enough to not think through things fully when it comes to emotive topics. Many health care professionals have a huge disconnect between them and many sections of the community.
If you create a tailback you can't magically allow an ambulance through.
I went to University with people who all became doctors and they’re flabbergasted by the ethical double standards of this GP. None of them learnt environmental sciences during medical school as far as I know…
LOOK.....Why bother with all this education nonsense. Anyone with half a gram of sense knows that gluing your tits and hands to the road and walking slow to disrupt peoples lives will solve the climate issues. Why block they're faces. They need to be named and shamed. Typical commercial tv.
A GP has serious responsibility and diagnoses a person from basic issues to potentially catching life threatening problems. Such a person should have more intelligence than to think blocking traffic has any direct, or indirect, affect on anything political. I expect this from no lifers who don't understand the greater picture, but from a doctor? I would never want to be appointed this idiot. Absolutely shocking.

I am curious how do the just stop oil protestors travel to these locations? If i remember correctly, didnt they organise a blockage on the motorway near Manchester Airport.
That doctor should be struck off, he basically implies that if someone was in a car with a chronic heart condition and needing treatment he wouldn't move.
They want something done about the disruption, not about stopping the oil. That figures. And he's a certified GP. Good grief!!

Sadly the convention has nothing to do with being a part of the EU. Many people thought that leaving the EU would mean that we would no longer be a part of the European courts of justice. Its not the case.

Nothing wrong with a protest but do it outside parliment . There should be a mandatory 2 years for there behaviour if football fans were acting like this they get prison these morans are vandalizing everywere nothing gets done also arrest the tv camera men woman who are encouraging it if they are not there dont think this happens
if hes worked in these places it sounds like sudan or somewhere where, where the desert has always been there and will never change. thats how its always been. stopping oil and the climate wont change a damn thing and ive been there too. try stopping the guns first
Haven't you read of desertification. The desert is encroaching on formerly fertile land at an alarming rate. It is far from static. You need to read more quality literature than the daily mail to stay informed. The doctor is highly intelligent and uses his brain to think. Try it.
More CO2 in the atmosphere allows plants to grow with less water.

Cant believe that a GP thinks he is above the law and has the right to say who's criminal and then has the right to take actions to punich the criminal. Gosh, where have we arrived in this country? If this is his belief, what is there to stop him from refusing to give treatment to someone who comes to him in his GP practice if he deems that person to be a criminal and should therefore withold care from him? Where does this madness end?

How did this dude get a medical degree? You can’t swear an oath to keep people well then ensure they die by blocking the street illegally.
These people do not want to take responsibility for the damage they do to other people. Every time they are asked about the direct damages they cause to the drivers of the vehicles they block, they change the topic of the conversation and begin to mention damages to other people who possibly do not agree with these methods of protest.
They always begin their little rebuttal with "we are in a situation" or "its a very terrible situation we are in" to change the subject to talking about how millions of people are dying. As if we succeed in climate correction, millions of people around the world would cease to stop dying. Millions of people die every day from all sorts of causes. They enjoy doing it. Every video ive watched so far when it has showed a close up of their faces; they are smirking or smiling.

It's so sad that there are so many young people out there, who would do anything to become a doctor and actually save lives, but are not able to secure a place at university due to the competition. And yet this nutcase of a "doctor" is going out of his way to harm his own society.

So to sum it up, we are protesting to save lives yet we have no problem killing people while they are trying to get to the hospital. 😂 . I want to know how much they are getting paid. He stoped practicing medicine because they offered him more money.

This "doctor" has to realise that he's not just blocking people on their way to doctors appointments. He's also holding up the ambulance service, carers, nurses and doctors on their way to their shifts, people whom he can't just "check up on" in their car like cancer patients who need chemo, people on their way to see psychiatrists etc.
For the love of God, please revoke this man's licence. Doctors aren't supposed to let their bias affect their patients or people in need. Yet this man is actively part of a cause that puts others in danger.
