The reason why wages have stagnated isn't because of immigration, it is because of a stagnant economy and a lack of investment in new technology, infrastructure and equipment. And as for house prices, yes an increase in the population has contributed to rising house prices but this could easily be avoided if enough houses had been built which is a very achievable goal. Also immigration is a necessary part of our economy as we have an ageing population meaning that more people are leaving the workforce than entering it. This means that at the same time as tax receipts are declining (due to the shrinking work force), costs are going up as pensioners are more expensive for the government (as they have pensions and are more of a burden on the NHS, as they get ill more often).

The reason why wages have stagnated isn't because of immigration, it is because of a stagnant economy and a lack of investment in new technology, infrastructure and equipment. And as for house prices, yes an increase in the population has contributed to rising house prices but this could easily be avoided if enough houses had been built which is a very achievable goal.
Also immigration is a necessary part of our economy as we have an ageing population meaning that more people are leaving the workforce than entering it. This means that at the same time as tax receipts are declining (due to the shrinking work force), costs are going up as pensioners are more expensive for the government (as they have pensions and are more of a burden on the NHS, as they get ill more often).
