- More and more people are trying to do their bit to tackle climate change, but is it too expensive for individuals to make the necessary changes? After yesterday's demonstration of climate activists bringing the M25 to a standstill, activists Asad Rehmen and Liam Norton joined Susanna and Richard. The UN Ambassador for climate change also joined the conversation, saying 'there is a fine line to be trodden in terms of disruption to get attention from the government to make the point that they're not doing enough.'

I live in a small village in Norfolk next to a much larger town. I know a lot of local people in both places. I know of not one single household in the area that is not insulated or that should have more insulation. In my case, I did not seek a hand out to do it and I happily paid for it myself. Why? Because I have a job and wanted to make my home more efficient. And, it sure as hell did'nt cost 20k like many of these wankers claim. If you are in the road for the purpose of disrupting law abidding traffic then you deserve what you get.

@@micu1544 The environment is collapsing, every time there's a hurricane/earthquake/drought hundreds of thousands die, new diseases are sweeping across the planet killing millions, food shortages are getting worse, poverty is exploding...if you do a little research, the carrying capacity of the planet is maybe 4-5 billion humans, but we'll be at 9 billion in a few years. It's way, way too many for a host of reasons.
But like I said, we'll adapt, it's what we're good at.

The ice caps are not melting, the oceans are not rising. The climate is always changing, one year or decade the temps rise them they cycle lower. It's always changing.
Why is the entire narrative angled towards agreeing there is a climate crises? If scientist and researchers are paid enough, they will fit any narrative the government (and beyond) requires. Why does this show not have repeat guests who are able to argue convincingly that there is no climate crises, thus this entire fiasco is totally redundant and a waste of everyone's time.

Because the vast vast majority of qualified people agree that there is a climate crisis and have done so for decades. There are plenty of paid actors trying to convince you that nothing is wrong though. Huge sums of money are being spent on climate change denial. Most media organisations are denialists. If you want to stick your head in the sand then by all means, but be quiet.
Insulate every home even the person who owns there own home? Most houses are double glazed? Owned or rented? Every oap i know have very hot houses in the winter? Plus the government give them a heating allowance. So who house are we insulating?
How about we start protesting at their homes and interrupting their lives to see how they like it.

these 2 hosts specialy that women has absoulately no educational or visionary fundamental to argue in this topic because they simply can not show any skill for establishing basic logic and understanding of the situation we are in. I watched many of these debates in this program and they always ask what if there was a person with cancer in that traffic. they simply do not understand the fact that even if that person survived the heart attack they wont make it into a briliant future if we keep going like this. These people who critise these activists need to understand that activists are not killing or trying to kill people they are just trying to attract attention to the situation. As i said before i have watched a lot of these programs and none of them had any guest that was involved in a "normal" protest where they just wave a bunch of cardboard signs and yell some slogans. they always include these kind of "anormal" or "reckless" protesters in their show and they kinda support their act without even knowing.
Why is just attracting attention, not even taking action that makes an actual impact, worth the lives and jobs of random people taking care of their families and building the society of the future. There are more roads that lead to Rome, but this one goes straight into the rising fucking sea. They are fucking over the people they say they care about. If you want me to name better solutions let me know because my healthy mind can make up hundreds.

Heart attack has become so normal since Covid, even some schools have defibrillators! Nobody seems much interested in pursuing the reason for this.
The coronation and pride parades are officially sanctioned and coordinated, with transport redirection, emergency medical cover and access plans in place.
