I remember in the 1950s a winter where we had deep snow on the ground for a week and I expect many people died of the cold. As a kid, I remember being stuck indoors for days because of relentless, non-stop, heavy rain. But in those days we didn't cry global warming for every unusual weather event.

I remember in Melbourne , Australia back in the eighties we had a summer with temperatures over 43 plus for several weeks which is nothing unusual . It was that hot the metropolitan rail network shut down due to buckled rail lines . . Nobody was running around claiming hundreds of thousands will die it was just one of hot summers .

I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE 'JUST STOP OIL' PROTESTERS BUT THEY KIND OF CONTRADICT THEMSELVES WHEN THEY SLOW OR STOP THE TRAFFIC WHICH MEANS MORE FUMES ARE CHUGGED IN THE AIR!

All those laws are still in place and every single one can be applied to these just oil protest. It is labelled terrorism what they are doing can be interpreted as a terrorist act. I actually would like to adopt their slogan, Just Stop Oil. Of course, I am lazy so I can't say the whole thing. So I will go with Just Stop. LOL. I mean, are we still giving these people a voice? They have enough freedom to completely throw off your day or stop you from hospital or stop you from going to funerals or a million other freedoms that they are awarded. So, why are we still giving this ignorance a voice? They literally are dying for a reaction. Do not give it to them. If they weren't getting the reaction they wanted, they would quit. We've had really hot weather and forest fires in the world long before humans were on this planet and long before any humans used gas and oil, or why did nature evolve trees that only reseed when their have been a forest fire and why are the Gobi and sahra deserts when they were seas, it must have been a lot hotter, we in uk have one of the lowest emissions in the world its all right for these middle class and rich numbies who have fathers and mothers that give them money so they dodnt have to work I'm a 67 year old woman who still has to work to top my state pension, with hardly any works pension because I was told I could claim on my husbands pension. I have gas for cooking and heating how can I afford to change all my appliances and central heating to reusables, and what happens to when there isn't any wind and sun so that is unreliable, I don't own a car and I only holiday in Great Britain my climate footprint is very small
