I have a Timex reaf gear with indiglo, have had it for over 15 years !! and it's been on my wrist almost every single day, used for skuba diving/working etc ...their slogan used to be: Timex, take a likin' keeps on tickin' . I no matter what ppl say they definitely do 🤩

Totally agree you have to wear a Timex to appreciate it. I have a few Timex’s and all of them work great. 👍

I prefer field watches and 1 of 3 daily beater is a Timex Expedition Scout. I will wear it when I know I might still be out of the house by dark. I have a seiko srpg27 purchased at the same price $184 on Spring sale at Macy's. Automatic vs solar when price is equal. I would choose automatic. This Timex solar looks great, not so great when my expedition scout is about 1/4 of the price and has indiglo.

My timex expedition lives on the handlebar of my motorcycle. I like the indiglow at night. It's on its third battery in 15 years. Rain, snow, sun ,
wheelies. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Buy American 🍻CHEERS

That’s amazing, most watches would be junk after a few months of this kind of abuse!

Hard to explain how you liked Citizen Garrison soo much, and you don't like this one, they are almost indentical! Wish you all the best, good videos, and my bad English...

I have the 36mm version. Really like it, the biggest problem is that the solar doesn’t hold its charge for long compared to my Citizen Eco-Drives: the Citizens can be stored for months & are still ticking as the Timex needs recharging in light after a much shorter time in the dark

The manufacturer claims that the AS01A has a power reserve of 4 months. That's not true?

    Nice piece 👍
Pleasantly surprised Timex is using the "H" link bracelet. I usually don't see this type of bracelet until looking at higher $$ models.

I like it and im not a Timex fan normally! The bead-blasted finish looks good to and has a Sinn styled bracelet which looks pretty cool but id still go with a Citizen Promaster over a Timex any day. Lastly, I'm sure they use a Miyota movement in them.

Nice bounce on that second hand, and of course it doesn't hit any of the markers on the right hand side !!

Looks good! I do like the field style, but at that price, especially with unknown movement, tough sell against Casio and Citizen solars.

My recently purchased Timex Marlin automatic Snoopy has very similar packaging. Timex makes an automatic titanium sapphire version I am considering.

I had no idea Timex made solar powered watches! I thought that was the preserve of the likes of the Japanese heavyweights. I wish this had indiglo...with a solar charge, there would be no worry of draining the battery.

Helpful video. When I saw this online, I was quite hopeful as the quality looked reasonably good. However, the fact that you can see the solar module and its attachments doesn't appeal to me. There's also quite a bit of play/wobble on the second hand. Citizen are producing better quality watches for a similar price and use a better quartz/ solar module.

Agreed. You simply can't beat Citizen. I have the 300m solar monocoque diver that's about 17yrs old and it's still rock solid.

oh seems the seconds rod has not enough force to climb from 6 to 12. Furthermore there is a very big misalignment.😜however I like the design and other spec.

You're completely right, it's probably the cheapest Chinese solar unit known to man !! It certainly ain't no Eco drive, that's for sure. The lume, by the way is called Super Lumacrapian. Great review of a not so cheap Chinese watch !!
