It's always truly embarassing when shop owners don't know their own products, especially when they're so expensive. I work for a luxury watch retailer (we also sell JLC) and there's no way our staff would not know every detail of these watches. They go on training courses with each manufacturer just for this purpose.

Michael, the JLC Duometre chronograph function you asked about is a Foudroyante, or flashing seconds hand. It's indicating fractions of a second when the chronograph is activated. You're a kid in a candy store and it's fun to watch. Keep it up.

Patek will fill orders for them for as long as it suits them to do so. It's JUST a boutique specific model. There are MANY of them across many MFG's and Boutiques.

My watch was purchased 2 years ago from amzwatch and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.

I believe that JLC is the Duometere model which has a twin barrels movement, jumping hour besides being a Chronograph. Tremendous piece and great value for the price. That A.Lange and Sone was awesome as well Great show!

But today I have to say and thus thank you at the same time, because in this video you have shown that you have a real passion for watches. It was at the moment when the gentleman with the ponytail in the Hawaii shirt was showing you the Patek Tiffany one and you were running your glove through it while he was holding it like it was a $5 trinket. In general, you in this video always treat those watches with something of value that deserves to be thrown away for sure, which is wonderful. Unfortunately, the gentleman with the ponytail was the opposite, it looked like the presentation of the watch didn't even interest him much, he looked nervous, and he was oversleeping...Of course I don't mean to offend anyone with this, it just showed me who has a real passion for watches and who has less of that passion. Producer Michael (in my opinion) is a super cool guy and I love seeing all of his and Adam's watch videos. Having said that, I sweat bullets if I am buying a $500 Aragon watch (they are great for the price) so I'm not close to being in the league that Michael is as far as buying and owning expensive and very elite watches (ie, I'm a pretty middle class, normal guy who could never afford watches such as his). With that, I had to comment on this Tiffany Patek watch. I have seen photos of very wealthy celebrities wearing this teal colored watch and I'm completely blown away that a watch this plain looking and nondescript, could possibly cost what is does. If I saw that watch next to my much more attractive $300 Aragons, I'd normally walk right by that Patek. I don't think I'd ever buy it for $100, judging by looks alone.That this watch costs several million is insane. Michael even questions the value in this video. The so-called value of this watch is absurd in my opinion.
That fast-moving dial at the 6-o'clock mark is a _split seconds hand_ in *one-fifth of a second* increments. They're very common, but they are not usually so large on a watch face. All of my Breitling watches run at one-fifth increments on the _seconds_ sub-dial or the sweep hand.
To me, Michael & Adam were literally the best part of this video. Not the guys who own this store. They acted like “dead fish”. Their inventory too was odd. Very eclectic. $2.7 million for that Tiffany Blue Patek?! Talk about a huge price margin! Lots of profit in that one!
