a common use case for a laptop is that it sits on a desk, all the time. Why would they be designed to ruin their batteries if left plugged in all the time? Really stupid of the computer industry. (Thanks for the video, nice and clear)

If you have time, though, I have a bizarre problem: I replace the battery and it works fine, charges and drains... but when the power cord is plugged in and it's charging, works fine if I unplug the laptop while it's running, but if I move the laptop too much while plugged in it crashes as if it's running with no battery and got disconnected. I think this has to do with a weak connection because I went to unplug the laptop and got a shock, did I somehow install the battery incorrectly? Or is there a software issue somewhere? I've updated my battery drivers and windows, so why is the battery not taking over like it should?
Sorry for the long question, I know youtube comments like these can be annoying since there's no way to properly diagnose and this isn't the platform for that, but I figured trying wouldn't hurt

Hi, Ples am using an HP OMEN 15 and if am play games with it whiles on charge I loss so much fps buh if I remove it from charge, there will bi an improvements in fps. Can that bi caused by the battery?

I have a laptop OMEN by HP 15-ax246nf Laptop PC
the battery (4 cell 63.3Wh Li-Ion battery) does not charge and the mains supply is good
after having carried out all the tests (software) the battery seems in good condition and the cells too.
in the device manager the installed drivers are from microsoft and not (official) hp

Can I remove the battery and use the laptop as monitor (on direct power input) only?
Just done it today, I have an omen 15, 5 years old, always plugged in, I replaced the m2 ssd and noticed the swollen battery, I was just about to replace the computer, and I just removed the battery, it will try to boot a few times as it doesn’t know what just happened until it resets the bios and all ok, just works👍
@@333dwmh yeah i have been doing that as well. But while gaming, it heats up really bad though.
@@abhimanyusinghchouhan1691 Change the thermal paste on both cpu and gpu and keep the laptop higher than the desk, there are on amazon some laptop stand-raisers that do exactly that.👍
